Let us not confuse the two. In scientific terms; A hypothesis is either a suggested explanation for an observable phenomenon, or a reasoned prediction of a possible causal correlation among multiple phenomena. In science, a theory is a tested, well-substantiated, unifying explanation for a set of verified, proven factors.

to the op:

you said this on yr profile:

so you were like less than 1 since you are saved?

please explain if you don't mind
What i mean is that we all believe in what we were brought up to believe. You would have been a muslim, were you born in a muslim country. My parents are believing christians and so I was destined to be the same. It's funny how we all try our best at protecting our family beliefs, dont you think? :)

yeah. makes for good discussion. nothing to argue over.

yeah, it sucks my three favorite things to discuss (apart from the gospel) is history, science and prophesy, yet they are the most divisive, heated, and outright attacked topics when discussing Gods word. So I do not get t talk about them much, and if I do not for long, I usually leave when it gets out of hand, not worth it.

Not true. People from predominately Muslim and Buddhist countries become Christians. Please do not consider yourself a Christian simply because you were born and raised in a Christian home. That does not make you a Christian.

Religion would be dead if we didn't try to protect it. Here's the thing: If we destroy all science books and bibles and wait a thousand years, the science books will come back just as they were but there would not be a bible. It would be something completley different. That's the main difference between science and religion

If you believed what you were brought up to believe, why are you questioning
what your mother believes? You are contradicting yourself :D

one of the big theories is the GAP theory, I can remember like it was yesterday when I first heard about it, It answer so many questions I had about dinosaurs, all the scientists saying the earth is old etc etc. I could finally answer my friends questions when they asked. And without really studying it, I took it, and ran with it, for years I defended it.

then about ten years ago I started to study about the flood. I love to read, so started to read book from people and studying all views, And this is what changed my view, and led me to become a YEC proponent.

The theory of relativity is only a theory but I can say that my iq is higher than yours. But mine is not very high. That's just an example, though. What confuses me is that you doubt physical evidence but take the bible for granted even though you dont know the middle easterns who wrote them thousands of years ago, and we know that Albert Einstein made the theory of relativity. I am still an avid believer ahahah its conflicting i know
Methinks, you will find as you grow older, that very much of what were once considered "theories", are more "explorations" into what God has done, and are trying in their "vanities", into becoming AS GOD! Along with seducing, or oppressing all who gives them the time of day! As to what they are truly accomplishing? Is causing the beast to rise, from the bottomless pit!

Don't think, not even for one minute, that I take the Bible "for granted"! Although, the "author of confusion", has provided many many "mis-interpretations", of Scripture. And God, has "deluded" many into believing a "lie"! For "the Way", IS strait and narrow, and FEW, are those who find it! Praying you, are one of the few!

Stop it with the one liners and answer
Whoa, you are not the boss of me :) Did I hit a nerve? Answer what? You know there was no question. You put a lot of faith in science. Guess what? The scientific method was developed by Christians :)

Have you studied this much,

DO you realise every time science tries to prove the bible wrong , it has failed, Every historic fact the bible speaks about has been proven to be correct. Every year it seems another archeological find where science thought, this will prove th ebible wrong, ends up proving the bible right.

If you throw them all away, You will keep digging up the bible in some form, and then still have a divided scientific community which really does not know what happened.

The fact is, we were never there, There are no writings from the era except for the bible. So look at the bible as not only a christian book, but a historical book. and you will not go wrong..

No other book in history has been proven more reliable than the bible. flat out.

My God was not dumb, he knew these questions would come up. So he wrote the bible with inherit proofs that it is the true word..
