Easter is biblically sound, in a way.

Luke 22:18-20
18 for I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

The unbelievers may dilute the gospel down to a river of chocolate, but not the blood of Christ.

The third cup of wine, was the cup of redemption. Our redemption (total) is our being transformed into our new glorified bodies. So there will not be total redemption until He returns to earn to setup His kingdom.

Easter is biblically sound, in a way.
Jesus Christ is our Passover Lamb.

1 Corinthians 5:7
Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed.

John 1:29
The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

John 19:36
For these things came to pass to fulfill the Scripture, "NOT A BONE OF HIM SHALL BE BROKEN."

Exodus 12:3
"Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, 'On the tenth of this month they are each one to take a lamb for themselves, according to their fathers' households, a lamb for each household.

Isaiah 53:7
He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.

Exodus 12:6
'You shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month, then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel is to kill it at twilight.

Exodus 12:5
'Your lamb shall be an unblemished male a year old; you may take it from the sheep or from the goats.

Exodus 12:13
'The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

Exodus 12:7
'Moreover, they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses in which they eat it.

Mark 14:12
On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb was being sacrificed, His disciples said to Him, "Where do You want us to go and prepare for You to eat the Passover?"

1 Peter 1:19
but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

Revelation 13:8
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.

Matthew 26:2
"You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be handed over for crucifixion."

Numbers 9:12
'They shall leave none of it until morning, nor break a bone of it; according to all the statute of the Passover they shall observe it.

Matthew 26:26
While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said,
"Take, eat; this is My body."

Psalm 34:20
He keeps all his bones, Not one of them is broken.

1 Peter 1:18-19
knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

John 18:28
Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas into the Praetorium, and it was early; and they themselves did not enter into the Praetorium so that they would not be defiled, but might eat the Passover.

Matthew 26:17
Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?"

Luke 22:7
Then came the first day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed.

Genesis 22:8
Abraham said, "God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." So the two of them walked on together.

2 Chronicles 30:15
Then they slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth of the second month And the priests and Levites were ashamed of themselves, and consecrated themselves and brought burnt offerings to the house of the LORD.

Ezra 6:19
The exiles observed the Passover on the fourteenth of the first month.

How about pagan things like the names of the days of the week? Should we avoid them as well?
(Not that I buy easter eggs... to expensive... but if I did, it wouldn't be for the sake of being pagan)

Easter is a pagan holiday..........now..........Resurrection Sunday is certainly Biblically sound

Evidence of this is best proved with Scriptures concerning His resurrection, not the Last Supper

well exactly

wonder how many people have accepted Jesus while watching a passion play or some home cooked thing the kids did at church

people seem to need a cause and need to wash their robes in some bleach of their own making not understanding that the blood of Jesus is what makes your robes white

like this for example:

passover is when the angel of death PASSED OVER the homes of the Israelites living in Egypt.

You're the dumb one, and you cant even read. Stay in your paganism, you are twice my age and illiterate while living in Canada? good stuff.
They celebrated passover for centuries after the incident in Egypt hahaha, they still do to this day.
Better disrespect the biblical holidays its under the law right, yeeh thats the devil trying to get you right there, lets go celebrate pagan holidays instead! God will love that.
Idiots like you would probably send people to a carnival as long as someone would say the sinners prayer, it dont matter if its paganism, circus or a satanic hollywood movie, as long as people are emotionally moved to say the prayer and you got one more member in the club.

Learn to show some respect maybe you'll get some.

(Now watch this moron play the victim card after attacking me and call me unloving, quote scripture about turning the other cheek, about grace etc etc. also romans 10 is about to come up, "whosoever shall call upon the Lord", its the same dance with this lot everytime)

I easily counted 11 grammatical mistakes in your post. Be careful about whom you criticize, if you do far worse yourself.

Good, because chocolate and Christmas trees have something in common. If you steam them up, they'll melt. lol

BTW, I have a bone to pick with you. I've been stuck with the theme from Enterprise running in my head for three days now. Your fault. :p
