In a different thread someone brought up the subject of hell and it reminded me that more and more people claiming to be bible believing Christians are starting to believe there either is no hell or "annialationalism" where a person may spend some time in hell but after a while God snuffs them out so they are dead like a dog meaning they have no further consciousness.

After this post, I'll post a bunch of verses I have saved on my computer that ware saved over the years when this tiopic came up and I saved verses related to the subject of hell.

But first... I found one a while back that appears to say that after the new Heaven and new Earth have been established, those that are 'saved' and living with the Lord in eternity will be able to see those that have gone to hell and it will serve as a reminder... apparently because man has free will and if lucifer could rebel against God without having a tempter then man can to and the Lord wants there to be a memorial for everyone to see what happens to those that oppose God:

Isaiah 66:22-24

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Freaky deaky, ain't it???

Just in case anybody needs record of what God's Word says about hell... Jesus spoke of hell as being a real place, so having this list may help when talking to someone who has been deceived in to believing it's not real and alot of that deception has been going round lately and will probably grow..

Tortured in hell forever

"And if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the eternal fire," (Matt. 18:8)

"And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life" (Matt. 25:46). In this verse, the same word "eternal" is used to describe the punishment of the wicked as well as the eternal life of the believer. The punishment is endless as is the eternal life of the believer.

"And these will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power," (2 Thess. 1:9).

"Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example, in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire" (Jude 7).

These men are those who are hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, casting up their own shame like foam; wandering stars, for whom the black darkness has been reserved forever," (Jude12-13).

Matt. 3:12 says, "And His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." (See also Luke 3:17)

The following citations are from Greek dictionaries and Lexicons. They show that the word "unquenchable," which is asbestos in the Greek, (which occurs only in Matt. 3:12, Luke 3:17, and Mark 9:43) means unquenchable, without end.

"unquenchable, inextinguishable"
"not quenched"
"pertaining to a fire that cannot be put out" - "unquenchable."
"unquenched, unquenchable"
"that cannot be put out"
"inextinguishable"

Daniel 12:2
Many of those whose bodies lie dead and buried will rise up. some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt

And of course there's the Rich Man and Lazarus – Luke 16:19-31... Jesus said this was the account of a “certain” rich man, and a “certain” poor man so this is a real account where Jesus says the rich man is in hell, and he is tormented.

Matthew 5:22
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Matthew 23:33
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Matthew 25:41
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

This is pretty well the smoking gun right here... if God is going to put those in hell asleep and they cease to exist, then why is Jesus saying they will experience the same everlasting fire satan and his devils will experience? Certainly, satan and his devils aren't going to be put to sleep and Jesus is saying those that are going there with him will be in "everlasting fire" meaning they gonna be burning forever and ever.

Mark 9:43
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched

Mark 9:45
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched

Revelation 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Also, the Bible warns of the eternity and permanency of hell!

everlasting fire ’ Matthew18:8, 25:41
everlasting punishment ’ Matthew 25:46
everlasting chains ’ Jude 1:6
eternal damnation ’ Mark 3:29
eternal judgment ’ Hebrews 6:2
eternal fire ’ Jude 1:7
unquenchable fire ’ Matthew 3:12
the fire that never shall be quenched ’ Mark 9:43, 44, 45, 46, 48
fire unquenchable ’ Luke 3:17
mist of darkness is reserved for ever ’ 2 Peter 2:17
the blackness of darkness for ever ’ Jude 1:13

The lake of fire is said to be the second death in two verses. Rev 21:14, 21:8. But the lake of fire is not synonymous with death. Three beings are thrown into the lake of fire but they do not die, they are tormented day and night for ever and ever. At least one of those beings is a person, the false prophet.

Rev 20:10
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Rev 20:15 and 21:8 show that many people will be thrown into the lake of fire. But Rev never says that anyone dies (cease to exist as some try to teach) in the lake of fire and it says nothing about changing man's sinful nature.

