Rev 9:18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
Rev 9:19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
Rev 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
Rev 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

After the 6th trumpet the world will still not repent of their sins, and turn to God,so God allows the man of sin to deceive all people who do not love God.

An example is WW1,and WW2.After WW1 the world does not turn to God,but the League of Nations is set up to try to obtain peace on earth, and after WW2,the United Nations, and religious organizations to try to get the religions to cooperate with each other, and this pattern will continue of people not turning to God despite their wars, and problems,so after the 6th trumpet God gives the world the man of sin to rule over those who do not love God.

I believe the seals cover a long period of time, before the 7 years period starts, the trumpets a shorter period, and the vials for the shortest period of time, and the vials is the wrath of God.
Nope, because right away all the left behind saints are beheaded, the AC IS in full force,a temple is present, the 144k are gathered and sealed, the stinging scorpions are released, etc, etc.

Many many problems with the historical view

That we have scripture foretelling that the coming false prophet will cause everyone to receive a mark in the hand or the forehead and the fact that the world has an electronic crediting and debiting system (buying and selling) in place, where people are now having chip implants under the skin of the hand for the purpose of making purchases, would demonstrate that God says what He means, a literal fulfillment of scripture.

Right in the very first verse of Revelation it states "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him to show his servants the things that must soon take place" and you people turn it into something that can't be understood, by citing hyperbole and spiritualism.

The events of Revelation, the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments are going to take place just as they have been written, with the results being literal. It is the fulfillment of the long prophesied "day of the Lord."

There are many references to the sun, moon and stars being affected during the time of God's wrath. Consequently, there is nothing in the context that would require a symbolic or hyperbolic interpretation, which are designated as such by false teachers who down-play, pacify, minimize and relocate God's wrath.

The events of the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments is how God is going to carry out his wrath upon the inhabitants of the earth leading up to Christ's return to end the age and establish his millennial kingdom.

Jesus said, "I will build my church and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it," which is still in the process of being built. Once it has been completed, the Lord will descend and will first resurrect the bodies of those who have died in him with their spirits/souls being reunited with those immortal and glorified resurrected bodies. Immediately after that, the living will be changed into their immortal and glorified bodies and will be caught up with them. At that point the entire church, from beginning to end, will be gathered to meet the Lord in the air where he will take the entire group back to the Father's house to those places that he said he was going to prepare for us according to his promise in John 14:1-3.

After the event of the gathering of the church, that antichrist will establish his seven year covenant with Israel allowing them to build their temple, which is presently already to go, with all of the furniture, the Sanhedrin, the priests and their garments and their learning how to sacrifice according to the law give by God to Moses. During that entire seven years, the events of the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments will be in operation.

By the time the 7th bowl has been poured out, the majority of the population of the earth will have been decimated and all human government will have been dismantled.

Regardless of the false teachings of hyperbole and spiritualism, these events of wrath are coming which will be in fulfillment of the following:

    ================================================
"I will sweep away everything from the face of the earth," "When I destroy all mankind on the face of the earth," declares the LORD.

I will sweep away both man and beast; I will sweep away the birds in the sky and the fish in the sea-- and the idols that cause the wicked to stumble."

"When I destroy all mankind on the face of the earth," declares the LORD,
    - Zeph.1:1-3
    ===============================================

The gathering of the church is coming very quickly, followed by the wrath of God in the form of the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments, with Christ returning to the earth to end the age and establish his millennial kingdom.

This is what the word of God teaches regarding this subject. Believe it!
    So now tenak is historicist?

    Oh brother.

That historical doctrine is one special doctrine. No other makes as many grand canyon leaps.

What on earth is driving these people????

In 1 Corinthians 10 verse 11 Paul tells us:

11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Paul here is talking about Israel in the wilderness as a typology for his generation. Israel spent 40 years in the wilderness before they died off. The same for the perverse generation; AD 26-66, / AD 33- 73 / AD 30-70. (God is so awesome he covers all the bases).

