Here is the NASTIEST & MOST DEVASTATING LIE the devil has ever attacked people with:

"You're always going to sin UNTIL YOU DIE, that's how you were born and that's just how things are."
-------------------------------------------------------
:( ...WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!...

THAT IS EXACTLY WHY JESUS SAID WE MUST BE BORN AGAIN!!!

All of these "Christians" that believe they will always fulfill the sinful deeds of the flesh, even AFTER they have been "CLEANSED OF ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS" (1John 1:9) have believed in VAIN! Saying you can't cease from sin an evil LIE straight from Satan and hell gains souls every minute because of it!!!
-------------------------------------------------------
If you believe that and quote verses like Romans 7:24 to justify the iniquity of your flesh then you must have missed what Paul clarifies in the beginning of that chapter:

"For WHEN we WERE in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, DID work in our members to bring forth fruit to death." -Romans 7:5

"WHEN WE WERE IN THE FLESH" don't you see? He wasn't in the flesh anymore! In verses like 24, he was clearly describing what life was like BEFORE he was IN the Spirit of Christ Jesus. That's why he wrote the beginning of the next chapter by saying:

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them WHICH ARE IN CHRIST JESUS, who walk NOT AFTER THE FLESH, but AFTER THE SPIRIT." -Romans 8:1

WHOSOEVER IS TRULY IN CHRIST IS NOT IN THE FLESH AND DOES NOT SIN!

"So then THEY that are IN THE FLESH cannot please God.
But YOU are NOT IN THE FLESH, but IN THE SPIRIT, IF SO BE that the Spirit of God dwell in you." -Romans 8:8-9

Everybody MUST mortify (PUT TO DEATH) the deeds of your body, if you live AFTER THE FLESH YOU SHALL DIE. Only those who are LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD! (Romans 8:13-14)

I pray to God people see this! If you mind the things of the flesh YOU ARE NOT BORN OF THE SPIRIT. If you are LED by the Spirit of God, YOU WILL NOT COMMIT SIN! Simple as that! IF you're in Christ you are a new creature that is now born of God! That's why 1 John 3:9& 5:18 says that whosoever IS born of God DOES NOT AND CAN NOT SIN. Plain and simple.
--------------------------------------------------------

"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh." -Galatians 5:16

"IF you be LED by the Spirit, YOU ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW." -Galatians 5:18

"And they that ARE Christ's HAVE CRUCIFIED THE FLESH with its passions and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." -Galatians 5:24-25

================================
Do you really think you can be LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD WHILE SINNING? Do you think you are "saved from your sins" WHILE YOU'RE LIVING IN SIN?! If so, you have believed in vain, and 1 John 3:8 says you are of the devil!!

AWAKE to righteousness, and SIN NOT!! For some don't have the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame!! (1 Corinthians 15:34)

Repent and believe!!
"PUT ON therefore, AS THE ELECT OF GOD, HOLY and BELOVED, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
And above ALL these things PUT ON CHARITY, which is the BOND OF PERFECTNESS.
And let the PEACE of God RULE IN YOUR HEARTS, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful." -Colossians 3:12-15

well you are half right,we are to be born again through Jesus, but remember" all fall short of the glory of God",as in we still sin,but this is not to say that we can't do our best to strive for perfection, not believe you can keep from sin completely, for as it is written"there is none perfect no not one,he who claims to be is a liar and the truth is not in them" so you are on the right track, and I'm certainly glad you are zealous for God,just keep learning while reading the bible alongside the holy spirit, and you'll grow further in christ, and be able to lead people to keeping from sin,not perfectly doing no sin, there in lies the difference, just keep at it!

Yay! Another user here to tell everyone else they're wrong! We don't have enough of those already. And referring to Christians as "Christians" makes the condescending and self pride levels go way up! Congratulations on being smarter and more spiritually enlightened and using that as a chance to put others down.

You will fit perfectly in the BDF.

What a wretched man I am![Romans 7:24a]

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.[1 Timothy 1:15]

Looks like the OP is better than Paul, who penned 13 NT books, healed the sick, and spoke verbally to the Christ.