Rev 20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Rev 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

May as well include Bible references to 'ol slewsfoot while we're at it... lots of folks ask questions about nutjob so this list of verses should help answer questions:

satan - info about 'ol slewfoot

1. The names of satan:

1. He is called “satan” and the “devil”, which are used interchangeably in the N.T. These names mean adversary, or accuser. He is the adversary of God, and the children of God, and the work of God in the world. He is the adversary of everything that is called good, and holy, and righteous. He is the accuser of the brethren we learn in Revelation 12:10, who accuses us before our God both day and night.

2. He is called "the dragon" and "the old serpent" (Revelation 12:9, 20:2). As a dragon he is a destructive enemy of mankind and of God. “The old serpent” eludes to the serpent in the garden of Eden, which of course was satan. This speaks of satan as the deceiver. satan and His ministers are transformed into angels of light, to deceive the world, and if possible, the saints of God. he is also known by the slang term “ol slewfoot”.

3. He is called "the prince of this world" (John 12:31, 14:30). This speaks of his authority and power as the prince over the world system. Although God is in control overall, satan rules the un-godly worldly systems that govern the earth within the constraints of God's perfect will and purpose for His creation. When God's people pray and come into unity according to scripture, God can and does intervene in the affairs of mankind.

4. He is called "the prince of the power of the air" (Ephesians 2:2). This speaks of his realm of operations and his domain, which is the unseen evil spirit world. We don’t see satan and the demon spirits in the world, but they are at large, and they are working havoc in the world, and among God’s people, and the Lord’s Churches. Peter said that our adversary the devil is like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour; yet we don’t see him crouching behind the bush, stalking out his prey to devour them.

5. He is called "the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience" (Eph. 2:2). This speaks of his power to possess, and control, and manipulate the lost in the world. Oh beloved, the devil controls all the lost in the world. They are led captive at his will. He commands them, and manipulates their every move. Don’t talk to me about free-will, when the Bible teaches that mankind is under the control of the devil, to do his bidding. Except the Lord Jesus Christ breaks our bands, and sets our souls and spirits free, we would die in our sins in the bondage of satan's clutches.

6. He is called "the god of this world" (2 Corinthians 4:4). This speaks of satan's status as a god among the wicked of the world, who idolize and worship satan, who is their prince and lord. satan’s chief desire and goal in this world is to be worshipped. He even wanted Jesus to bow down and worship him! (Matthew 4). This is what even God’s people do, when we follow after satan’s ways and devices, and when we submit to him, and serve him.

7. He is called "abaddon" (he is a bad den) and "apollyon" (Revelation 9:11). These names mean destruction and destroyer, respectively. No, satan is not the author of any thing that is good, but he is the destroyer! He is the destroyer of the souls of men. He is the destroyer of the lives of God’s people when we give place to the devil. He is a destroyer of the godly home. He is the destroyer of godly society and good government.

8. He is called “lucifer,” which means a bright star, and “son of the morning.” These names, although speaking literally of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, elude to satan as the bright and morning star before his fall into pride, and arrogance, and sin; as we will see later. We want to note here that satan was ascribed the name that only Jesus was worthy of, that is “the bright and morning star”.

2. Who and what is satan:

1. He is a fallen angel (2 Corinthians 11:14).

2. He was a great angel; was very intelligent, and was very powerful before he fell from Heaven.

3. As a fallen angel, he is the ruler of all the demon spirits, which are also fallen angels (Matthew 25:41).

3. The nature of satan:

1. He is a created being; not eternal. He did not always exist, but he was created by God.

2. He is an incorporeal being; that is, he is a spirit. He doesn’t have a body of his own.

3. He transforms himself into an angel of light; thus he may possess a corporal body such as a human being. He entered and possessed Judas Iscariot. The Bible says that satan entered into Judas. He will possess the “man of sin” during the Great Tribulation period.

4. satan is limited by God to the carnal things of this world and cannot move in the spiritual power (anointing of God) he moved in before he fell from Heaven.

5. satan is not omni-present, but he can only be in one place at a time. He roams to and fro in the earth, and goes about seeking whom he may devour- thus he is not every at the same time.

