We are ambassadors for Christ,but the children are growing up with less morality as time goes on,and morals getting looser and looser,and arrogance getting higher and higher,which causes Christianity to get more hypocritical and hypocritical,and people of the world less responsive and less responsive,and how do people think the beast kingdom is going to come about,and the youth is our future,and people get worse and worse,for that is the direction they are going,and there is no reversal for it is too late.

You want to play around America and have a counterculture movement based on selfishness,and rebellion against all authority,saying peace and love,when there is no peace and love,but for their own kind,as everyone does that,even the Nazis,even the satanists,then you will have to pay the price.

Pro 30:11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
Pro 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
Pro 30:13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
Pro 30:14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
Pro 30:15 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give.

The last generation before Jesus comes back.

2Co 6:3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed.

Giving no offense in anything,which is a good reason right there not to be hypocritical,for the world is watching,but too many people that claim Christ want to enjoy the world,and things in the world,and money,and material things,and fleshy pleasures,worldly entertainment,that the ministry is blamed big time.

It is strange that the people who claim Christ will view themselves as not hypocritical,for how can they be if sin does not affect their relationship with God,when even the world knows they are hypocritical,because even if the world does not believe the Bible,they still know how Jesus acted while on earth according to the Bible,and they wonder why do not His people act that way.

I do not know if this is a true quote from Gandi,but it is reported that he said,he likes Christ,but he does not like the Christians,for they are so unlike Christ,but that could be something he never said,seeing people like to make things up to support their view.

Another thing too is the people that claim the Bible,and bicker,and fight,and argue,back and forth,while the world is viewing them,and do they think that is a positive example for the world,which the world will laugh,and say,they want us to accept what they are saying as truth,but they cannot even agree with each other what is truth,and they say love people,and they do not appear to even love each other.

Give offence in nothing,and that should be enough for us to want to act right.

So would sin not affect our relationship with God,if our sin gives offence to cause the world to view the Christians as hypocrites.

How can it be sin does not affect our relationship with God if it gives offence to the religion of Christianity.That is a contradiction,for God will surely require us to not sin if it is giving offence to the ministry.

Anything that is an offence to the ministry God would say stop doing it,for it means that people are not wanting to hear of what the Christians say because of their lifestyle,both physical,and verbal.

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

If the kingdom of God is within them,then why the hypocrisy,for they should without a doubt act like Christ,for Jesus said concerning God,they will be done on earth,as it is in heaven,and the angels that sinned are not there,and the ones that did not,do not do it,for in heaven it is God's way,or the highway,and it is supposed to be the same on earth,and if the kingdom of God is within the saints,then they would act the same as if they were in heaven,which there is no sin tolerated there.
So what are you doing in your life to counter act what you have written above and are you making a difference as an ambassador for God? Just asking you as I am asking myself.

Nice job.

You are a good ambassador. Trust me lol
Thanks for the rep and the compliment but not fishing for them. Really trying to get folks to take inventory on their example and ambassadorship for God. What we can do and how we can improve.

I just talked to my niece, Julie today and said I never understood why it was that my Aunt's family never really visited my brother's family when they lived in the same town that it seemed like the only time they got together was when I was in town visiting. They were both in Indiana and at the time I was in Kentucky.

She replied to me that my aunt would call my brother and preach to him and he didn't like it. But my aunt wouldn't stop because she thought she had to save him and he didn't feel like he needed to be saved.

The thing is aren't we suppose to love people and lead by example? Besides we don't save people Jesus does the saving. I wish I was an adult back when all this was going on because I would have gotten into this exchange between them. God loves each one of us enough to let us make our own decisions as to whether we follow Him or not. It is each individuals choice. I just think it is better to live life as God instructed us and love them not beat them over the head with the Bible just because they might not be living their life the way you or I think they should be as it is God's job to convict and convince of sin and their need of Him.

In other words live like the ambassador God wants you to be and love those around you. Let them see Jesus in your life and then they want that too. The more we reflect God's image the more someone will want it or the more they will run from it, but live your life as Jesus would live and treat people.

I was sad that my brother felt that my aunt was too preachy as I know and loved her too but realize her method not really the best. My brother was 16 years older than I was so I was a kid still when he had already married and started a family. My niece Julie is only three years younger than I am so we grew up more like cousins... My brother and aunt are both dead now and we can't talk things out, but the good news is in living my life my brothers wife asked me a couple of years ago if I thought my belief in God had helped me turn out to be the loving, happy person I am today even though both my parents died by the time I was 12 and I had had a rough time in life? I said yes very much so God has helped lots.

That's what I'm talking about in this thread.... Are you an ambassador representing God in a good light so people will be drawn to Him and ask questions about Him?

such a good Post, JL,

it's truly an heartbreaking reality when we come to realize that no matter what we do,
or what we say, or how we live for Christ, many times it doesn't mean a hill of beans to anyone
other than our Saviour...

