people need to learn how to not be so harsh to others in the bible study room.

You need to report them by name, and they will send in a mod. I'm sorry you were treated this way, but this is the internet. Just because poeple say they are Christians, doesn't mean they are.

As mentioned not everyone that names the name Christian is one, here or out there. You can tell who are the regenerate and the un-regenarate or very immature by the way they talk to people they disagree with. They always have opinions with no Scripture or if they do have Scripture it's out of context. They will exalt themselves over God, in their salvation.

yeah people with huge egos and no practice in holding one's tongue,it's good to speak up for the lord but when you speak to hear yourself talk then there is a problem especially when this is not some book we are speaking of it is God's word the bible and should not be so quickly spoken of unless you "know"what you are talking about,there shall always be people like that for so many seek to make themselves out as something when they have done nothing
We can't control the behavior of others but with the grace of God and action on our part we can control how we personally treat others. Sorry for the bad experience in that room. I rarely frequent the chat rooms as I prefer more personal in-depth interaction with the forum peeps. If people don't respect themselves it is no wonder that they won't respect others. What you can do is pray for these types of people and allow God to work through you to make a positive difference in their lives, even if only for that day or moment. Glad to have you join us. Some people test fruits in a way that seems strange, but there are a lot of hurting people in the world, that have been deceived, lied to, manipulated, and so on, buy people they had put their trust in. Not saying this is the case, since in short time in bible discussion, seen peoples words get twisted into something that wasn't being said. But maybe you might need a break from rooms. The forums can be a battle ground but sometimes its better to stand alone in here, than be ganged up on in chat room.
I prefer the forums because more people in the forums are prepared to respond with considered thoughts and scripture to a post when they think the poster is misguided.. But on chat more often you try to respond to help others you will get over emotional people just try to undermine your efforts and denigrate you as some hate monger because you are giving the other person the truth when it seems that a lot of Christians in the forum want nothing but affirmation and support for their false beliefs..
Last time i was on that forum i was trying to stand up against the false teachings of catholicism but i was attacked for for not being nice.. There are too many snowflakes in chat.. Who just want to hear everyone supporting everyone else in their beliefs.. I have not been in chat for a week or so because it is hard when you are talking truth and your just getting called a hater.. I am sure that if a satanist went on there wanting to know about Christianity and you came out against the worship of satan there would be "" christians ?"" in there seeking to shut you up and telling the satanist that it's all cool and devil worshipers believe in God too... It is sickening really..

Chat's might be rough on this site, but I can guarantee this forum, (and News Forum, albeit it hasn't been about news for a year now), is the fire! This is where people learn to be "harsh." This is where people sharpen their harsh sword.
And to be clear, I agree with you that attitudes need to change, but that doesn't change attitudes.
