can anyone grasp what the cherub angels look like from the Word? im left typically with cartoonish images that have almost definitely been altered by man made images....

When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.

And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

very interesting and confusing to me

I am afraid there is no way of knowing what they look like. So it will always be some kind of artistic imagination.

My personal guess is that such beings have many shapes/forms and can change it.

Good thread title, btw :)

No. I don't believe that they can "change"

notice thst they do not turn

chreubs are angels land all angels are ed by GOD. They look to HIM but they do not move in any direction other than following the HEAD who directs them and they do not "turn" as they go

this depiction is no different than Ezekiel's account of the "wheels"

I found this video helpful...

In addition, I believe the Four Living Creatures in Ezekiel represent the Four Forces of Nature...

...with Ezekiel's Wheels representing the Atom...

When One adds up all of the evidence, One gets an overall picture of the Standard Model of Particle Physics...

Rather, let's ask the poster why this is important?

the only reason It would be important would be for us to understand (just as Paul stated) that any angel who comes bringing something outside GOD's TESTIMONY is not of GOD

angels do not contradict and do not go above THE HEAD
They also holdvto THE TESTIMONY of GOD

It's very easy and comfortable to ask questions when the season is peaceful

look at Isaiah 8 and remember GOD does NOT change

Were the ones who do

ma'am im new to fellowship and new to repentance, normally i would've been offended by your approach but yes i am just now starting to share my faith or questions.... took me about two years to understand the majority of Gods words but im still left with things that arent explained (adimittedly not very important) i came here for fellowship since most people i used to spend time with openly love sin and the others mostly feel works mean nothing and faith alone is all.... as if a new heart isnt formed

Do you share your faith in JESUS with others?
The OP is asking about a fantastical creature described in scripture. I kinda feel like you are trying to interrogate him. Maybe I'm wrong, but he does seem more interested in what the cherubim described several times in the bible are, rather than being bombarded with unrelated questions. Not trying to be rude, so I hope you don't take this the wrong way.

Don't be offended by me. I was once where you were and I preferred being at the beginning in the milk

It would be of help, if you would post the verse, or verses you are asking about. I am guessing, from what you are describing is that or those which Ezekiel was striving to describe. Actually, 'ol Ezekiel was trying to do the best he could with what he had, as far as his depicting (how can I say it) "technologies" to which he absolutely had no clue. so, he could only relate it to that which he did know.

One could liken it, I suppose, to an aircraft carrier with support vessels. As far as "formation" goes.
