theres a difference in those who love the LORD and desire in their heart to please HIM who are all that they do for HIM as not good enough Satan would like for you to believe that you are not "good enough to please THE LORD" But THE LORD sees and knows

Be thankful that your conscience is not seared and you have no concern or care for the things of GOD and pleasing HIM

What appalls you by your intrusive thoughts, are the things that some will not even consider appalling

Read 1 John 2 and 2 John 1 and take from it this

Remember what you began in (that CHRIST died for you so that what was dead might be made alive to GOD...((((IN)))) HIM

And don't "go out" from HIM

in the end the two (1 John 2 and 2 John 1) will be made manifest by what they do

Be still and know that HE is GOD
Not by power, or by might sayeth THE LORD

But by HIS SPIRIT

Philippians 4

think on those things and never cease from praying and do not "go out" from HIS SPIRIT

Those who "go out" will show by what they do that it is not by HIS SPIRIT that they do the things that should not be done, but their own spirit

Remember, though we are saved by our faith in HIM, our minds are exposed to evil

we are supposed to renew our minds by the washing of THE WORD

You know THE LORD
You know the works which are of wrought in GOD from the works which are not of GOD...the works of darkness and the kingdom of darkness

Satan will be at work attacking the minds of many
Dont go out from THE TRUTH
Renain in HIM

Hi jsb7: You are not alone, every Christian that ever lived had to contend with the same kind of things, including the apostle Paul who wrote much of the NT. There is a little trick that helps, our mind can really only concentrate on one main thought at a time, so as much as possible keep the mind on God and on good things. We have a flesh nature that tends to sin, if we feed it then it grows stronger, if we starve it then it becomes weaker. Also, don't be discouraged because you are under attack by Satan, you must be doing something right or else Satan would leave you alone.

I want to understand how to look at the heavenly things. how do you think positive thoughts when evil thoughts try to change it oh man its tormenting i just want pure thoughts why evil come at me. I rebuke it and it leaves but comes back harder. I dont want evil to confuse me. Please help me.
I know it is of little comfort, But, it was Jesus said that "It's not what goes in, is what comes out..." of a person, I reckon. It's "like", onced you have accepted Jesus Christ as yer, and have been baptized, it's like after awhile, (I know I'm using "like" a lot) the "angels of the Harvester", start a "vetting process", to liken it to "threshing", in terms that were used in the Bible. What is not gone into in depth, at least where Jesus' parable of the "Lord of the Harvest", yet, are gone into more fully, in other "similiar" renderings, although, nothing that specifically mentions the Lord of the Harvest, More like "Gods' pruning of our "spiritual bush", yet referred to more like a "wheat field", and the "clearing out of weeds" called tares, in the Bible. WHEN (not if) the angels come across a "tare infested" wheat stalk. It is here, when, and where the Lord of the Harvest, instructs His angels, to "dig it ALL up! weed/s and wheat BOTH! There are just some instances where the tare/s are intertwined SO much, that only "I" can go in there, and perform THIS type of surgery!"

Hope this helps!

Do not worry about the thoughts. Everyone has a bad thought pop into their heads. Practice accepting the thoughts and ignoring them. Say to yourself something like that was a worthless thought and just go about your day. It does not help to ask God to forgive you for a thought. It is not a sin to have a thought pop into your mind such as I hate that person. Where it would be a sin is where you grab a hold of that thought and say something to Yea I really hate this person. He did such and such to me. I wish he was dead. Even having a bad thought against God pop into your mind is not a sin. If people are constantly cursing God in front of you for instance it may happen that what the people were saying about God pops into your mind. If you fear these thoughts or try hard to get rid of them, they will keep on popping up.

I am getting upset because i dont understand my mom was protected of this and I was not I begged God help me not be afraid to read those verses on the unpardonable sin and i dealt with hell and i know some got scared but didnt go through this torment why am i dealing with this i came to Jesus the truth and the light not deal with bad thoughts against Him thats not fairrrrrrrrrrrrr :(((( I dont want to hear what that stupud unpardoable sin is i just want this stupid fear to go away. :(((
I'll be 92 this May, I was 22 when I was where you are now. My fear wasn't of the unpardonable sin, my fear was because I imaginined the devel causing bad things to happen to me, but it was complicated by my little girl responding to my fear with severe frightening asthma attacks. I HAD to change.

I decided it was my thoughts that was causing my fear so I MUST handle my thoughts. The best, the most true thoughts were in scripture. I couldn't think my fear based thoughts and scripture thoughts at the same time, so I simply memorized scripture.

If a movie camera followed me it would have been hilarious. Vaccuming with a bible in one hand, washing dishes with one propped up on a shelf, or making beds with the bible on the nightstand. I wasn't very grown in the Lord at that time, so it was as if God was filling my mind with milk. Through this I learned to take control of my thoughts. I was given the ability to direct them to the truth of the Lord.

In the 70 years since then there was much living done, hurtful things and joyful things. I remember one time I was piloting a boat with the crew all asleep when a storm was coming that changed the direction of the wind. It made for a "wild sea", very dangerous and frightening. Sometimes life is like that. Even in a wild sea of life, God is a strength and protedction. Death is the worst that can happen and even then God gives us joy and life so we need not fear even death.

spend 30 minutes in the gospel each day, before and after pray to God for wisdom. He is always right there when we are struggling the desire you have now is because you are prepared inwardly to start resisting the enemy trying to Keep you down. when you spend time in the word, after it becomes a part of your daily life, and is done prayerfully asking of the Lord for understanding, ask Him to fill your mind with good things from Him, soon it becomes part of your mind.

that word of Jesus is Living and active, ( hebrews 4:12) when it gets into your mind it fights for you against the contrary forces in Our bodies. it is what seperates those things from our minds. it will work friend Gods Word is true and will never fail to come to pass and words go into YOU, Keep them in there by commiting to His word daily, always asking Him to give understanding and ask Him to make that seed of His word Grow. and be aware that the enemy is trying to pluck them out of your heart However He can. see the parable of the sower explaination Luke 8:11-15.

Accept and ignore these bad thoughts; they can do you no harm. If you try to fight off the thoughts or try not to think them, that will make the bad thoughts worse. Everyone has bad thoughts that pop into their minds without their consent. It is normal. It is no sin to have a bad thought come into your mind without you wanting it to. It is a good thing to think on good things, but don't try to fight off a bad thought with a good thought. Just let the bad thoughts leave on their own without you trying so desperately to rid yourself of them. Trust me, it does not work. Just try to let the thoughts be there without you trying to get rid of them. Go about your day and when a bad thought comes just say wow what a worthless thought or there's that thought again and keep on doing whatever you were doing as if the thought was never there. If you are asking God to forgive you for thoughts that pop into your mind then stop! God knows your heart. He knows it is not your fault you are having these thoughts. He knows they are not from your heart and you don't want the thoughts. Just relish in the fact that God loves you and accepts you just as you are.
