We all need a crutch to lean on at times, maybe a good friend. A loving heavenly father who is always near by. One who is always there with a helping hand, no matter how far we may fall. God is there no matter what the problem maybe, with his loving voice. I got you my child it's going to be ok, you can always use me as a crutch to lean on.

Never have to worry whether or not he'll be there. In this life we have "friends" that betray us. At other times we have those in our lives who'll say to us they will be there when we need them, but when the time comes, they are nowhere to be found, but God is faithful and consistent.

Psalm 18:2
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Luke 1:68-79
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
69And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
70As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:
71That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
72To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
73The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
74That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
75In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
76And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
77To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
78Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
79To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

changes your life for the better, gives clarity of meaning to life itself and true Hope beyond the viel the world sees as the end. you seem as if you maybe got bored on the non believer type sites, but maybe you are brought Here to find something real :) He fills the holes in the heart, breaks the chains of addictions, gives sight to the Blind, Life to the spiritually dead, faith to the empty, hope to the hopeless, Love to the unlovable. just to name a few

Jesus is not a crutch... He's more like a stretcher as He carries us thru the hard times!

remember peter walked by faith, until he needed the Lords help. the hard times when were unable, hes like a hero carrying us, but the whole time hes speaking His word of life over us, into our ears teaching us the power of Faith that gives us the strength to walk on water just by trusting His word.

Matthew 14:28-33 "And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? 32And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. 33Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God."

Hes teaching us to Have Faith in God so we can walk, and help others walk in the faith as well. really a microcosm of the christian walk :)

I agree, but He is also more than a 'crutch, a stretcher, a helper, an aid....
He is our EVERYTHING because He can make us into a NEW Creation lasting for all Eternity ! There are no words in our language to describe God's/Jesus's Greatness !
We all start our new life as 'walking wounded in need of a helping hand !

Well, what does God actually do.
You keep asking these question as if you'd actually listen to answers, and yet... each time, you walk off and leave when you are being answered. Who is the fool there?