I think if your gonna be an ambassador for God, you gotta be humble. That's 101. It's not easy, it can be an incredibly difficult thing. An ambassador is someone in a foreign land representing where they belong and who owns that place where they come from. For us, it is Jesus and where we come from, the Kingdom of God. We are citizens of His kingdom and have access to all the benefits and rights of belonging to that Kingdom. It's who we are, whether we know it or not.

As the scriptures says in Ephesians 4:31 - Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and tender-hearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you
Very interesting. I went to read that scripture you posted and ended up scrolling down and reading the wrong verses, but turns out I was meant to read them....

Ephesians 4:20-24: "But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness"

A few Bible Verses to help with being like Jesus.

1 John 2:6 Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.

1 Corinthians 11:1 Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

1 Peter 2:21 For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.

Ephesians 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.

When we become like Jesus it is natural to do things like He would becoming Ambassadors representing God and His kingdom.

In our humanity...we fall short. That's why we are given the "helper". We let Him lead.

[h=1](2 Corinthians 12:9-11): ...New American Standard Bible (NASB)[/h] And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
I have become foolish; you yourselves compelled me. Actually I should have been commended by you, for in no respect was I inferior to the most eminent apostles, even though I am a nobody.

In both 2 Corinthians 5:20 and Ephesians 6:20 Paul says that he and his co-workers were ambassadors of Christ. An ambassador is one sent by a particular authority to contact certain people. The faithful believers are ambassadors sent by God, the highest authority in the universe. They are one with God, representing God to carry out His purpose in Christ on this earth.

God took me thru many Scriptures before I understood this point of His calling. It is that I know Him better that I naturally desire to be that which He wills. "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, here am I; send me. (Isaiah 6:8).

After studying this, I realized God did not address the call to Isaiah; Isaiah overheard God saying - "Who will go for us?" I realize the call of God is not for the special few, it is for everyone. But, whether or not I hear God's call depends upon the state of my ears.; and what I hear depends upon my disposition (my inherent qualities of mind and character).

"Many are called but few are chosen," that is, few prove themselves the chosen ones. The chosen ones, I have learned, are those who have come into a relationship with God thru Jesus Christ whereby their disposition has been altered and their ears unstopped, and they hear the still small voice questioning all the time - "Who will go for us?"

I now realize it is not a question of God singling out a man and saying, "Now, you go Dan." God did not lay a strong compulsion on Isaiah; Isaiah was in the presence of God and he overheard the call, and realized that there was nothing else for him but to say, in conscious freedom and liberty - "Here am I; send me."

This has been my story as well, but at first I went to serve as an army cadet serves his Nation. But I had to let all that vibrato go and simply get to know God more. As I did, I became simpler and child-like while I understood what I wanted all the more in freedom. I had to get out of my mind the idea of expecting God to come with compulsions and pleadings.
When Our Lord called His disciples there was no irresistible compulsion from outside. The quiet, passionate insistence of His "Follow Me" was spoken to men with every power, (volitionally powered thru our disposition in Christ) - wide awake. If we let the Spirit of God bring us face-to-face with God, we too will hear something akin to what Isaiah heard, the still small voice of God; and in perfect freedom will say - "Here am I; send me."

This is why I am an Ambassador of Christ. Because it is not a special place of man's. It is simply a normal place for all His Saints who know Him well. And that I am not under compulsion to serve, but rather, I am in His love and as such I have been privileged to know Him intimately.I wasn't looking for Ambassadorship at this stage. I simply heard, by way of the condition of my ears (relationally), that still voice of God speaking, "Who will go for us?" and I desired to love Him so, I want to do His will more than anything else...and without need in stopping, I spit out - "Here is Your Child, Dan - God; I will go, for not my will, but thine be done, You are my life & my love."

*(There are many other Scriptures as well God took me thru: Here are a few: (Gal. 1:15-16); (Romans 1:1); (1 Corinthians 1:17); (1 Corinthians 9:16); (1 Corinthians 4:13); and(2 Corinthians 5:14); and many more, but I won't speak on these at this time. I will simply suggest them.

I remember hearing a pastor once speak about how he was driving and had a heated moment with another driver. Then he remembered his bumper sticker, with the fish symbol, so he put his foot on the brake and let the car pass. He really didn't want the other driver to see it, for fear that he would find out what that symbol meant and then have a wrong impression of Christians as a result. He admitted his behavior was not Christ-like and he really didn't want to represent Christ that way.

We're not perfect and we will slip up once in a while, but certain heated acts of the flesh can be a bad witness to non believers.

We have to bear in mind too that these threads all show up on google, so we get a lot of visitors that are reading every word we type.

[h=3]Psalm 105[/h][SUP]1 [/SUP]Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Remember the wonders he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,
[SUP]6 [/SUP]you his servants, the descendants of Abraham,
his chosen ones, the children of Jacob.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]He is the Lord our God;
his judgments are in all the earth.

[SUP]8 [/SUP]He remembers his covenant forever,
the promise he made, for a thousand generations,
[SUP]9 [/SUP]the covenant he made with Abraham,
the oath he swore to Isaac.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]“To you I will give the land of Canaan
as the portion you will inherit.”

When you are an ambassador for God you want to tell everyone you meet about Him.
