2 Peter 2:12 But these men, like irrational animals – creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed – do not understand whomthey are insulting, and consequently in their destruction they will be destroyed,

Agreed, though I prefer the NIV:
But these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish.

I definitely feel like I'm talking to a bunch of unreasoning animals. It's amazing how obstinate people can be. We're destroying our planet, but it's okay because the bible gives you permission? I guess it's like they say, 'you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink'. I for one am glad to have an open mind and compassionate heart. I don't find it unreasonable to want this earth to exist 200 years from now, whether I'm here to see it or not. Call me the crazy one

Y'all like food up there. I went to a place called the "Back Door" in Beaver county several years ago. At first I thought it was a gay bar, but everyone insisted I try it. The waitress suggested a Pittsburgh cheese steak. She asked if I wanted small or large. I ordered a large. She brought me two twelve inch sandwiches.
We love food up here lol
Oh my goodness, that's a lot of sandwich
Back Door, hmmm...I have never heard of It?

I'm not sure what town it was in, but I remember having to drive through a tunnel that had a house built on top of it. It wasn't far from the county seat.

Not sure where you are getting your information. Strict vegetarian and vegan are different.

Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of humans, animals and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals. It's a philosophy and an ethical stance.

If you use animal products in other parts of your life when they can be reasonably avoided, you are not vegan. 'Dietary Vegan' is not a thing.
Veganism originally started as dietary practice that excluded meat and dairy. That it has evolved since then into something else simply means it is not what it once was. Now you define it as a philosophy and way of life that includes diet whereas originally it simply encompassed diet.

No, it started as it's own movement in 1944. In the first letters it distributed to it's members included all manner of specific products people could use that were free from animal products ranging from toothpastes, to shoe polishes, to glue. It has always been about more than just diet. Not to be pedantic here, but you are spreading misinformation which drives me crazy. Veganism did evolve from vegetarianism which can be documented back for thousands of years, maybe that is the source of your confusion? From the start, being vegan has always been about more than diet. So I'll ask again where are you getting your information?

Donald Watson coined the term vegan in 1944 when he co-founded the Vegan Society in England. At first he used it to mean "non-dairy vegetarian", but from 1951 the society defined it as "the doctrine that man should live without exploiting animals". wiki <~source

Seems like you're extrapolating a bit. This is also when that trade list was published of animal free non food products. By 1947 it was made clear that as vegans they reject all animal products. I can see why you think this 'slowly evolved' into something what with your immediate access to anything in the world via the internet. But this was simply as fast as things moved in the 40's. 2 and a half years to fully state they don't use any animal derived products? That's like less than 2 days in internet time. You're splitting hairs unnecessarily.

Why call it extrapolating? It is called HISTORY, not hair splitting.

1. The verse you quote above, 1Peter 2:12, is talking about LOST men, who are under the judgment and damnation of God... not God's own children.

* So you're using this verse completely, 100%, opposite to it's context... showing your ignorance of God's Word... not to mention your hatred of the brethren.

2. You're a brand new member here, who should be acting politely, and getting to know people...
and yet here you are, pointing at the SAVED BRETHREN, GOD's OWN CHILDREN, FOR WHOM CHRIST DIED, and calling them UNREASONING ANIMALS, and comparing them to LOST MEN UNDER DAMNATION.

* So you aren't here to make friends, or be part of the community, but rather to angrily, and wrongly, accuse the brethren of the very things of which God has already approved (eating meat).

3. Since you're ONLY here to ACCUSE THE BRETHREN, and you're committing such blasphemous acts as comparing God's own children to lost men under damnation, maybe we should consider things.

Hmmm... who else wrongly, and angrily, accuses the brethren?

Hmmm... is there someone... someone... who goes around wrongly accusing the brethren, in the most vile terms, and delights in condemning them?

I guess that would be Satan.

Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

4. It seems to me that someone from Idaho is playing on the wrong team.

5. So if you're playing for the wrong team, I guess there are 2 questions to ask.

A. Do you belong on the other team because you're one of them, and not one of us at all?

B. Are you just playing for the other team because you're so confused you have no idea what you're doing?

6.There are lots of people here who debate and argue constantly... and yet they would never dare to call the brethren animals, and compare them to lost men under damnation.

I think we have a huge problem here.
