2 Chronicles 20

27 Then, led by Jehoshaphat, all the men of Judah and Jerusalem returned joyfully to Jerusalem, for the Lord had given them cause to rejoice over their enemies. 28 They entered Jerusalem and went to the temple of the Lord with harps and lyres and trumpets

Lol that's all I could find.

I often say "Holy mackerel".....but it sounds fishy to me...I'm "floundering" in trying to find it in the bible too....Wait...I think I found it....

1 Thessalonians 5:23 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and "sole" and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Opps....wrong fish and wrong word too...I'm having a "whale" of a time trying to find it.

Leviticus 11:9 ►
These shall you eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall you eat.

Leviticus 11:9 Commentaries: 'These you may eat, whatever is in the water: all that have fins and scales, those in the water, in the seas or in the rivers, you may eat.

(b) “the spiny fins,” as the perch, the mackerel, and the tunny

The king's name in the oath jumping Jehosaphat was likely popularized by the name's utility as a euphemism for Jesus and Jehovah. The phrase, spelled "Jumpin' Geehosofat" is first recorded in the 1865-1866 novel The Headless Horseman by Thomas Mayne Reid. The novel also uses "Geehosofat" standing alone, as an exclamation. The longer version "By the shaking, jumping ghost of Jehosaphat" is seen in the 1865 novel Paul Peabody by Percy Bolingbroke St John.

Another theory is that the reference is to Joel 3, where the prophet Joel says, speaking of the judgment of the dead, "Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about." from wiki

OK, so it looks like I need to quit saying "jumpin Jehoshaphat" since we can't really find anywhere in scripture where he actually did any jumpin...

You only get a small glimpse of his life. No way to know if he did some jumping. But all kids learn to jump. So even if he didn't as a man you can probably count on him doing it as a boy.

OK, so I've been delivered from saying "jumpin Jehoshaphat"... not doing that anymore.

A few years back I found out I had misinterpreted what the Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:27 when he said "I buffet my body"

I thought he was saying we should go to a lot of restaurants with buffets so I could buffet my body... no wonder I was gaining all that weight!
