People get confused with Matthew Chapters 24 - 25 because Jesus combined two separate sets of events into one discourse
One concerned events that happened within the generation he was addressing and the other during the time of his second coming. He did so because both sets have a number of things in common but not everything. Until one realizes this the arguments will continue

It branches out too much after this, but the next step is to seal the saved Jews before the wrath comes. Anyway, you get the picture I think.... Loosing the seven seals has nothing to do with a 7 year peace treaty 2000 years in the future.
At the 7th seal, The Angel gives John a little book which in my opinion is the new testament cannon because the new testament UNSEALED the old testament.
