In my morning reading i was totally encouraged by God. This was from Tabletalk magazine by Ligonier Ministries. The article was titled "When all things are made new".

I live my life in constant pain 24/7/365 due to ostio and rheumatoid arthritis. It often gets me down but i never allow it to stop me. It does hinder much of what i do and i cannot do all the things i used to enjoy. People often say "I dont know how you do it" and my reply is always "by the grace of God". I dont have a defeatist attitude and have a high pain tolerance so i always work thru the pain to do what needs done. But i do not think i could do any of this if it were not for my faith in Jesus, my total trust in God the Father and the power of the Holy Spirit in me.

I am often reminded, as was the case this morning, that we will not be dealing with things like this forever. When our time is finished on this earth we will be going to a place, for eternity, where pain and suffering will be no more. But this will only happen if we follow and place our faith in Jesus.

In the article the author mentioned one thing i never really thought of. There wont even be weeds in the ground and the ground will not hinder our plowing. What a thought! The things of this world that hinder us, even the little things will be no more! We will actually even see the face of God. "Can you imagine looking into the unveiled glory of God for one second? (Quote by the author R. C. Sprouls).

These bothersome things of this world will be no more! We should not allow these things to stop us because we are only here for a short time. This time is not even a speck compared to eternity in the presence of God.

So today be encouraged because our future is with God. Dont live for the here and now but live for the Glory of God because some day we will be in the presense of the Glory of God!

God bless you all and may God watch over and keep you.

Good stuff, thank you for sharing.
: )

I'm not a Calvinist, but I've been greatly blessed by R.C. Sproul and many of the reformed brethren.
There are many great men who are "in the faith" and have different views on some doctrinal things...
sometimes we'd do well to appreciate them.

And just so you'll know, this is a particular issue R.C. Sproul is very careful about.
He is extraordinarily gracious and careful in what he says.
He is very clear about his doctrinal positions, and he NEVER backs down... and yet, he is also quite adamant about using grace and kindness toward those holding differing views within orthodoxy.

He's a brilliant man, but also a very gracious man.
