I like how the Lord uses this guy to speak with those that like "philosophy" and that think in those terms. Thanks for the video.

At 17:35 - 17:50 Mr. Knechtle speaks about faith and states that unbelievers have a different faith than believers. I do not agree with that statement. I believe all have the same faith and the same measure of faith (Rom 12:3). God has given the same faith in the same measure to every person born since time of Adam/Eve. God does not give me more faith than you, or you more faith than me.

The question is not "Do I (or you) have faith". The question is "What (or WHOM) do we place our faith in".

The difference between the atheist, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc., etc., is what (or Who) do we place our faith in.

If I sincerely place my faith in what is not true, I am worse off than the person who places his/her faith in what is true.

Rom 10:17 tells us faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. When someone approaches me with truth from Scripture, I can either believe or not believe what I hear. If I believe what I hear, God brings increase of His Word in my heart (1 Cor 3:7). On the other hand, if I do not believe, in essence I restrain the truth. I do not allow the truth to reside in my heart where God can bring increase.

Everyone has the faith ability, but you choose where to put it.

I disagree with this.... God gives us faith according to what He thinks we are capable of using. Continue reading in Romans 12

[SUP]6 [/SUP]Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, [SUP][f][/SUP]according to the proportion of his faith;
Also, remember the parable of the talents... each servant was given according to his ability...

12:1, 3 "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship....3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned."

The context of verse 3 starts in verse 1, it addressed to the Church. The faith given in verse 3 keeps in the context of verse 1, then Paul tells that each of that group brothers/everyone amount you/each has a measure of faith. The over arching factor of our faith is God's grace, by grace you are saved through faith.

Romans 10:17 brings saving faith.

I believe we all start out with the same measure.

I also believe faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Rom 10:17). As we hear God’s Word and allow it to settle in our hearts, God gives the increase.

As we mature spiritually, our faith grows.

As far as the talents, I do believe God gives us what we can handle. As we are all at differing points in our walk of faith, some may be able to handle more than others … not because we started out at differing levels of faith but because one may be further along in his/her walk than another.