6. He is not a little red beast-like man with horns and a pitchfork! As we will see in a moment, satan was once a great and beautiful angel, who presided over the worship of God in Heaven.

7. He is the enemy of God, and of all that is good, and the enemy of the souls of all men. He desires that all souls of men be damned to the lake of fire, where He knows he will also spend eternity.

4. The fall of satan:

First we want to observe satan before his fall (Ezekiel 28:12-15):

Though this passage is speaking literally of the king of Tyre, it is believed to be typical of satan and his glory before his fall. Notice some of his qualities:

He was full of wisdom- Some would like to fancy that they can outwit the devil on their own without the leading of the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ! But never be so foolish. His wisdom and intelligence is far superior to that of any natural man’s. No man is any match for satan until he becomes born again by calling upon the Name of Jesus Christ and becomes full of the Holy Spirit being led by the Spirit in Truth (God's Word).

He was perfect in beauty- We see satan portrayed as a vile little red man with a pitchfork in his hand. In reality, satan was very beautiful creature to look upon, at least before his fall.

He was adorned with all manner of precious stones and gold in verse 13- We also notice in verse 13 that he was a created being.

He was the anointed cherub that covereth- This speaks of his special place in the worship of God.

He was created perfect in verse 15- Until iniquity was found in him.

The fall of satan Ezekiel 28:16-18:

Again, this is literally speaking of the king of Tyre, but is alluding to satan.

The reason for satan’s fall is found in verse 17…PRIDE!

(Notice Isaiah 14:12-17)

Conclusion:

Beloved, satan is the adversary and accuser, he is the deceiver, he is the prince of this world, he is the prince of the power of the air, he is the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience, he is the god of this world, he is abaddon and apollyon, the destroyer. satan truly is the arch enemy of God and His people.

Are you still under the power of satan?

Are you in bondage to satan?

If you are not a believer in Jesus, then you are in bondage to satan.

Would you like to be free from satan?

Part 2

5. The Work of satan:

1. satan’s work in the World:

1. Originated sin in the universe (seen by the previous texts in Ezek. and Isa.)

2. Introduced sin into the human family - Gen. 3:1-16.

3. Possess and Controls the World:

The kingdoms of this world - Matthew 4:8-9; John 12:31.

All of the lost (2 Corinthians 4:3-4); including the elect before we were saved - Eph. 2:1-3.

2. satan’s work among Humanity:

1. Accuses God's People Rev. 12:9,10 - devil means accuser or slanderer!

2. Tests God's people - Luke 22:31-32. (see Mark 4:14-20)

3. Hinders God's people - 1Thes. 2:18.

4. Resists God's people - Zech. 3:1.

5. Buffets God's people - 2 Cor. 12:7.

6. Persecutes God's people - Rev. 2:10.

7. Ensnares God's people into error - 2 Tim. 2:24-26.

8. Tempts God's people to do evil-

He tempted David to number the children of Israel - 1 Cron. 21:1.

He tempted Ananias & Sapphira to lie to the Holy Spirit - Acts 5:3.

part 2...

9. Causes sickness:

The woman with the infirmity - Luke 13:14-16.

10. Control's and blinds the lost-

The lost are children of the devil, and follow after his ways - John 8:43-44.

He worked in Judas to betray Christ - John 13:2.

He blinds the minds of those who believe not - 2 Cor. 4:3-4.

11. Has the power of death over the lost - Heb. 2:4.

3. satan’s work against the work of God in the world:

1. He tries to steal the Word of God out of the hearts of the lost - Matt. 13:18-19, Mark 4:14-20.

2. He sows tares among the wheat - Matt. 13:37-39.

3. He is transformed into an angel of light - 2 Cor. 11:12-15.

4. He imitates the Lord's churches - Rev. 3:9.

5. He empowers the Anti-Christ - 2 Thes. 2:3-10.

6. He persecutes the Lord's churches - Rev. 2:10, 3:9.

6. The Destiny of satan:

1. He will be cast in the bottomless pit (after the 7 year tribulation) - Rev. 20:1-3.

2. He will be loosed temporarily to deceive the nations (after the 1,000 year reign of Christ) - Rev. 20:7.

3. He will be cast into the lake of fire; the place of his eternal doom - Rev. 20:10.

7. The Christian's Defense against satan:

James 4:7-8

Submit to God; that is to His will. Don’t run from it as Jonah did.