So now we can understand why Paul refers to ends (plural) of the world. The Old Covenant does indeed have two endpoints. It ended in AD 33 for the believing Jews who became the first draught of the New Covenant at Pentecost and it ended in AD73 for apostate Israel.

The Church Paul addresses fills this gap.

Now just as the wilderness Church was the typology of the first generation Church, OT Israel here in AD26-73 at the ends of the age is a typology for the final end of the World when Christ returns. So now when we go back to Matthew 3 we see the same message. Christ in his day came as salvation through grace, holy spirit, and judgement, fire. The same process will occur at the wheat harvest at the end of the age. So Christs first coming becomes a typology for his second coming.
You are complicating things way too much. Why do people constantly attempt to manipulate the Word to fit their belief system? Rather, let the Word determine what to believe. Let me walk you through Mt 3 as it is critical.

7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

The wrath here was AD 70 wrath where the wicked religious leaders were wiped out. John sees them coming towards him from Jerusalem and he already knows that Jerusalem is facing judgment. Many of the priests were killed before 70 AD then when Titus broke through he ordered the rest to be killed.

8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, 9 and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

These wicked Pharisees and Sadducees wrongly think that because they are descendants of Abraham that they have the inheritance and are in with God. John's telling them that they can be replaced by stones. If a tree does not bear fruit, it is cut down and thrown into the fire, which is a foreshadow of things to come and indeed judgment is near as the ax is already about to strike. Remember what Jesus does to the fig tree that wouldn't bear fruit? If you are looking for "types" that's a type.

11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John is also standing there with believers who the religious leaders joined so he is talking to both groups, righteous and wicked. To the righteous he tells them he will baptize them with the HS, but to the wicked, they get fire.

12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

Again, two groups are present. Christ is going to clean out the threshing floor. Remember the temple was built on an old threshing floor so we have some literal context to go along with the spiritual talk. The righteous (wheat) will be gathered to the barn (kingdom) while the wicked religious leaders (chaff) are going to face eternal fire.

This passage sets the table for so many things to come in the gospel. Just as the OT prophets wrote extensively about the pending judgment of Israel going into Babylonian captivity, the NT prophets, including Jesus, devote a ton to the pending judgment of Israel being destroyed and scattered over the world for the next 1,900 years.

The "end of the ages" is a term defining the end of their age. Don't confuse it with the end of the world which isn't clearly addressed.

It's amazing to see what lengths some such as soandso go to deny scripture when it does not conform to their pet theories.

Paul stated the man of sin was being "restrained" when he wrote to the Thessalonians, yet because I have not been able to identify who it was the conclusion is he wasn't living at the time.

This is like the cops saying to someone who was robbed "you can't identify the robber" so it never happened..

This kind of "argumentation" is ludicrous and only shows the desperation of the one presenting this kind of "reply".

lol, That would be counter productive seeing you are dispensational in position.

The reasoning for me asking the things I did is based on a preterist position of Revelation 13(I'm not preterist).

So if I were preterist and hold that all of Revelation is already fulfilled between ad66-70 except 20,21 and 22 then that would mean that Revelation 13(beast mark) took place before ad70(and those who were killed in the siege had the mark) at the destruction of Jerusalem(because they had the mark of the beast).

The problem is though that both scripture(Romans 13 and 1Peter 2) provide scriptural evidence that the apostles taught that the Christians were suppose to see the king over them as "ordained by God"(Romans 13:1) and that they were to pay tribute(Romans 13:6-7) and that to do so would have meant using the coins(money of Rome) to do so. So if the man of sin was enforcing the mark at that time the apostles would be telling the Christians to receive the mark which cannot be correct.

Then the historical writings in which most dispensationist refuse to acknowledge because it is not scripture(I agree so far) but when examined are actually a death knell to preterism(especially full) because in it is the recorded history of the revolt/rebellion of those in the first revolt.

So lol, if anyone considered who would have had the mark in the time frame of the first century then if the Jews who revolted in ad66-70 minted their own coins https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_...Revolt_coinage (so did not buy and sell with Rome's money) and refused to see Caesar as ordained by God(Romans 13:1) and rebelled then they did not receive the mark of the beast(if it's Rome) nor did they worship him as God.

