Good. I do not want you on mine either. Hypocrites make horrible friends.

I see you did not state what YOUR CHURCH does concerning these things...........hmm..........

Funny thing it IS in the Bible, so it seems you have problems.

Do they?

Which is it. Women being pastors or women having authority over men? A real difference

nothing worse than chattering women?

But not chatter to each other and continually asking questions so as to disrupt the service?

Chattering and questioning, oh my!

Well they didn't each have Bibles in those days (too expensive), but they are to teach other women and children (Titus 2.4; 1 Timothy 2:9).

A good principle.

well my wife didn't :) maybe I chose wisely :)

They don't (or shouldn't) chatter. Nothing about whether they should read the Bible. YOU MADE THAT UP.

A good principle.

Amen

They may not be in a position to do so, But some certainly do enforce these directives.

I don't actually hold that view but believe me I wouldn't want you on my friends list.

[/COLOR]Just a few things you've overlooked. "Adam was not deceived, but the woman was' (1 Tim 2.13-14). 'The head of the woman is the man' (1 Cor 11.3). These are factors which we have no right to, overlook :) Or had Paul no right to push then on the church?

the proof is in the pudding, as they say.

NOTICE THAT: Not ONE of the hypocrite naysayers ADDRESSED what THEIR CHURCH does regarding the instructions about women, and how they are to act/dress. NOT ONE!

Also notice that they continue to prove their Carnal state regarding Christianity because NOT ONE of them understands that the argument IS NOT about someone being man or woman, BUT being Ordained and Inspired by God to Preach, Teach, Pastor His Flock!

The can not justify their hypocrisy, so they DEFLECT by trying to muddy the waters with their inane comments. Read through them and see............either they say there is "a difference" or they demean me..........that's ok........being demeaned by hypocrites and naysayers is a badge of Honor I will wear proudly.

On the Day of Atonement, these hypocrites are gonna be in for a RUDE AWAKENING!

Gonna start this Thread because I do not want to derail the other one currently going on. If you believe women are not allowed to be Pastors, and don't want your feelings hurt, STOP reading now!

I am fed up with the Hypocrites who PUSH this ideology on the Church. They get all puffed up and self righteous and come up with.........."well, that's what the Bible says!" Women are not to have authority over men! It's right there in the Bible!

Yup............and ain't it funny that they STOP obeying what the Bible says about women RIGHT THERE! As for what else the Bible says about women, they make all sorts of excuses as to why they do not teach, enforce those commands either. Seems their Legalistic Ideology begins and ends with women being Pastors.

So, what else does the Bible say?

1 Corinthians 14:34) Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

These puffed up hypocrites don't seem to understand this Scripture do they? Their women be speaking all the time in the Church. They talk and pray, and sing all the time.

1 Corinthians 14:35)
And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

These puffed up hypocrites don't seem to understand this Scripture either. Their women actually own Bibles, and read their Bibles and some of them teach Sunday School! The Scripture is crystal clear! If the women want to learn ANYTHING, they are to ASK THEIR HUSBANDS AT HOME! Not read the Bible for themselves, much less OWN ONE! And they ARE NOT to teach are they.

1 Timothy 2:9)
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

These puffed up hypocrites don't seem to understand this Scripture either! Their women cut their hair, dye their hair all different colors, false eyelashes 'n' such, paint up their faces and lips, put on all sorts of jewelry, wear all sorts of fancy and tight fitting cloths.

Now, I know there is a small movement that keep a little tighter grip on their women. The women don't cut their hair.....wear it all up in a bun, wear long, ugly dresses, no make up or jewelry, but even these women speak and sing in Church, and own Bibles, AND READ THEM! So, they don't get a pass either.

The only people women are allowed to teach are their daughters!

Titus 2:3)
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 .) That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 .) To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

The end result is that ANY of these puffed up hypocrites who rail against women Pastors and DO NOT enforce these other directives concerning women......................

ARE HYPOCRITES!

SIDE BAR:

If you believe that women are not allowed to be Preachers, Pastors, please check your "Friends" list. If I am on it, please REMOVE me. I am completely fed up with this hypocritical ideology pushed on women and the Church!

1. Here to hurt feelings?
If a thread is titled "Don't read this if you don't want your feelings hurt"...
you are admitting you created a thread to hurt people's feelings.

It's a very strange thing to create a thread with the intention of hurting people's feelings.

2. Not even a modicum of politeness toward a different view?
You screamed the word "hypocrite" 7 times at people just for disagreeing with you... on a doctrine which, historically, your position has never been well received until very recently... and even now is hotly debated by perfectly respectable people.

Maybe, at the very least, you might consider a bit of politeness toward opposing views.

3. Personally, it's none of my business if the preachers at your church are men, women, or space aliens...
but it really seems like we all need to stop drinking coffee a lot earlier in the day.

I go by all scriptures about women- most of which you don't seem to have a proper understanding of, in context. There are no male or female in Christ. Therefore we are all priests- all of us are to share the gospel with others, all are to sing praises to God as one church united, all are to "study to show thyself approved unto God", etc.

But we do still live in a physical world, therefore, things that are not gender neutral- such as hair length, are more specific according to male or female. Women are not to teach over the men of the congregation during the worship assembly. But before worship they may teach children or adult women who are spiritually younger.

You are right in saying that all New Testament scripture needs to be obeyed, and many Christian women are not doing so- but they don't speak for all of us- cause I am one who does. I do not wear braids or costly things like gold to worship.

