Standing on the Promises

(1) Standing on the promises of Christ my King, Through eternal ages let His praises ring! Glory in the highest i will shout and sing- Standing on the promises of God,
CHORUS:
Standing, Standing, Standing on the promises of God, my Savior,! Standing, Standing, I’m standing on the promises of God,

(2) Standing on the promises that cannot fail
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail; By the living word of God I shall prevail- Standing on the promises of God.

(3) Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally by love's strong cord, Overcoming daily with the Spirit's sword- Standing on the promises of God.

(4) Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
Listening every moment to the Spirit's call, Resting in my Savior as my all in all- Standing on the promises of God.

How do you stand on the promises of God...How do you stand on the Word? When I was a new Christian I heard someone say.."I sleep with my bible under my pillow to ward off bad dreams" LOL Why not put a chain of garlic around your neck? You are using the book as a talisman...It's not a talisman by any means. You need to use the Word...So....How do YOU do it?

Most people are not standing on the word, they are falling away.

Good but faith is a verb, an action word...What do you do to put your faith to work?
first the action (Finding All In The Heart), then proceed with the whatever it may be.

Believe the Words of Jesus Christ and He will make us to stand. His words are different than the others, the entire Bible is the word of God, yet the things before are telling us " God is going to send the messiah with the message of light and life and then He will die and be raised to life in order to bring us to God" and everything after Jesus, is a testimony that the Messaih came with the message of light, woith Grace and truth. "

Gods word has Life in it , just as He said " Let there be light...and light began to shine...the same principle applies to the word of Jesus Christ, there is creative power in His word, so when we believe Him we are taking those things into our minds and heart, and because of Faith they quicken us to stand, all of the Glory Goes to God who has always done His work through His word.

DEUTERONOMY 18:18-19 "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him." see acts 3:22-26 and acts 7:37-38 to confirm this is a reference to Jesus who had living words to pass onto us. John 6:63, john 8:31-32, john 12:48-50, and many other references Jesus makes to His words.

deuteronomy 30:6 "And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. "

colossians 2:11 "
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ" ( again God does His work through His words)

deuteronomy 30:11-14 "For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. 12It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 13Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 14But the word is very nigh unto thee, in THY MOUTH, and in THY HEART, that thou mayest DO IT.""

romans 10:8-10 "
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man BELIEVETH INTO RIGHTEOUSNESS; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Just the very nature of the word Lord, means His word is what we accept as the Word of our Lord, who has a Lord and doesnt accept what He says?

matthew 7:21 "
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

its truly about believing the words of Jesus, because as he repeats " this is not my teaching, but the teaching of God" we believe in Jesus, therefore what He says is our belief. in believing His word, we learn How to stand and walk uprightly in Gods sight because His words are Living in us through Faith. The power of His word should be obvious, each time He healed, he said it would be done, and it was. the same is true for our sinfulness it is healed through the wounds upon His flesh for remission, and circumcised through His words of truth and Life and spirit. all of scripture is valuable and useful but its all testifying of Jesus and His gospel. declared here by paul

2 corinthians 4:1-6 "
Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by MANIFESTATION OF THE TRUTH commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4In whom "the god" OF THIS WORLD hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5For we preach not ourselves, but CHRIST JESUS THE LORD and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 6For God, who commanded the LIGHT TO SHINE out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the LIGHT OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY OF GOD in the face of Jesus Christ."

the gospel according to matthew, mark, luke and John.

Luke 4:18 "
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to PREACH THE GOSPEL to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to PREACH DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES, and RECOVERING OF SIGHT to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,"

So, are you saying that you memorize the Word, putting it into your heart, then stand gritting your teeth hoping He'll do something soon...Or do you mean something else? Please talk as though I'm really really dumb..Uh Without shouting though. LOL

Find the promise in the Word first, how will we know what to claim if we simply don't know? How do we do that? Sit in Christ to know what it is He would grant you for your need in His promises; and then roll up your sleeves and study. Remember 2 Timothy 3:16? It's useful for training - learn them.

Believe you've received it before you even pray for God to honor it, having already sat with Him over it in way of your Spirit to spirit communication. And after you pray don't let doubt set in either using the Armor of God to ward off evil intentions by outside sources. Remember as He answers you it will be based on His Best answer in keeping to His promise, again why we must start from sitting first and seeing His ways over our own.

Learn to live and speak God's promises, as a way of life. Faith is believing and speaking. (2 Corinthians 4:13).

Hold steadfast to your faith. "It is thru faith and patience that we possess the promises of God." (Hebrews 6:12).

It is up to us to possess them now that we have crossed over and have been empowered to do so. Some of us are almost there, just beyond eye-shot in receiving it, but are ready to turn and burn back down the hill. Some fear everything but God, instead of fearing God and fearing nothing else. Others of us are timid and lack the countenance of Christ in us having every wind toss and turn us upside down.

I hope we can find His promises in His Word, believe in our hearts, and speak the promises with our mouths, while never giving up. I encourage us to become forthright and bear claim to them, that's , after all, why He gave them, while always keeping in step with our Fathers will and purposes.

Psalm 119:11: ...New International Version (NIV)

11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.

Now keep in mind this is a verb, for the heart is not simply a resting place but it is where we think, and wrestle with truth in our relationship to our Spirits/spirits communications. The brain therefore is simply the
mechanical mechanism of the hearts thinking. And by its results we command the body what to do by our soul in step with our Masters input.. So to have more ammo for His Spirit to use in communicating with us on the fly in the times of the here and now; and in the opportunity for us to meditate on it day and night allowing our spirit to enlighten us, we will be least apt to fall into sinning. So to hear and read and apply and memorize and to meditate is what we must also do.

live by the word, believe the word, know that it is true, you don't have to do anything in the flesh to see if it will work, trust God that it will work.that is what he wants to prove to you.. stand still and know that i am God. believe, trust, and wait.

when you ride on on a bus, train, or plane, the reason you ride is because you know it will get you to where you want to go. so you trust them to get you there, if not, you would not ride. and then you wait, because there is nothing you can do except enjoy the ride.

LOL WoF is Word of Faith
I know. And I know you have been talking about it for some time, that's why it doesn't surprise me you almost questioned me about it...its good. It sounded to me to be more of a statement wrapped in a question. Or is that not the case?
