Again...do we all agree that Jesus poured His blood on the mercy seat before Father in heaven?

Thanks for answering sevenseas... and getting the point of the question. There's a bit more.

With all due respect, your question has nothing to do with the subject of the OP. Since it is very important for you, in that you continue to ask it, why not start a thread on the subject yourself?

Here is a short video showing Bill Johnson talking about trusting God. You judge for yourself about the spirit behind this man.

[video=youtube;JMSKzVXXZcs]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMSKzVXXZcs[/video]

Here are some of his quotes:

1. “Jesus was the desire of the nations. His body – us – should be the desire of the nations because He’s irresistible.”

2. “In the Old Testament, anything unclean has power over what is clean. A leper yelling ‘Unclean!’ doesn’t reveal God’s heart but the severity of sin. In the New Testament it’s the other way around. A believing spouse sanctifies the entire house, mercy triumphs over judgment, and loves covers a multitude of sins.”

3. “Jesus released peace to the storm. How do we know He had peace? He was sleeping. You have authority over any storm you can sleep in.”

4. “Automatically thinking ‘everything that happens is God’s will’ is a lazy way to live. We live in a war. Jesus wasn’t fighting the Father’s will when He raised the dead.”

5. “If God didn’t cause Katrina, who did? My response is, ‘Well, who did He leave in charge? To whom did He give all authority?’ I refuse to blame God. How many life-threatening storms did Jesus bless? I will not stand as an accuser before God holding up the sins of a city against them. I want no likeness to the accuser of the brethren.”

6. “I am often asked, ‘Where is that in the Bible?’ Psalm 115. ‘God does what He pleases.’ The Bible reveals His nature but does not contain Him or set boundaries for Him.”

7. “It’s a great time to be alive. It’s probably a great time to be dead too – I don’t know.”

8. “Don’t be impressed by darkness. Jesus didn’t do the opposite of whatever the devil did. He did what He saw the Father doing… The moment I have a lesser sense of Him and a greater sense of the problem, I will live in reaction to the problem.”

9. “You cannot hold God hostage (to your questions). He doesn’t owe you an answer. If you want the peace that passes understanding, you’re going to have to give up your right to understanding. It’s called trust.”

10. “Learn to value the Spirit in every believer. Children don’t get a junior Holy Ghost.”

11. “The church is often known for what we hate. We hate you. Come to Jesus. You can be like us. It’s ridiculous.”

12. “We have witches comes to our meetings. It’s quite entertaining. Everybody’s welcome. Not everybody gets to preach.”
Some of these quotes are totally out to lunch, but some are true..For instance

8 “Don’t be impressed by darkness. Jesus didn’t do the opposite of whatever the devil did. He did what He saw the Father doing… The moment I have a lesser sense of Him and a greater sense of the problem, I will live in reaction to the problem.”

These three are true.

This thread isn't about Lordship Salvation. Have respect for others.

you know, I'm not real big on discussing anything with you because of your uproariously self congratulatory and smug attitude

however, you have put more threads off track in the amount of time you have occupied a space here, then just about anyone else

the blood of Christ is appropriate for this discussion and settle down cause it will be most certainly brought up later if I ever get to posting MacArthur's unbiblical doctrine about it

a major problem people are having with you is your attitude

being puffed up is not considered a mark of the fruit of the Holy Spirit in one's life

I have 0 hope of any sort of response that would lead to further exchange with you as I don't trade in insults which seems to be the drive by posting style you have assumed

you have less than 0 respect for anyone who even tries to get any sort of reasonable response from you that differs with your opinions

Bill Johnson has a great sense of humor. I would think those that you disapprove of were "jesting". You have to know the man.

I agree...this is wrong. But faith in His Word is never wrong.
God promises health / healing in His Word (Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:4-5, Proverbs 4:20-23, Exodus 15:26, Exodus 23:24-26), He promised to supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19)

And, God said if we delight ourselves IN HIM, He shall give us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:4) which is the same as what Jesus said in John 15:7 when He said "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you"

See, the key here is that God's Word must abide in us... we must put His Will first... religious people deny the Lord's Word here, and it's really sad for them.

So, praying for these things is not praying in your own name because these are promises from God's Word.

It's sad to see so many following doctrines of devils which teach people to be religious minded and reject God's promises which is refusing to put God and His Word FIRST in one's life.

It's all part of the great falling away...

Can these things be taken to extreme like the TV preachers do??? Of course, that's in the ditch on one side... then we have religious people in the ditch on the other side claiming God's Word contains lies which is having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.

The road is narrow... and obviously few be that find it.

But hey, if you believe God wants you to be poor and sick... you should be getting there soon if you aren't already cause satan enjoys putting this stuff on people. Agree with satan all ya want... it has no effect on me!

Romans 3:3,4
For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
God forbid
: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Todd Bentley is an odd character.

If you go back to his early ministry he was an over weight preacher who was not
having much impact.

Roll forward, he looks like a converted biker with a history.
But this is all an invented impression, his tatoos are at the command of angels.

