I am planning to do a study on the 10 commandments in the next couple of weeks. Let me know if anyone is interested. If not I will not bother.

Yes, this is a good thing to study. I had been thinking about this recently as well.

I once studied the 10 Commandments from the perspective of moving past "Thou shalt not!!!", and on into the understanding that, "Thou won't because Thou no longer has to."

Is it open beyond a dispensationalism view?

Yes, I have seen that, too. It was beautifully endearing.
The world as we know it is so tainted by sin in its fallen state, we would not recognize it if sin were suddenly taken away. I look forward to such a world :D

What I will be doing is presenting some pragmatic generalizations from each of the commandments.
I see. I may join and learned something.

LOL. The main focus will be on the last six that reflect man's relationship to man.
Is that fair ??? since when is man more important than God ???

That is nice, but what is there to study, for they seem to be self explanatory, and need not investigation in to them.

And if you mean do they apply today, they would, for the two greatest commandments, love God,and love people,is what we follow in the New Testament, and the ten commandments are love towards God,and people.

Paul also said we do not void out the law through faith, but we establish the law,and the law is spiritual, holy, just, and good, the spiritual laws, laws of love, and moral laws.

Jesus took the physical ordinances out of the way,but He did not take the ten commandments away, and when the rich man asked Jesus what must he do to receive eternal life,Jesus said to obey the 6 commandments that had to do with love people, and the rich man said I do that, and He said you lack, sell all you have and give to the poor, which is love people.

So what would there be to study.

The pertinent things involved in loving others, the things we would be in the midst of preforming from our hearts as if they were our own nature and not as if they were an law...