Be content with God’s provisions. This is difficult in our materialistic society.

Be content with the place God has put us.

Resist the devil. Resist means to set one's self against, to withstand, and oppose.

Draw nigh to God with our hearts and affections. Return to our first love, and to all the holy activities that accompany the sweet fellowship with Christ including reading and studying the Word, prayer, church services, etc.

Remember, satan can’t trouble the saint of God who is near to the Lord. (those that walk in the Spirit having submitted their entire lives unto the Lordship if Jesus Christ)

1 Peter 5:

Verse 6 - Walk humbly with the Lord.

Verse 7 - Cast our cares upon Him.

Verse 8 - Be sober, that is serious and cautious. Live lives that are becoming of Christians. Be vigilant. That is be awake, be watchful, be alert, and be on guard.

Verse 9 - Whom resist; don't yield to temptation and sin. Steadfast in the faith, or the doctrines and principles of the faith found in the Word of God. Also, in the graces that accompany faith including the Spirit of God, the love of God, by faith in God.

Matt. 4:1-11 - We must answer satan's attacks with the Word of God. To do this we must have a knowledge of the Word

Eph. 6:11-13 - Put on the whole armor of God…

Loins girt about with truth - Particularly the gospel, and the system of faith once delivered unto the saints.

The breastplate of righteousness - The righteousness of Christ. Hold it near and dear in the forefront of our hearts, to protect us against the accusations of Satan. Also, the personal righteousness of good works and godly living, which is above the reproach and accusation of the devil.

Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace - Standing on the strong foundation of the gospel.

The shield of faith - Either the grace of faith, by such Jesus said we might move mountains, and the saints of old did mighty feats in the work of the Lord; or the object of faith- the Lord Himself, Who is our shield, as we are told over and over again in the Psalms. It is by this shield that we will quench all the fire darts of satan.

The helmet of salvation - That is the confidence and assurance of our salvation! satan wants us to doubt our salvation; God wants us to have full assurance of faith!

The sword of the Spirit - The knowledge of the gospel, and of the Word of God in a very practical since. This is our only offensive in our spiritual warfare against satan and his evil cohorts.

1 Corinthians 7:1-5:

In conjugal relationships

Verses 1-2 - Marry to avoid fornication (notice vs. 8-9).

Verse 3 - Husband and wife are to manifest a mutual love for one another.

Verse 4 - The husband and wife do not have authority over there own body, but the husband the wife's, and the wife the husband’s (I didn't say it; God did).

Verse 5 - The wedding bed. Defraud means to deprive, and here of course referring to the physical relationship. Such depriving may lead to sexual immorality. Incontinency means lack of self control or intemperance, which is likely to be the result of defrauding one another.

Can a husband or wife be partly to blame for their spouse falling into immorality? According to Paul, they are if they defraud their mate. The exception clause in this passage we notice is by consent; that is both parties agree for religious purposes, and that only for a short season.

Conclusion:

satan is a great adversary. His existence and work in this world are no laughing matter, but should be taken seriously by the children of God.

satan’s work against the people of God is to accuse, test, hinder, resist, buffet (beat you up), persecute, ensnare, tempt, and even cause sickness.

satan's work in the world includes controlling and blinding the lost from seeing the light of the gospel of Christ; and snatching the Gospel message out of the hearts of the lost; he sows tares among the wheat; he is transformed into an angel of light, imitating the Lord's churches, and persecuting the Lord's churches.

We don't need to fear satan, but rather we are to take proper precautions. Perhaps you are in bondage to satan and blinded by him, but Christ has set you free by faith in the gospel and has saved your soul! If so, praise the Lord! We give you this opportunity to come before this church confessing Christ as your Savior, and we will rejoice with you.

