    Default To leave or be left?

    "One thing that might be even worse than realizing that your loved one has gone to the place of no hope is to be the one on the other side who went to that place and, with guilt, remorse, and regret, realize that you left your dear wife and children without any hope of seeing you again."

    That was the only time I ever saw him get choked up and have to stop midstream through a televised message.

    He was a pastor who had to deal with those who understood that there would never be a glad reunion day with the one who had passed on into a Christ-less eternity. He had been to his mom and dad's gravesite and felt peace that he would soon see them again. He had to preach at the funerals of non-believers. He had to look into the eyes of people would never have that.

    Before you decide to reject Christ, remember that Christ and yourself are not the only ones who you will be hurting..

    Better to leave them with a living hope than with dying memories.

    (1Cor 15:19-22)
    If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
    But now is Christ risen from the dead, [and] become the firstfruits of them that slept.
    For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead.
    For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

    1 Pet 5:7
    Cast all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.

    2Cor 4:17
    For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory;

    Many a person has been saved at a preaching funeral. I know people who have requested a salvation message be preached at their funeral.

    Agree. Amen, my brother in Christ.

    22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
