What is Jesus's mindset?

Words, Gods word purifies the heart and soul. Confession of faith effects our eternal destiny.
We are saved to serve and perform good works.

Our hearts should overflow with the love of Christ reaching out to others, who we regard as
better than ourselves who we are happy to serve.

If we sin, we are to repent, confess and believe on the cross for forgiveness.
We have no reason to stay in sinful behaviour because we have Christ and the Holy Spirit at
work in us. It is our sinful hearts and minds that keep us captive to something Christ has set
us free from. Our excuses are as long as our arms, yet our desire to know Gods love often
shrinks to zero. So we need to exercise faith and bring everything to the foot of the cross,
and dwell in prayer and praise. Amen.

But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.
1 Tim 5:4

Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
James 1:26

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27

We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers
1 Tim 1:9

Religion in the right way is pleasing to God

1 Timothy 5:4 (NASB)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] but if any widow has children or grandchildren, they must first learn to practice piety in regard to their own family and to make some return to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

Piety in Greek = godliness ( it is not religion as the word is used today )

1 Timothy 1:9 (NASB)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers

1 Tim 5:4 religious or devout
Being devout or practicing piety is being religious.

Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship (religion) of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind.
Col 2:18

Interesting the religion of worship of angels can disqualify you.

Colossians 2:18 N-DFS
GRK: ταπεινοφροσύνῃ καὶ θρησκείᾳ τῶν ἀγγέλων

Not exactly a rebutal by g7 of the use of the word religion in scripture.

He does hate this idea so deeply.

whether or not someone cares for the word religion, hates it and spits on it, does not matter

what always matter is what our characters are

since so many seem allergic to the word religion, you know how to behave so that people will never call you religious?

right?

sure
My teddy bears claim to be allergic to soap. (They hate baths.) They get baths anyway even when they kick and scream over it. Kind of the way I feel about the word "religion." lol

Why are you so hateful?
If someone hates a concept that is biblical, why is it now me being hateful?
I will always stand up for scripture and what it declares. Is this not your heart also?

This is what I regard as a joke position. Hating "religion" is just stupid, literally.
Religion is just a word to describe buddihists meditating to pilgrammages to praise and prayer
meetings to festivals in celebration of some event or idea.

The bible is full of such things, instituted by God. Take the Passover festival, the sabbath rest.
These are not evil things but good things yet they are in their nature religious.

So when someone decides the evil in the world is down to such religious practices or beliefs,
they are not making any sense. They are religious themselves, but are actually saying a
relationship with God is worth more than ceremonies or even theology.

Now again the person wants to be an authority and be respected then they have to come forward
with sensible propositions or face ridicule from those who they deem the opposition.

And what is even more amusing, is how everything is denied and then repeated, like a washing
machine on recycle.

you mean you will stand up for Scripture until someone brings up some that you do not want to talk about. like I asked you in another thread to give your take on John 3 vs. 10-18.

no answer. so, stand up for that Scripture.
