I don't hurt nobody.

Didn't many saints drink themselves? Maybe they did that just as a coping mechanism to function in this twisted world.

Im not saying that drinking is cool...no...unless you a saint...aahhhaahhhaaa

I believe that loving the Lord with all our hearts, minds, and souls, and loving our neighbors as ourselves, are the most important things. Is that what you are saying?

The phrase "these men are not drunk as you suppose" signifies no drunkenness at all.

Just because they "supposed" the others were drunk doesn't mean they even looked like it.

When something happens that you can't explain, you explain it in a way that you can understand, whether in the end that explanation is true or not.

There's no such thing as being "drunk in the Spirit".

The Holy Spirit moves upon us with purpose..... not to make us look stupid or drunk.

I know, you will say, "but I saw it, I experienced it". You're right that you experienced something, but it wasn't the Holy Spirit.

I've seen it too in many services, but it's not of God.

I'm a 35 year Pentecostal minister, & I can tell you..... most people who experience these things never go any further in their maturity or calling of God. If it were of the Spirit, there would be better manifestations than these, for God is much bigger than that.:)

Ephesians 5:17-19New International Version (NIV)

17*Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. 18*Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19*speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,

Being filled on wine will obviously look different than being filled with the Spirit.

Being filled with Spirit will make your heart rejoice in psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord.

I totally agree. But it won't make you look or act drunk. True Pentecostalism gets a black eye every time such stuff is said.

"Drunk in the Spirit?" Sounds rather blasphemous to me.

Its just a matter of if your a Christian that unbelievers are afraid to be around. If your super religious or super picky on small stuff. Being a follower of God is upmost important. But trying to witness to unbelievers we must set the line but not be so picky on the small stuff. People will notice especially unbelievers. I see this as the definition drunk-overcome with (a strong emotion).
"the crowd was high on euphoria and drunk with patriotism"

I would say being filled with the Spirit can cause great emotions.

do y'all feel satisfied or thirsty?

i know songs that refrain, "
i thirst no more in you"
& i know others that seem contrary: "
we are thirsty for more"

which of these is correct theology?
which of these reflects your actual life?
which ones should we be singing?
are both worship?

Im never satisfied. Im always longing to grow closer to God. In fact i feel addicted. But i also have times when my spiritual highs get low and depressing but then i am drawn back to God who gives my life the fix it needs. Cant get enough of God but my flesh tries to take the wheel steering me away from God. The flesh will make you thirst again. But living in God and you will never thirst again.
