Is it possible for a gathering to have a mighty worship service where people are lifting their hands and some are even falling down under the power, yet God the Father our Creator has nothing to do with it? I think it is happening big time today. An old preacher named McGee first brought this possibility to mind when he mentioned how the ancients worshipped idols. He pointed out that those people were getting something out of what they were doing. The NT tells us that they were connecting with spirit beings not of God. Israel would often leave the worship of God and worship these spirit beings. This made me realize that those same evil angels(or whatever they are) are still around today and are still seeking to draw people away from the worship of God to worship them. Some of those angels have great drawing power, even John fell down to worship an angel. Which brings me to my point, there is a great move in the church today that begin around 1906 and it is built around the idea that if you feel a great spiritual power(anointing) then it has to be God, even if the bible disagrees with it. I know a friend who said that he did not believe in what was going on until he came and felt the power. This is the big mistake, people are assuming that any spiritual power in a church has to be God. Jesus spoke of those who will have great ministries in His name and He will say I NEVER knew you, because He never did know them because the spiritual anointing they operated under was not God.

Yes spiritualism does the exact same thing and has the same symptoms and results.

Your questions;

"Is it possible for a gathering to have a mighty worship service where people are lifting their hands and some are even falling down under the power, yet God the Father our Creator has nothing to do with it?"

My answer;
Yes spiritualism does the exact same thing and has the same symptoms and results."

The Holy Spirit is creative, powerful and ministers to/influences each person differently.

I have seen the counterfeit and seen the real. The evidence is shown in the fruits afterwards in a person's life. When love replaces bitterness, forgiveness replaces anger, joy replaces grieving, peace replaces confusion.

Even the fruits displayed in a church service where, after some unfamiliar manifestations of the Holy Spirit is seen, Christ is magnified and worshiped. The wrong spirit would never lift Christ up.

And if Christ is lifted up and a life is changed - who are we to judge the means?

How TRUE this is, man! It seems the "easier" route is to "assume", more er less taking for granted, that because one is inside a church of stone? ANY/EVERY "thing", that happens, is OF God! And? To a point, that would be correct! baal, chemosh, anti-christ, and "others" of the overthrow, ALWAYS "come in the name of Christ", and have not ceased from this agenda! Those mentioned, love people who "assume"! And? ADD to this, God helping (deluding) these people into believing THIS LIE? And, what ya have is a really tough row to hoe, for True Seekers of REAL Christianity! But?.....It's always been tough! Can tell ya something else too! These "attempted" overthrowings of "replacing" God from off His mercy seat? Have been going on a lot longer then since 1906! In the book of Enoch? He goes so far as to even "name names", mentioning "certain attributes" (perks, if you will), that they use! Yet?...To your point? Yeah? "they" have "turned up the heat", because, as "time goes on"? satan's TIME, grows shorter! he, knows this, and spends a great deal of effort, in keeping it "secret"!...So, tis a good thing..."this" being "noticed", by some!

We are to judge the means because Jesus said that many would have great ministries in His name yet He did not know them, meaning that the power was never of God. Also, anyone can act like a Christian, the means they use is exactly what we should judge according to the word of God.

I can really only speak for myself. When I abandon myself in worship and the presence of God is tangible I know it. My heart is fully focused on Him and desiring Him. He doesn't give us a snake when we ask for a fish.
Grief replaced with joy, confusion replaced with clarity, turmoil replaced with peace. They are the best times.

Oookay, which one of you were there in 1906?

What did you see?

Or, to be more concise, what man told you, & you swallowed it hook, line, & sinker?!?

We live in an age of great knowledge, we can study the known evidence and pretty much know what happened in 1906 with the Pentecostal movement, it is all right here in the net to those who want to know.

Yep, with all their twisting, reinterpretations, & history changes to make it an abomination.

Maybe I should post all those sites that says the SBC is the only christian denomination without bylaws against Freemasonry.

Should I do such a thing?

Is it true?

Should I do it anyway if I have a grudge against them?

Should I do it because one of those churches hurt my feelings & offended me?

Does that give me justification to do it?

Just thinking out loud.....
(I could do it without all those reasons, too)

You assume that anyone who finds fault with the Pentecostal movement is not an honest person who really wanted to know the truth, but someone trying to discredit Pentecostalism. You are very mistaken, I was in Pentecostalism for years and only did the study when I found Pentecostal people just flat out lying about their history, so I checked it out for myself. I am sorry but the evidence from the neutral sources show that the Pentecostal movement was a far cry from an out pouring of the Spirit of God.

Funny how the Bible seems to disagree with you every time you open your mouth:

2 Chronicles 5.11-14

[SUP]11 [/SUP]When the priests came forth from the holy place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without regard to divisions), [SUP]12 [/SUP]and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and kinsmen, clothed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps and lyres, standing east of the altar, and with them one hundred and twenty priests blowing trumpets [SUP]13 [/SUP]in unison when the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one voice to praise and to glorify the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the Lord saying, “He indeed is good for His lovingkindness is everlasting,” then the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, [SUP]14 [/SUP]so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

PS: This was way before 1906 so what does that say for you?

I hope you don't get to horse when you get down on all fours and bark like a dog while all your Pentecostal buddies are clapping and saying praise the Lord. Or maybe when you scream fire, fire, and vibrate like a broken lawn mower. Or maybe its when you howl like wolf...O yes you folks have it all together.
