Genesis 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
Because from her womb came children who grew and had children- who also grew to have children. All humans came from Eve- therefore she is the mother, great grandmother, great great great etc. She is the mother of all the living.

I guess it's important to prove there are no aliens or etc- we are it.

i see it this way, too.

they had just heard God's promise the woman's offspring would crush the head of the serpent.
though i imagine he didn't fully understand it then, Adam's name for Eve showed he believed God would give offspring.

An interesting theory I heard, as sin entering the world is attributed to Adam
the first Adam; and Jesus took away all sin the last Adam. Then in theory if
only Eve had sinned and not Adam, then maybe sin would not have entered the
world?

Romans 5:12 NKJV
[12] Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through
sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned-

1 Corinthians 15:22 NKJV
[22] For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

Its interesting that Adam is not given the title of father of all living, but maybe
that position is taken by God? Or maybe it's because sin was attributed to Adam?

Just a few thoughts I'm tossing around. Please don't try to hurt me. Lol

Genesis 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
Because Adam saw what sin had done to the peaceful relationship he had with his wife. To help calm things down - poor guy - he complimented her, praised her "Honey, I'm calling you Eve. You are the mother of all living."
Eve then picked up a frying pan...Wham, right upside the head.
That's right. That's how it is.
Really.
It's true.

Genesis 4:16 Then Cain went out from the LORD's presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Notice that there is another land and another nation called "Nod". Yet according to most teachings, there are only three people living on earth to this time. These other people upon the earth are those of the sixth-day creation of Genesis 1:28.

Genesis 4:16 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

Cain's wife was not a seed, but a woman and offspring of the earlier creation. You will notice a strange thing that starts here and continues through the Scriptures. You are reading the fourth chapter a genealogy of Cain. Then in the fifth Chapter, we will come to the genealogy of Adam. You will not find Cain in the genealogy of Adam, for there is no record of Cain anywhere as being of Adam's genealogy. Remember when even Jesus told us that Cain, the first murderer, was of "his father the Devil".

God gave Cain and Adam approximately the same number of children, and Cain will name his children similar names. The difference is in the name ending "el" of Cain's children, and "ah" in Adam's children's offspring. Most people just skip over names and take their message, and in these latter days can lead you into deception. So this "Enoch" is not an offspring of Adam, but the son of Cain.

You have the 6th-day creation.

On the 7th day, God Rested.

On the 8th day, or after the 7th day if you prefer, God created Adam & Eve.

Most teachings I have seen postulate that because Adam and Eve had others sons and daughters besides the ones named, that any city such as Nod could have easily been inhabited by the descendants of Adam and Eve who moved away.

According to the simple mathematics, if Cain waited to marry until he was about 200 years old, he probably had several women to choose from. If he waited another 200 years to build a city, he could have had at least a few thousand people to help him, again assuming some migration occurred. It is not entirely impossible that Cain had sisters (or nieces) from whom to take a wife even before his banishment and the birth of Seth. Reasons To Believe : Finding a Wife for Cain

Okay. Thank you. I still don't understand. Are you saying there are two creations of people in Genesis. A creation of one group at one time and then a creation of another group at a later time?

No me - God's Word says it.

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Genesis 2:2-4

2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The word "formed" is used [molded as clay] to describe the making of Adam. When man was formed he became a living creature. In the Hebrew it is "eth-ha-adham", which refers to the particular person "Adam", (not a generic form for man). The "Ha-Adham" [Adam] is the man that Christ will come forth through. Matthew 1:1-17, and Luke 3:23-38 both give us our documentation that this is true and did come to pass. Paul states in I Corinthians 15:21-23 that sin came into the world by the first Adam, but by the second Adam [Christ} all shall be made alive. Christ is the first fruits [to come out of the grave to everlasting life], and then "they that are Christ's at His coming". There was death by the first Adam, and salvation by Christ Himself.

Nothing new under the sun.

God’s Word has always been controversial, especially among religious folks. For example, when Christ spoke, even when He performed miracles, what was the reaction of the religious leaders.

Religion is one of Satan’s hidden dynasties. And, if you look around, you’ll see him performing some of his best work from Christian pulpits. Also, keep in mind that denomination = division.

You had better go back and Genesis chapter 1 verses 26-31 again, man was created on the sixth day.

[SUP]26 [/SUP]Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the [SUP][ak][/SUP]sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” [SUP]27 [/SUP]God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. [SUP]28 [/SUP]God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the [SUP][al][/SUP]sky and over every living thing that [SUP][am][/SUP]moves on the earth.” [SUP]29 [/SUP]Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the [SUP][an][/SUP]surface of all the earth, and every tree [SUP][ao][/SUP]which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; [SUP]30 [/SUP]and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the [SUP][ap][/SUP]sky and to every thing that [SUP][aq][/SUP]moves on the earth [SUP][ar][/SUP]which has life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so. [SUP]31 [/SUP]God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. NASB (emphasis mine)

Genesis 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
Adam and Eve are the first two people that God created,so all of humanity would of had to come from Eve,and Adam could be called the father of all living. All humanity came from Adam and Eve,but it was not a sin at that time to marry within the family, and did not cause deformities, which that came later after the flood, and the families of the earth where divided by Noah's three sons of the different ethnic groups.

You were not thinking that when it says that she is the mother of all living that it included insects and animals, were you, were you,but I joke.