Now so the question is not directed to you at all but rather to those who hold the position that Revelation 13 has been fulfilled. Why is that if the man of sin existed then(ad66-70) then in both cases(scriptural and historical) it is true that the Christians would have been receiving the mark(use Rome's money) and the Jews did not, so the mark would be on the wrong foreheads if this were true.

I see it as rather telling that for many many years Josephus was used as a weapon against any futurist or disp. position with the pun "let anyone read it and say these things were not all fulfilled in ad70" when in fact it proves with no shadow of a doubt that those who rebelled against Rome from ad66-70 did not fulfil the scriptures concerning the mark of the beast.

well you would have us all believe he existed back then when you cant identify him? They REVOLTED/REBELLED they did not fall down and worship Caesar nor did they use his money.

The Man of Sin was Titus who was restrained by his dad, Vespasian, until he was taken out of the way. Vespasian went back to Rome to end the "period of darkness" in Rome by assuming the throne after a period were Rome was ravaged by civil war. This allowed Titus and his four legions to come down from the north.

Paul is the one claiming he was alive and well when he wrote, you are disputing Paul not me while swimming in denial..

This is quite possible PL, but whoever he was the fact remains is that Paul spoke of him as being alive:

Adam Clarke on 2 Thess 2:5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?

    Adam Clarke on Verse 5:

I told you these things - In several parts of this description of the man of sin, the apostle alludes to a conversation which had taken place between him and the members of this Church when he was at Thessalonica; and this one circumstance will account for much of the obscurity that is in these verses. Besides, the apostle appears to speak with great caution, and does not at all wish to publish what he had communicated to them; the hints which he drops were sufficient to call the whole to their remembrance.

Sound thinking is lost on many of the naysayers on here.

Couldn't this mean Jerusalem was trodden under foot by Rome until it was destroyed? Where does it say the time of the Jews resume? They fell by the sword and were led away captive.

Isa 13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
Isa 13:7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:
Isa 13:8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
Isa 13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
Isa 13:11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

The man of sin has not been revealed, because it will be the time that God ends this sin business on earth, because people cannot go on forever sinning, and rebelling against God,so one day He has to allow the world, the people that do not love Hm,to establish a kingdom that acknowledges no personal God,and is all about the occult, for that is the way they will exalt themselves, power through nature(or so they think),and then He will put them down, and the sin business is over.

If prophesy was fulfilled in the first century,it would be over, and the saints would be in the New Jerusalem, and we would not be alive.

The first attack on Jerusalem, because they rejected Christ.

The second attack on Jerusalem, because they accepted Christ.

After the 6th trumpet the world will not repent of their sins, and turn to God,so He allows the man of sin to deceive all those who do not love Him,and when they take the mark then repentance, and salvation,is no longer available to them, then He can put them down.

Repentance, and salvation, are not avalable after they take the mark of the beast, and the Bible says that all that dwell on earth shall take the mark who does not love God,so if that were the case it would be over back then, and the offering of salvation would be done.

God says He is going to gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle, and if they say it is the then known world back then, that would mean that all the nations mentioned in Bible, would of went against Jerusalem, but not even all the nations that the Bible mentions in the Bible went against Jerusalem, but it was the Roman Empire.

All the earth will be gathered together against Jerusalem.

God will gather all nations against Jerusalem.

The Roman Empire does not lose their dominion until God puts them down, and the saints possess the kingdom, which they will split the world in to ten sections, with a leader in each section, the ten horn kingdom, and the man of sin will come from the ten horns, and they shall devour the whole earth, tread it down, and break it in pieces.

The beast has power over all nations, kindreds, and tongues.

The saints shall be hated of all nations.

The Gospel must be preached in to all the world, and a witness to all nations, then the end shall come.

It is the time for God to put down the world, and end this sin business on earth,it will involve the whole world that does not love God rebelling against Him,and persecuting the saints, and then going against Israel, for God turned them to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah.

Dan 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
Dan 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
Dan 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

When the transgressors come to the full, then the last king, the man of sin will appear claiming to be God.

