i didn't watch whats above but

Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

We need to realize that it isn't a walk in the park, we don't just get in because we know about Jesus, we need to know Jesus as our personal savior.

I didn't listen to the video either. I'm tired of hearing believers forget or reject the love of God for us and preach about a God who is out to get us for our times of faithlessness or better yet for our lessons. A God who zaps His children with sickness and poverty and confusion to "teach them a lesson"

The truth is the tribulation a believer gets is going to come from the world, the flesh and the devil. Not our heavenly Father. He sent His Son Jesus to pay for all our failures past present and future. God is not strapped by time and neither is our salvation. Our salvation HOLDS through all time and space. Jesus is our Anchor and HE HOLDs on to us by and through His love and grace poured out for us on the cross as PROOF. We don't deserve it. We GET it as a gift. God has given us everything to succeed. He even sent the Holy Spirit to live in us and guide and direct and teach us the way to go. What a travesty to teach that we have to earn God's blessings. That is not the gospel of grace and truth.

Yet many Christians preach and teach against the very grace and truth that saves us. They unwittingly bring back a religion of works. Falling from grace is going to happen when we choose to walk our Christian life in our own strength trying to deserve the grace of God. Trying to reason out life here by getting what is worked for and deserved in the natural vs getting everything because Jesus deserved it for us.

We cannot get good things that will last for Christ by our own wisdom like we used to do when we were unsaved., the way the world survives. They fight and outwit each other in order to get a head. They use their minds (and the mind is amazing) and they defeat less fortunate people in the brains department. Humans measure their worth by how much money they have, how great their brains are and how well they can articulate words in a debate as well as the praise and backing of men in the world.

Then., when the these same religious and hard working Christians fall into confusion, problems in life with people or with money and the lack of blessings they blame God for not being there. Then to cover a mess of why their Christian lives didn't work when they followed to a TEE the religious process, they have to believe and say "Those who live godly will suffer persecution.., in this world we will have tribulation" so I'm just being very godly so the more poor and troubled and sick I am the more spiritual I am.

I do not as a rule watch videos or read other peoples books/blogs - the Word of God is sufficient ! But I wanted to be sure I got the right meaning of the title since it carried no comment from the poster.

It is quite obvious that christians have either forgotten the 'narrow way or never been on it and just coast along on a wing and a prayer....and will sadly hear the words 'I never knew you !
Is it their own fault for this 'lack of intimacy ? no, not always - that is why God set up a period of CORRECTION ! All people will hear the TRUTH before they are finally judged - GOD is FAIR and JUST !
What do people think JESUS will do in HIS 7th millennium ? And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword with which he should smite/correct nations....why sharp ? because it will divide truth from error and those who will be corrected and those who will not.
The narrow way means to be 'disciplened and walking with Jesus 24/7 !

What I also want to say is the reason people are not on the narrow path is because they are falsly taught they are 'already born again'. Why would they restrain themselves from wordly lusts if they have already achieved their goal and are saved ? There is no incentive of rejecting sin seriously if already re-born. NOW we are BEGOTTEN and only FULLY BORN AGAIN in the resurrection from the dead Rom 1v4. when we put on the new body Phil 3v21; Rom 8v21.

Many Christians are on this 'narrow path' they make for themselves. Jesus gives us life and that more abundantly. The Holy Spirit flows as rivers of living water and makes following a JOY and a pleasure not a trial to be endured. It is only a trial when we try to walk it out in the flesh. How many joyous Christians do people know in their lives??

And the Christians who ARE joyous and blessed are condemned by those who are not.
 They think if you have a smile on your face and are always joyful you must be loving the world. No one ever told them about the JOY of the Lord being their strength.

When it is really the Holy Spirit flowing rivers of living water through their lives and blessing them with all kinds of spiritual blessings that change their lives and countenance. Most people are more comfortable with a sourpuss religiously motivated (not Holy Spirit motivated) person who is not easily smiling and one who knows the Bible like a dictionary and can rattle off verse after verse. But the guys heart is far from the joy of the Lord where the strength and power is.

The narrow road is the Holy Spirit lead road. Not many are following there because walking by faith and not by sight is a scary thing for us humans. When we are following the Spirit it is life and health for us. It is joy and peace. It is the path of life. Many people are self made pick up yourself by your bootstraps Christians and get to working hard at your Christian life. Jesus got you saved now the REAL hard work begins.....

And many are on this path of works fainting and dying before their time.

The Way is narrow because it is only through Jesus Christ. You can't work your way there. You can't get there by being a nice person. You can only get there by faith that trusts in Jesus Christ alone to get you there.

Are people expecting to be 'carried there if they are not prepared to set one foot in front of the other ?
We are supposed to walk with Jesus....follow His instructions...grow into maturity... learn to walk ourselves. He has given us a start and is helping all the way. Those who are too sick to walk with Him will have to accept Healing first - but it won't be forced on them...they must repent and accept...take up their bed and walk. That is the Faith God is looking for !

The best earthly example I've heard yet is the marriage one. If you are in love and get married it's not a chore to spend time with your beloved. Wanting your marriage to work and growing old together is a beautiful goal both husband and wife are in for the duration. But even that isn't equal to the kind of steadfast love of God. Even when we fail He still loves us. His love is motivated by Himself. Not our actions. We get loved by Him and that sets off His love in us by the Holy Spirit.

The Bible says this about love.

1 John 4:10
[SUP]
10 [/SUP]Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Loving God will not be a chore because it is of the Spirit. We don't have the ability to love God unless we know the love of God in Christ. The commandment is fulfilled in Christ. Jesus did it all and we Abide in His love. Our thinking changes supernaturally. We trade in our old ways of doing things like how to love. We repent (change of mind) and begin to really learn how to love Him and others.

OK, let us base our relationship with Jesus on the same footing. Since we are joined - Him in us and we in Him it would be impossible for one to go a different way from the other....so let us walk together 24/7...everyone should examine themselves whether or not they have that loving relationship together at all times - not sneaking off to a sports event or on a shopping spree while HE goes to church on His own holy day. As His disciples (learners) we should be more than happy and regard it as an honour to spend time with our Saviour...as any Bride would be with her Husband.

Funny how when I saw the title, I knew the Word Faith people would come out and complain! After all, who cares about what the Bible says?

More seriously, I don't ever watch 70 minute videos. Do you have a synopsis or a transcript? Reading works for me!

Amen! Only through the door...many try to go through a window of their own making.