Reeks of Wesleyan second act of grace heresy.

We're always going to be imperfect and commit sin? 1Peter 1:4 tells us to let patience have her perfect work to make us perfect and complete lacking nothing. Why does everyone here condemn me for having done so? I know God is pleased with me for letting patience have her perfect work in me making me perfect and complete. He will tell me on that day "Well done my faithful servant, inherit this Kingdom that's been prepared for you."

well that is a sin and I'm sure you are trying to put it behind you,we ourselves are not perfect, only God/Jesus is Perfect, and only alongside God can we keep from sin,"for with God all things are possible" you see unfortunately no one can keep entirely from sin, because as jesus put it,"what cometh out from a man defileth the man, evil thoughts, murderers, drunkards, lying in wait, for these cometh out from a man's heart and defileth, for the heart is desceptive and seeketh after wrong doings,so since we can only keep from certain sin,and not the sin that we cannot know that we do each day,so since we cannot ourselves keep from sin entirely therefore we are not perfect which is why came to die for all our sins, for if it were possible that anyone could be perfect, then why did we need jesus to die for our sins? Because none could be found but he himself!(no I'm not upset with you in fact I encourage you to search the bible out alongside the holy spirit to learn what is true,if you know not how to receive the holy spirit, then ask God to save your soul and accept Jesus as your saviour,in which asking God to save your soul is the most personal conversation you can have with God and is not about exact words, and there after be baptized and all these if you "willingly" go through them for God and Jesus, then you shall receive the holy spirit and he can guide you through the bible!I hope you'll give this a try,but of course it's just a suggestion, the choice is between you and God alone, well hope this helped you!!!)

What a wretched man I am
Yes, followers of false grace are in deed "wretched" and they don't understand the guy in Romans 7 says he was "sold under sin" which shows this is not a born again man but one trying to keep the law under the OT in that he wants to do right but cannot.

We're always going to be imperfect and commit sin?
Until we get our glorified bodies we will always fall short of absolute perfection even if we grow spiritually to where we don't walk after the flesh anymore and willingly / knowingly sin.

Big difference those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil spoken of in Hebrews 5:14 having grown to where they do not live a sinful lifestyle and those that claim to be Christians who retain sinful behavior and still say they are saved claiming sin covers their sinful lifestyle (Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid - Romans 6:1)

Once we leave Club Earth and get that glorified body we ain't going to be falling short of perfection cause in God there is no darkness!

well that is a sin
Not according to some on the board here who claim to be Booze Drinkers for Jesus

I guess eventually someone will come along and will claim to be Pot Smokers for Jesus

I put it behind me as soon as I confessed and Jesus cleansed me of all unrighteousness and he did now I live for the will of God with a clean concience :)

My soul has been purified in obeying the truth through the Spirit, being born again of incorruptible seed by the word of God that lives and abides forever. [1 Peter 2:22-23]

The word of God abides in me and I have overcome the wicked one. [1 John 2:14] I encourage you all to let patience have her perfect work in you, shun evil, do good, and ensue peace because the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open to the prayers of the righteous, but the face of the Lord is against people who do evil. Someone's hoodwinked.
In the last days there will unholy men who despise people that are good. These despisers of good have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. And ALL MEN WHO WILL LIVE GODLY IN CHRIST JESUS SHALL SUFFER PERSECUTION while evil men and seducers shall progress from bad to worse, deceiving others while they themselves are even deceived. Awaken to righteousness, and sin not. [2 Timothy 3:1-13]

OK, may I get this straight. You saying you believe there's a difference between someone who may sin but being convicted and turning away compared to someone who sins and thinks it's alright?

Yes, I always wonder about these people who say they are going to sin until they die. Jesus is trying to get people to repent of their sin (Matt 4:17), but people are claiming they can't do it.

I agree with joefizz - you're half right. After being cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ we must stop committing big sins like adultery, fornication, slander, etc. but we'll never be perfect. I know many "Christians" who persist in adultery and think they're going to heaven just because they believed and were baptized. They're just being deceived by pa$tor$.