This pop christian culture is where there is big money and encourages people to
create more and more exotic versions of the faith which have no impact but create
a concert adulation. If you imagine the temptation of success, like Kenneth Copland
who claims to be a billionaire, this is big business.

Do you pray for them then? It would be a whole lot better to do this than publicly condemn. Especially if you don't follow them and things get taken out of context of their whole teachings.

from Rick Joyner's site:

My heart has always been for Todd the person, not the ministry. He’s a friend. Ministry is supposed to come out of who we are, not what we can do through our spiritual gifts. In the time that has passed since the initial breakup, I have never met with Todd wanting to get him back in the pulpit. I’ve only met with him and prayed for him to see him healthy, knowing the rest will take care of itself.[/QUOTEB

these are actually the words of Bill Johnson with whom I am not familiar but I grieve over his conclusions concerning Bentley

If he believes that ministry is supposed to come out of who we are, then what are we to think about Bentley?

how about all the people hurt, deceived and now dealing with a demonic presence in their life that are the 'works' of Bentley they absorbed at his 'revival' of the ancient art of demon conjuring they attended in Lakeland?

Do these people actually think God cares more about one Todd Bentley then the thousands of people being deceived?

it blows the mind!

It is never about the money or riches itself. It's all a matter of where is your trust? In things or in God? Poor people can be just as covetous as rich people. Poor people can be just as trusting in "things" as rich people can.

It is never about the money or the things themselves. It is all about the trust and where do we find life from.

God richly gives us all things to enjoy but it has to be put in it's proper place.

1 Timothy 6:17-18 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.

[SUP]18 [/SUP] Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share,
1 timothy 6:17-19 "Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life."

this should be preached wherever "health and wealth is preached" the more we are given the greater responsability we have to use it for the will of God. some have alot of money, some dont have enough. God works through the rich, to supply the poor.

Johnson also states this in the same letter to the faithful:

Some have called for extreme punishment. It’s been said, “We must make an example out of Todd.” But if we’re honest, punishment isn’t really for the person who sinned. It is really to make the punisher feel better about the situation for which they have no control. As those who work with broken people we have responsibility for Todd and his family but also for the impact on the body of Christ. Whatever we do, it must be redemptive in nature for all of the above.
okay

so God gets a kick in dealing with sinful children? oh I know I know. that's not how he meant it. oh but that is what he said, right?

impact? what the hey! the guy he punched in the stomach to 'cure' his cancer DIED.

we are TOLD how to deal with someone like Bentley but these 'don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings or loose my popularity' types just do it their own way and keep reaping the whirlwind

Bentley should have been kicked out (he's Canadian by the way, not American) until God dealt with him

instead they coddle him and the hell with everyone he hurt. that is evil.

And again from Mr Johnson:

In conclusion, I recommend Todd to you, believing that you will be blessed and encouraged by his ministry. But perhaps even more important is the fact that Todd will be a reminder to us that it is possible to stand after such a great fall. We all live by grace, and only by grace. We desperately need examples of those who have walked in integrity all of their lives. But when there is sin, we need examples of restoration to bring hope to the broken people, many of whom are in our congregations. God will use Todd to be a message of restoration.
I can't even.

they don't know the difference between a demon, an angel of God, the devil or the Holy Spirit

I know DETAILS of what went on in the show in Lakeland and how conveniently these are left out now.

Yes, I pray as the Lord leads... which is not frequent because some of these guys are not coming back from deception and the devil is using them to mislead the sheep.... just like religious people in the dict on the other side teach cessationism which is just as bad.

In the scriptures we do see the Apostles publicly calling out people for wrong doing, to warn the brethren so it's not wrong to do that.

No, I don't follow them but I have investigated some of these TV preachers to compare what they say with scripture.

Todd Bentley is having a "Miracle healing festival" in Pakistan and raising "seed money".

I don't know the state of anyone's soul. If they will eventually repent of the false Word of Faith doctrine they are teaching.

Jesus rejected people who made religion a commodity item to be sold. Paul warned of people who taught false doctrines and called them clouds without rain, dry wells.

Word of Faith is a false doctrine that promises material gain for seed money. It lies about what the Bible says and promises and has created a false god they worship who is more of a genie than Our Heavenly Father.

We can pray that God will convict all false teachers and bring them to repentance, but we should not defend false teachers.

We can exhort our brothers and sisters to speak with love and stand against false doctrines and not make personal attacks. However, we should not attack them for making their stand known.

We can have hope for the people believing and teaching theses lies, but there is NO HOPE for false doctrines. THEY SHOULD be exposed and revealed to be demonic lies.

God promises spiritual wealth in the form of fruit of the Spirit and godly wisdom. He does NOT promise material wealth or earthly health. HE promises eternal life with Him in New Resurrected bodies. He DOES NOT promise no suffering or troubles on this earth. In fact he told His disciples they would be BEATEN and IMPRISONED.

Jesus says this world is NOT OUR HOME. We,are strangers making our way back to Him. We are His ambassadors and it offends me to see people misuse God's name and fake His power for their own monetary gain.
really great stuff there
