This is a verse I have posted in the past. I wanted to share it again, because Gods' word is always worth hearing again. Gods' word is our guide and it makes our paths become clear.

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and
light for my path.

Hi Von,

Amen, His word never grows old, does it. :)

It's a great scripture because our answer is always there with that one verse. He lights our path and shows us the way and how to walk.

In the light. :)

As a cross reference or a similar scripture:

Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light;
And reproofs for discipline are the way of life .....

Amen...great verse. We know that Jesus is the word of God and He is our light and our path. Jesus dwells in our spirit - the new creation in Christ which has been created in righteousness and holiness.

Here are 2 scriptures the Lord gave me to meditate on concerning the light or lamp.

Proverbs 20:27 (NASB)
[SUP]27 [/SUP] The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, Searching all the innermost parts of his being.

Psalm 18:28 (NASB)
[SUP]28 [/SUP] For You light my lamp; The LORD my God illumines my darkness.

I just finished reading Psalm 119 last night. I made it into a three day endeavour! There are actually 8 words that the Psalmist uses in Hebrew throughout this acrostic poem.

Hebrew........English ...................... Meaning
1. Torah.........Law.........................instruction
2. Dabar........Word........................what God has spoken
3. 'Edot.........Testimony/covenant...what God has testified to be his will
4. Mishpat.......Rules......................what the divine Judge has ruled to be
5. Mistvot........commands..............what God has commanded
6. Amar...........sayings...................what God has spoken
7. Piqoodim.....precepts/charges......what God has appointed to be done
8. Khuqqim.....statutes/laws............what the divine Lawgiver has laid down

It is interesting how keen people are to quote GOD's
Word !
Law !
Commandments ! etc..etc
and how they love to repeat it. This is of course a 'good thing, reminding us of GOD's Will !
But it will be even more interesting to see them actually LIVE it ! At present they keep them all still nailed to the cross or have died to them.
This is not my opinion, we see that view posted daily in one thread or another. What this means is that they are either 'in rebellion/disobedience or they are spiritually dead.
When are people going to start their NEW LIFE IN CHRIST ? It's not the 'hearing that is the essence but the DOING Jas 1v22.

Psalm 18:28 (NASB)
[SUP]28 [/SUP] For You light my lamp; The LORD my God illumines my darkness.
Ha. That's the one I thought of too :)

Job 29:2-3: "Oh, that I were as in months past, As in the days when God watched over me; When His lamp shone upon my head, And when by His light I walked through darkness"

Isaiah 42:16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