Pro 30:11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
Pro 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
Pro 30:13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
Pro 30:14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

The last generaton before Jesus comes back.

The transgressors did not come to the full in the first century, far from it.

    1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
    1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1Ti 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1Ti 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

The beginning of the end. This will start it all,the new age movement with an interpretation of the Bible based on spiritual evolution through nature, and does not acknowledge Jesus as Lord, but as a good teacher in spiritual enlightenment, and an ascended master, and avatar.

Forbid to marry for population reduction on blessed mother earth, and command to abstain from meats because they are nature worshippers.

2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
    2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

The time will come when they will not want to endure the truth of the Bible, but want to hear it according to their own lusts, which the new age movement is based on fables, the imaginations of people.

The man of sin will be from the new age movement, and support it,which they are waiting for the New Age Christ.

The Bible says the saints cannot be gathered unto Christ until there is a falling away first, which is the condition of the world, that they want to hear the Bible according to the new age movement, and it will be a hate crime to try to convert someone to their religion, punishable in the international criminal court system, for all are vaild for spiritual evolution, and there there will be an interpretation of the Bible,Islam, and Judaism,to fit that format of the unified religious system, and the man of sin claims to be God by harnessing the power of nature.

Then the saints can be gathered unto Christ.

The man of sin will be of the new age movement, the occult, nature worship, witchcraft, exaltation of people, spiritual evolution through nature,no personal God,but honors the God of forces,or the power of nature as their God.

Dan 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Dan 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft(witchcraft)to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Dan 7:26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
Dan 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

In the first century the dominion was not taken away from the Roman Empire, and the saints taking the kingdom is in the future.

Dan 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
Dan 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
Dan 11:38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

The second attack on Jerusalem, because God turned Israel as a nation to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah, which is in the future.

God said He is going to gather the whole house of Israel, the whole house of Jacob, out of the nations, and leave none of them in the nations.

The man of sin will establish peace in the Middle East, and it will pave the way for all Jews to go to Israel, and the Gentiles nations will come together, and say,Peace and safety,as they try to establish peace on earth, and the Jews and Gentiles will be separated.

The Jews will split Jerusalem with the Palestinians, and the Jews will build their temple, and go back to animal sacrifices, with no hassle from the Palestinians.

Israel is blinded in part, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in,and so all Israel shall be saved.

Israel accepts the Old Testament, but not the New as far as the majority, but Israel as a nation must come to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah.

When the man of sin addresses the world, and those that do not love God follow him,and take the mark of the beast, then repentance, and salvation,is no longer available to the world, and the fulness of the Gentiles have come in.

God will send Israel 2 witnesses to turn them to the truth, which they will preach for three and one half years, and then they are resurrected to heaven,Israel is in the truth, and physical Israel is spiritual Israel, and the beast and the world attacks Israel, and Jesus comes with His saints, and so all Israel shall be saved, and puts down the world.

All prophesy did not happen in the first century.

The second attack on Jerusalem, because they accepted Christ. The Roman Empire does not lose their dominion until God puts them down, and then the saints will take over the kingdom on earth.

Now compare that to the potential fulfillment of PROPHESIED FUTURE REALITY.

THAT WOULD BE THE FULFILLMENT of the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION.

    Daniel 9:27 (HCSB)
27 He will make a firm covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and offering. And the abomination of desolation will be on a wing of the temple until the decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator.”

    Daniel 12:11 (NASB)
11 "From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.

THUS POST TRIB IS IMPOSSIBLE, because everyone will know the Day that it ends.
And JESUS said No One will know the Day of the Hour.

Fine example of twisting of scripture right there...

Matt 24:15 “Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

Matt 24:34 “Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

READ THE CONTEXT, I was taught that in Sunday School when I was a kid.

The CONTEXT IS CLEARLY talking about future events surrounding HIS SECOND COMING, therefore THIS GENERATION, is referring to the future Generation that actually SEES THOSE EVENTS HAPPENING, NOT THE PEOPLE HE IS TALKING TO, LIKE YOU FOOLISHLY WANT TO BELIEVE.