Might be... lots of folks claiming to be Christians are coming out in favor of either hell not being real or annialationalism so it's surprising none of them are lurking around here.

It's funny to see people accept teaching that God's Word specifically teaches against.

But, we are in the end times and all bets are off as they say.

Let me ask you this: Do the people who are in the resurrection of the unjust gain eternal life?
Or is that only for the saved?

This was based on the valley of Hinnom outside Jerusalem and the idea is that transgressors will be cast there, and those going up to Jerusalem for the three feasts would see their dead bodies as a reminder. The maggot that does not die and the fire that is not quenched is evidence that they are TRULY dead. It is those which last for ever,

Interesting... I figured a few people would be jumping on this one claiming there is no such thing as hell or claiming annialationalism
Good post Rockrz! I have posted this information many times myself. Apparently Magenta has not responded yet, because she is an annihilationist, regardless of all the scriptures that proclaim eternal torment beginning in Sheol/Hades and then afterwards the lake of fire.

..... its about loving your neighbor anyway
And it's about loving the Lord before your neighbor, yourself, your family, kids, etc.

Loving God comes first!

If all one is doing is neighbor, then they won't be spending eternity with the Lord.

The world loves their neighbor so there's no salvation in that alone...

Do the people who are in the resurrection of the unjust gain eternal life?
Yes, ALL people have eternal life because God created man in His image (He never dies and in cease to exist, so niehter does man)

The Word of God is quite clear on this along with many other subjects so those that are truely intelligent have enough common sense to know and understand that God is right. Period.

Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire
And people going there shall be consciously tormented for ever and ever in that eternal fire.

Magenta has not responded yet, because she is an annihilationist, regardless of all the scriptures that proclaim eternal torment beginning in Sheol/Hades and then afterwards the lake of fire.
I just cannot imagine reading something in God's Word and telling the Lord He is a liar.

Understanding of that escapes me which is a good thing otherwise I probably wouldn't be born again.

I got great respect for you so I would like for you to break it down for me, I posted earlier in this thread: "Do the unsaved who are resurrected also gain eternal life?"
Since, wouldnt they need one to suffer forever? Isnt eternal life only for the saved?

OR does it just signify quality of existance, eternal death (or second death) meaning bad existance and eternal life signifies good existance?

My main issue with the traditional view is that I feel a lot people are not given a fair chance, if you're born in America your chances of coming to Jesus is much higher than lets say Saudi Arabia. Im not trying to impose my view of fairness on God obviously and tell Him whats right and whats not, just typing my thoughts out.

Eternal life for the saved... eternal death for the damned.

God says in His Word that man is without excuse and God says of Himself that He is just.

So, it's not possible for someone to be cast in to hell without having had opportunity to accept Jesus and get in on God's plan of salvation.

Once should rest knowing God cannot lie and He is just.

One thing you might want to know.......all the "limits" that we have in this world are gone.

In this world, suffering is limited by the flesh and conditions.

The flesh suffers and dies. It is limited pain.

The soul in the flesh suffers the hurt and losses (death) in this world.

But once the soul is separated from the flesh, breaks out of this shell into the spirit world,

All the "fleshly" limits are gone.

The extent of the suffering cannot be measured in "human" words.

Let's just say, that it is shown as a lake of fire.

A lake of fire for the souls thrown into it. Heb 12:29

-----

I would just say, that there are things about our God, that are not shown to us now, not revealed yet.

Things that if we should know them, we would die, His face for instance.

But when things are revealed for what they really are,

We shall be on our knees, speechless, without words, we are nothing, a mist, Jesus is everything.

Few are conscious of the true implications of their deeds done in the flesh.

It is the responsibility, of Christians to warn them, in love. Ezek 3:17-21

Do the unsaved who are resurrected also gain eternal life?"
Good day Issachar92,

I got great respect for you
Thank you for saying so. I also have great respect for you as one who is in Christ.

