Why was Jesus so tough about sexual edict? He preached about sex, when he himself never experienced a sexual relationship.

Do you actually care? Any reason why you walked away from God 18 years ago?

If you do care I will post the Bible verse that explains why in a moment.

1 Corinthians 6
18Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sine a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. 19Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Do I care? Yes, indeed I do. Yeah I walked away only 1-2 years ago not 18.

Anyway get that scripture.

Ask himself! He is the One who knows it at best!
But if you look around in the world you can see which big role has sexuality and how much it is misused in the relationships.
Jesus as God knows what has such much destruction power than misused sexuality. And so far I know he preached only about wife and husband relationship and that adultry will destroy this closest of relationship!

How is doing something nature intends us to no (Programs us to do) sinful?
Did your God make us in a way that we would desire sex regularly, but deny us this privileged unless we dress in silly garb, say silly words, while other silly people stare at us.

Yes, but you can't class everyone who has sex outside of marriage a fornicator. That's called a blanket statement.

The husband and wife relationship is an analogy for Christ and His Church. Any sexual behavior outside marriage corrupts the analogy. God gave us the desire to eat, too- but He does not want us to be gluttons. There are boundaries, put in place by God.

"Nature" is nothing; God designed us. He programmed the nature of sex. He intends us to use His gifts according to His design. Regarding the "silly words", it's called making a covenant of marriage. If you think that's silly, take it up with God.

We don't need to. The Bible does that for us, and yes, it can, because it is God's word, and He can. Yes, it is a blanket statement. It's sin. Don't do it, because it will do damage to your inner being. It exposes you to disease and unwanted pregnancy. All sex outside of marriage is a corrupting influence. God loves us as His kids and does not want His kids corrupted by illicit sex. It's pretty simple.

Maybe Christians today are mistaken about sex, or the bible is mistaken about sex.

"need to" ?

nah, man, you need to breathe and eat to live.

intimate relationships are optional.
this "need" business is dressed up humanism to justify what we want, not what we need.

I don't use the bible anymore to make my determinations.

I used to pick things out of the bible that helped my case, but I don't I need it anymore.

Sadly, many Christians are. However, the Bible is not mistaken.

Yes, I'd say so. Just like eating too much can ruin your health, so can fornication ruin your health.
