Does the Christian who tithes live in the open windows of heaven of blessings poured out, that there shall not be room enough to receive it? Does the tithe include the rebuke of the devourer?

I don't know what you mean, but God always blesses you when you give from your heart, regardless the amount

Does God open the floodgate of heaven with blessings for the Christian that tithes with love for Jesus or does God open the floodgate of heaven for the Christian that gives with love for Jesus? If God opens the floodgate of heaven for the Christian that gives with love for Jesus please post the scripture(s).

Lol...

OP is referring to a very fascinating verse.

I too have questions...

Malachi 3:10
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it"

God is literally telling us "I DARE YOU!!!".

What other verse does God do this?

I hear that when One follows the directions in the verse, it works every time.

I've never tried it though.

Anyhow...

To answer OP's question, I'm not sure if the devourer gets rebuked?

God loves a cheerful giver.
Is there anything greater to receive from God than his love?

We were lost! We were dead in sin! No way to be in God's presence. And the verdict was in -- our sentence was separation from God, death, and hell. Our rightful punishment for what we've done.

Floodgate? Jesus denied himself all that it is to be God by coming down in human form, living a life of poverty in an age before indoor plumbing, electricity, and the ability to control temperatures inside to comfortable levels. He lived in a time when his people had become unwilling slaves to a mighty empire. He grew up in that. And then he taught all about God, until he was beaten, whipped, taunted, and nailed to wood all out of scorn for who he is. He died that way. They even stabbed him after he was dead to make sure he was dead! And he did that to make a way to redeem those his Father gives him, so we can be in God's presence, live, and be with him forever, despite deserving the verdict already received.

Floodgates? Can it be more opened than that? If you're tithing to get something out of God, you're really missing the whole concept of tithing!

Is this your justification for not tithing?

Ugh. We are to give as unto the Lord not to please men. The Lord rewardeth those who give from the heart. Do not give with the expectation of receiving from the Lord.

Mark 12:41 ¶ And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

For the cause of Christ

Is this your deal? To judge others on if they tithe?

None of your business what I do, but don't you dare teach tithing is "God owes me" when God already gave all he has -- himself!

I do tithe. And I use the Old Testament as my model (HORRORS!!) That means I give at least 10% to the church and that comes right off the top of any paycheck I get. I don't give myself a chance to figure it out and decide I don't have enough this week, because I have faith that God will provide, even when it looks dismal written out on paper.

As for being so blessed you cannot hold it all, if that's the reason you're tithing, you've got the wrong reasoning and you're not going to see the kind of blessings God was talking about. The widow in Luke 21 is an example of Christ commending someone who tithed, and she was dirt poor. Doesn't sound like she had abundant earthly blessings poured out on her, does it? But that's the point. God doesn't always promise EARTHLY blessings. But we have the hope of heaven that goes beyond this world. An eternity with our Saviour :)

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 Corinthians 13:5 NIV

What test is used in the bible to see if you are in faith?
Answer...Luke 16:9-13 Christians are tested with the least in the Kingdom of God which is money.

Considering what Jesus has said here (Luke 16:9-13 NKJV), I think it would be difficult to overstate the significance of this down to earth, practical teaching, that applies to everyone. If a person cannot be trusted with money, and in any capacity, Jesus plainly says, he cannot be trusted with Salvation, i.e., "true riches." In view of the seriousness of what is being said, we would do well to heed carefully.

In these passages (Luke 16:9-13), Jesus is saying that irrespective of how loudly and how often we profess our Godliness, if it does not show up in our practical, every day living, and especially in the matters of money, and our responsibility toward others, our profession is vain. This statement is plain and clear, if we are unfaithful in these things. "Who will commit to our trust the true riches?"

True riches in Luke 16 means spiritual matters.

It takes faith to tithe (gross). Every time you get paid are you going to believe that God’s Word works...that 90 percent with God’s blessing goes further than 100 percent without?

Many Christians want to be blessed in this area, but don't want to be address in this area!
