Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lords day and heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet. It's the Lords day. Or the day of the Lord. This 1,000 years will be a time of teaching.
Jesus telling John to write down the things he sees. Anyhow what about the Church. I'm sure most have at one time or another been in a Church. My question is have you ever thought about what that Church teaches. Or are you like most of mainstream. It's like man and his favorite automobile. Most follow there parents in both cases. Well my daddy drove a Chevrolet there the best for the money. You here this type of thing all the time. Just because your daddy drove a Chevrolet doesn't make it any better. The same goes for the Church. Chances are if you attend a Church it's as the same denomination
as that your parents attended.
What I'm getting at here is why do men follow suite so much. Why not start from scratch do some research on your own. Liberal Conservative make up your own mind.
So what does that Church teach. Or are they like many today who read one verse from the Bible and talk about it for an hour and compare it to aunt Betty last week.
I would like for whom ever to tell me what the Churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia were teaching that pleased Jesus. If you Church doesn't teach these things I say your in a Church of false Teaching.
So please what does your Church teach.

Does anyone here attend a Church. Or is it that those attending don't know what the Church is teaching. Jesus starts right out of the box wanting John to let the seven Churches know if he is pleased with them or not. I would think most have read chapters 2 and 3 of Revelation.
Who is this synagogue of Satan ? John 8 beginning with verse 31 Jesus speaks to both Jews and those who clam to be Jews. Ending with verse 47 it's easy to understand who he is talking to. The descendants of Cain. And if you have a clear understanding of who Cain's father is you get the truth of it. I'm just interested in how many Churches teach this. Or what do they teach if anything.

I dont :) There are too many errors and worldly life style in churches.

I also do not want to be isolated in one specific teaching, I like freedom to biblically judge all teaching of all churches and if something is right in the Orthodox church, I want to take it, if something is right in the Lutheran church, I want take it etc.

To be a member of one small local church would make this quite hard and I would be still an "outsider" with "strange views".

I have been attending an oldschool baptist church.

We are oldschool fundamental redblooded meat eating hairylegged baptists.

Im not sure I understand your question but my parents (none of them) were baptists, or even christians for that matter. So im definately not "following" my parents blindly. (By the grace of God both of them have come to the Lord NOW)

People are proud of not being a part of Christ's bride. They're also not afraid to speak ill of her, and well of self at the same time, as if above all others.

Reformed Baptist here. Not following in the footsteps of parents faith, although that is not all bad considering this: I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. -- 1 Timothy 1:5

If you follow Christ, you are a part of His bride.

And His bride is not composed of all local churches, but of all individuals who truly follow Him and are from various churches or without any church. These people create the church.

No, sorry, you're incorrect and on an unsustainable path. Church isn't Burger King. Church is the local assemblies, and you're not part of it. But you can get the last word in here.

Are you seriously going to disagree that all who truly follow Christ are His bride?????
Or was it just the local church part. wew

Even though I attend a local fundie baptist church i'd still agree that there are people OUTSIDE of the baptist church who are truly saved. Yes?

I go to church every week if I can but that doesn't make me saved.
But after over 32 years and being ill, I really don't want to go to church any more.
It does nothing for me and I can't doing anything for it that I can't do at home.
Would that make me unsaved if I stopped going.
I can keep with an assembly of born again believers over my iphone these days.

One who rebels against the Church isn't truly following Christ.

Get your breath maybe?

This is about those who hold animosity, ridicule and disdain toward the church who claim to "follow" Christ. They're usually the most spiritual bunch too.

Yeah I agree with you then. Just wanted to clarify your position. I agree 100% usually the people who critisize every church for every little thing are the ones who have the most whacky doctrines of all

No, local assembly is local assembly. Church is church.

Your view is the view of the roman catholic church. They claim the visible church is the bride of Christ.

We, protestants, hold the invisible Church to be the true one.

I don't see anyone's confirming the Church teaching as Smyrna and Philadelphia. To put it in plane words if they don't your in the wrong Church. Sorry but that's not from me it's from Jesus himself. So I say wake-up read the word with understanding and be blessed.

You probably need to be more concise in your statements. What is this teaching that you're getting at? Yes, I've read those portions. What are you getting at, the so-called perseverance of the Saints? If not, then what is the point you are trying to get across?