My question in answer to your question is, how can those who die "unsaved" be saved?

When a person dies without Christ, their record is sealed. There is no opportunity for salvation once a person has died without believing in Christ (see the rich man in Luke 16:19-31). All sin must be accounted for. For all believers in Christ, Jesus was held accountable for their sins. For those who die without Christ, they will be held accountable for their own sins, as Jesus said "every idle word that men shall speak they shall give an account thereof on the day of judgment." If a person had even one sin not covered, it would separate them from God. So, yes, eternal life is for saved in Christ only.

Regarding the unsaved, when they die their spirit/soul goes down into Sheol/Hades. When they are resurrected out of Sheol/Hades at the end of the millennial period, they will stand before God at the great white throne and be judged and everyone's name not found written in the book of life will be thrown into the lake of fire. Consequently, those coming out of Sheol/Hades, their names will not be found in the book of life.

==========================================

"Then I saw a great white throne and the One who sat on it. The earth and the heavens fled from His presence, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne.
And there were open books, and one of them was the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead, and each one was judged according to his deeds.

Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death—the lake of fire. And if anyone was found whose name was not written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (Rev.20:11-15)

=========================================

OR does it just signify quality of existence, eternal death (or second death) meaning bad existence and eternal life signifies good existence?
Everyone who is born into the world, from that point forward exists forever.

Life and death are both states of conscious existence. Eternal Life is conscious existence in the presence of God and his kingdom. Eternal punishment is conscious existence in separation from God and all His goodness and in torment in the lake of fire.

My main issue with the traditional view is that I feel a lot people are not given a fair chance, if you're born in America your chances of coming to Jesus is much higher than lets say Saudi Arabia. I'm not trying to impose my view of fairness on God obviously and tell Him what's right and what's not, just typing my thoughts out."

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." (Matt.24:14)

"Then I saw another angel flying overhead, with the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation and tribe and tongue and people. He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. Worship the One who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and the springs of waters.”

Everyone on the planet will hear the good news of salvation prior to God's wrath and during God's wrath. God's judgment will be done in righteousness and justice. The problem with those who will have died rejecting Christ, is that they will be guilty of sin. For God's word says, "there is none righteous, no, not one. All have sinned and fall short of God's righteous standards."

For the believer, through faith in Christ, we meet God's righteous standards because Jesus met God's righteous standards being in the flesh, which is imputed to all believers. For those who die rejecting Christ, they remain in their unrighteous state and will have to stand before God and be held accountable for every sin.

I hope that this answers your questions.

I agree with you, hell is a real place, and it's eternal, the scripture is clear about that.

Universalism and annihilationism are deceptions that should be preached against.

I know hell is a real place not just because the scriptures speak of it but I have been there i have personally seen the lake of fire and personally experienced the absolute heat and unquenching thirst. Hell lies in the spiritual realm and people who don't believe it to be real or think that God will after a time of being there make you just disappear or go to heaven tend to think this mainly because they don't want eternal punishment to be true.

Believe me when I went there I saw the souls being tormented by the fires and the pain however there was one man I saw there who I had compassion on, he had accepted his fate and knew he deserved his fate. This was the one person that i truly was sorrowful for and even to this day I ask God to have mercy on this man and if he cannot go home I ask God to at least lessen his suffering.
Believe me I wish I was wrong about eternal suffering I would give anything for it not to be true but just because it fills me with deep sadness and heartache I cannot simply push it aside as false. People think I am insane when i say that I would burn in the very fires of hell itself so that even the most evil and most corrupted people could be saved and they think I am just speaking out of a feeling or emotion when I say how far I am willing to go for the sake of only one such person but if people saw what I did they would understand why I will go that far.

Hell is no joke and when you debate about hell many people are doing so without actual experience of hell which I am really thankful for but when I debate and discuss it because of what I saw and because of the experience my heart is filled with sorrow and mourning but I still do so because the truth is to be taught and discussed and people cannot simply discard the truth because it disagrees with their view and understanding
