Sounds good for if they teach the younger women, then they should teach the young children, for a woman's gentleness might be better than a man,for if they raise the children at home, then they would be good to teach the children at Church.

It says so in the Bible. Titus 2.

(Actually, I just wrote this because I'm tired of men telling women what we should and shouldn't do, as if they have authority over all women, and I just wanted to see how many would get into a Royal Rumble over this. lol)
I think Titus 3 states women have to die their hair blue. However, I am from the group that defends women's rights.

I taught Sunday School for a group of third to fifth grade boys a few years ago. After the first lesson, I figured out why we couldn't find a woman to teach them. I survived for a year, and I am certain, without a shadow of doubt, that there is no scripture that allows a man to teach third to fifth grade boys. If any man is looking for one, he needs to get down on his knees, put his face on the ground, and repent, and promise God that he will never do it again.

You're going to have to elaborate on that chapter, I don't think many would want to admit that on. I'd place you as more the chapter 31 type woman. At least some of the time anyway. lol

I'd like to say I'm a Proverbs 32 woman, but I'm not. So, I'm a Proverbs 33 woman. (I don't exist in the Bible. lol)

I truly know men are better at cooking than I am. At least, all the men in my family. :)

You shouldn't have posted that. Proverbs 33 is where all the secret knowledge is revealed.

When men of the gold medal marathon become the women of the year...
Sounds like the Bruce Gender guy...

I wear pants.
Good to know... it's probably best to not go out in public without covering up.

Sometimes I wear both at the same time...
But, do you ever wear your underwears on the outside like them redneck church girls???

one word pops in their mind... SINNER
Well, what do you call someone who intentionally does not do what scripture says???

[h=1]???????

Titus 2New International Version (NIV)[/h][h=3]Doing Good for the Sake of the Gospel[/h]2 You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine. 2 Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.
3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. 4 Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands,so that no one will malign the word of God.
6 Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. 7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good.In your teaching show integrity, seriousness 8 and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
9 Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, 10 and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.
11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
15 These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.

To answer you Rock, what i don't view people with labels like that, When I see people purposely disobeying scripture I see neither a saint nor a sinner not a man or a women I see person who has stumbled and may need help getting back up whether that is with correction or encouragement or even a reminder of what we are to do instead.

I don't see with such eyes that I label people it is not my place to do so it is only my place to be there for them and to help guide them in the correct manner and way to go. For instance my neighbor is a man who got surgery to become a women he is the (mother) of his daughter Sam and is known around the neighborhood as a prostitute.
When I was asked by my brother what I though about that my reply was regardless if he is a man or women or if he is a prostitute it isn't my place my to judge, my brother who is a atheist was both surprised and impressed and said if only the rest of America saw things like you do.

Most people initial thoughts would be judgemental most people first label to place on this person might be the worst of things including a sinner but what I see is a lost sheep what i think about them is to not point the finger but to reach out a helping hand and I only feel compassion for such people. When I became a Christian I promised father that above all other things I would be love and love does not look down upon others love does not label others love does not point out peoples faults unless it's only to help and build them up which many claim to do but if they were to search their hearts i mean really search it I wonder if they could say this 100%.

Love sees the sin not the sinner

That's a perfectly valid point that you are doing a pretty good job of making.

NO...men shouldn't have control over women BUT women shouldn't have gotten to the point where this is a major issue.

EQUALITY IN ALL THINGS,even those that don't benefit you personally.

can you imagine the world that would exist if women didn't believe that having sex is their sole responsibility to the world?

Oh yeah sorry,I think that a man would do a great job teaching any children anything, as long as he ain't a pedophile.

I don't think it's a case of men telling women what they should do as much as it is the communication of a traditional standard, grounded in scripture.

The same source that tells men what they should and should not do. What women should and should not do. What children should and should not do. What hermaphrodites should and should not do ( ;) ).

There is obviously a fine line between finger-wagging self-righteousness and the expectation of a standard.

It says so in the Bible. Titus 2.

I don't know,I don't need scripter to tell me what is common sense to me.

A woman contributing more than sex would have elevated us much higher than we are.

i agree with the OP, to many "no women" rules in churches as well as leadership roles in the community. women have every right to do these things and women should feel free to start threads to discuss these matters.

PS, ladies please dont forget to ask permission from one of the men before starting such threads.