I wonder about you though, cause of your anger display.

I don't know that I am a "hypocrite naysayer", but I responded with how our church is structured... but somehow it didn't get posted... might have been on the other thread, as I was responding to the "men don't attend church" claim.

Our church is made up of about 50-50 men/women. I see about as many "single" guys as I do gals.

Many of the church employees are women.. mostly in clerical or office management. We have some men employees, such as building maintenance, grounds, etc.

We have women on committees, including budget, missions, elder selection, benevolence, etc.

Our children's minister is a woman. We have young women serving as interns in our teen ministry. Most of the children's classes are taught by women.

On the occasions when we have group prayers, women participate in that as well.

We have at least one small group that is led by a woman..

Our email prayer chain is "run" by a woman.

We do not have any women as elders, nor do we have a woman as a pulpit minister.

Women are not told to "shut up" in our church... they are highly valued as members of the body, but they do not lead in the whole assembly.

Your right, it didn't get posted............but you ARE NOT one of the hypocrites..........although, because of how your Church treats women, you ARE one of us heretics who believe women are as valuable in the work of the Kingdom as men. :)

Welcome to heresy!

Do you own or read a Bible?
Do you attend Congregational Worship?
If so, do you ever speak a word in Church?
Do you have male children?
If so, have you ever taught them anything about the Bible, Christ, God?
You say you don't wear braids or costly things to Worship, do you EVER wear them? What about make up, eye stuff, lipstick, or dye your hair with coloring? Do you wear nondescript, ankle long dresses all the time?

Be sure you are actually following ALL of the Scriptures concerning women.

As for my "anger," there is Biblical foundation for righteous indignation. Jesus Himself reacted with anger and VIOLENCE against hypocrites!

I have perfect understanding of the Scriptures I quoted. They are crystal clear in their wording! Which is why the hypocrites will not recognize them in this discussion, because they do not even enforce these Scriptures on their own wives and daughters. And your statement about being neither male or female......which comes from Galatians......is exactly what I referenced in the OP........so, thanks, because that shows that God does NOT recognize sex when He determines who He will Ordain to Preach/Teach His Word.

I'm thinking you did not understand the OP, given your comments........

You mean like all the loving kindness these hypocrites show towards the Ladies here who have dedicated their lives to serving God in the service He called them to?

Christ Himself did not hesitate to "hurt the feelings" of the hypocrites He had to deal with on a daily basis, so.........I'm not real concerned about it either.

As for considering politeness towards differing views..............I have done that for over three years now here, and all I get is the same old garbage these hypocrites always dole out to folks who accept that different folks will have different views. Their name calling and condemnation is the norm for them. About time they got their "feelings hurt."

Let them ANSWER the OP.

Here.............lemme shout it like Jesus did.........

Ladies, don't worry. The truth of their hypocrisy reveals itself when one ONLY LOOKS at their OWN wives and daughters.

If you believe you are called to serve God, DO SO. And do so in whatever capacity He has called you to serve Him in.

And DO NOT concern yourself with hypocrites!

God bless and keep you and yours..........and your Ministries

Instead of condemning those who disagree with you why not just come clean and give up your vested interest in this issue?

Demonstrate the values in yourself that you seem to believe are missing in others. What is the hidden agenda?

I was thinking of the women are stronger then men comment. I came from a kind of farm family in Kansas and after my sister left home for California and came back, she was different. Standing in the kitchen she proudly announced that women are stronger then men, being a young man at the time and much stronger then her, I was a little taken back, so I said, I can press 185 pounds over my head, can you do that? If you cannot do that then you are not stronger then me. The idea that woman are stronger then men was something that begin around that time and went on for some years and has pretty well faded away(reality set in). If women are stronger then men then the apostle Peter told a lie because he said the woman was the weaker vessel. After having said all that, I must admit that at times I have been amazed at how strong a woman can be if she needs to be.

Ya,be careful with that argument. I had a friend that was a Christian but met a woman who convinced her she might be a lesbian. And honestly it was hard to tell. She looked like a man and was built like a man. My father is about 6ft and she was taller than he is,my father is a broad shouldered, thick guy,we call him Sampson because hes like a Clydesdale, a lot of power but she could match him. She was built like a bull and looked like and was able to work like any man.

who believe women are as valuable in the work of the Kingdom as men
Nobody is saying women are not as valued by the Lord as men are... the Lord just has not ordained women to be leaders in the church.

The 'neither male or female' things is speaking to the fact that the Lord values all that are born again as He has paid the price for all of our salvation.

As for my "anger," there is Biblical foundation for righteous indignation. Jesus Himself reacted with anger and VIOLENCE against hypocrites!
Yeah, go beat up some men and see how far that takes you... right down to the jailhouse for assualt!

So, you are saying just because some don't adhere to what scripture says... God has changed???
That's a farce!... and totally laughable!

If you believe you are called to serve God, DO SO. And do so in whatever capacity He has called you to serve Him in.
Yes, and if you decide to be a pastor (not being led to do so by the True Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ)... don't get upset when some men who understand scripture decline to be a part of your fellowship.

They would be in the right, and you would be in the wrong trying to be in authority over men in violation of God's Word.

What is the hidden agenda?
Liberal women's lib... this person sounds like they have been listening to liberal talking points on CNN or other liberal news outlet.
