A true ambassador of Christ must trust God with all his heart and might. You can not act like Christ when you are not ready

The pure in heart "see" God...for when we "see" Him...we will be like Him.

Do we study to know how to act? Or to know Him?

~2Pe 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the "full knowledge" of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence.
Well certainly we need to know Him before we act, but why the (either or) suggestion? After knowing Him He speaks to us, and He will ask us to do His will. There is more to that verse....which is a beautiful portion, in and of itself, as well. Its very preemptive to the next section: "....so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desire." (2 Peter 1:4).

To know Him is to participate in the divine nature, so both are prudent in the correct order. Or as Ephesians puts it:We need to first Sit; (Our position in Christ), then Walk; (Our life in the World), and then Stand; (Our attitude to the enemy).

The end was reference to him yes. But He wrote in reference to Ephesians it's all in Ephesians, it was just a good synopsis of it..

We are ambassadors for Christ, but the children are growing up with less morality as time goes on,and morals getting looser and looser, and arrogance getting higher and higher, which causes Christianity to get more hypocritical and hypocritical, and people of the world less responsive and less responsive, and how do people think the beast kingdom is going to come about, and the youth is our future, and people get worse and worse, for that is the direction they are going, and there is no reversal for it is too late.

You want to play around America and have a counterculture movement based on selfishness, and rebellion against all authority, saying peace and love, when there is no peace and love, but for their own kind,as everyone does that, even the Nazis, even the satanists, then you will have to pay the price.

Pro 30:11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
Pro 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
Pro 30:13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
Pro 30:14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
Pro 30:15 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give.

The last generation before Jesus comes back.

2Co 6:3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed.

Giving no offense in anything, which is a good reason right there not to be hypocritical, for the world is watching, but too many people that claim Christ want to enjoy the world, and things in the world, and money, and material things, and fleshy pleasures, worldly entertainment, that the ministry is blamed big time.

It is strange that the people who claim Christ will view themselves as not hypocritical, for how can they be if sin does not affect their relationship with God,when even the world knows they are hypocritical, because even if the world does not believe the Bible, they still know how Jesus acted while on earth according to the Bible, and they wonder why do not His people act that way.

I do not know if this is a true quote from Gandi, but it is reported that he said,he likes Christ, but he does not like the Christians, for they are so unlike Christ, but that could be something he never said, seeing people like to make things up to support their view.

Another thing too is the people that claim the Bible, and bicker, and fight, and argue, back and forth, while the world is viewing them, and do they think that is a positive example for the world, which the world will laugh, and say, they want us to accept what they are saying as truth, but they cannot even agree with each other what is truth, and they say love people, and they do not appear to even love each other.

Give offence in nothing, and that should be enough for us to want to act right.

So would sin not affect our relationship with God,if our sin gives offence to cause the world to view the Christians as hypocrites.

How can it be sin does not affect our relationship with God if it gives offence to the religion of Christianity. That is a contradiction, for God will surely require us to not sin if it is giving offence to the ministry.

Anything that is an offence to the ministry God would say stop doing it,for it means that people are not wanting to hear of what the Christians say because of their lifestyle, both physical, and verbal.

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

If the kingdom of God is within them, then why the hypocrisy, for they should without a doubt act like Christ, for Jesus said concerning God,they will be done on earth,as it is in heaven, and the angels that sinned are not there, and the ones that did not,do not do it,for in heaven it is God's way,or the highway, and it is supposed to be the same on earth, and if the kingdom of God is within the saints, then they would act the same as if they were in heaven, which there is no sin tolerated there.

Committing sin does effect our relationship with the Lord... that's why He put 1 John 1:9 in His Word so we could confess our sins and be cleansed afresh cause we sowed to the flesh and reaped corruption (Gal 6:7,8)

God forbids sinful activity...

Romans 6:1,2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

So would you say getting ready is submitting your will to God's Holy Spirit?

Anyone care to answer the question personally? How you fare as being an ambassador for God?

Have you ever considered that we are all ambassadors for God? That is those of us claiming to be Christians. Not only are we ambassadors but we are the children of God which means each one of us are royalty and children of the God of the universe.

When I consider this sometimes I'm ashamed as I don't feel that I represent Him very well but I want to do so much better than I do. I was very upset with myself during this past election for our President of the United States as it was a hard, mean battle between the political parties and between some of us Christians right here on this site.

Yes, I was ashamed of myself because I did loose it on a thread showing just how human I really am and how much I need God to continue to be the kind of ambassador that would represent my Father In Heaven the way I should.

Please post here your thoughts on being an ambassador for God and a child of God and how He helps you daily in your walk with Him. Bible verses are welcome as are your posts.

I have posted the definition below as well as some Bible verses.

2 Corinthians 5:19that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God.

1John 3:1Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.

In our humanity...we fall short. That's why we are given the "helper". We let Him lead.

God calls the base, foolish things of the world to confound the wise....he takes the useless and makes them usable.....the power is in the message and not the messenger........

For me personally, when I mess up,it is a dagger. A HS dagger. Right in my gut.

Got to get it straight. Funny thing is,at the bible study I attend, the same thing comes up,over and over. Their resolve to not take Jesus seriously. It sickens me. I may quit it altogether.

They have recently given me the floor, and I take the opportunity to bring in truth, and the HS has met me to inspire them without breaking their little spirits.

I can go a million miles on those moments.

I've recently been looking at the other Nee...whose first name has escaped me at the moment. "sigh" getting older does suck at times.
