LOOK TO THE WORD, NOT NATURAL FACTS

"Pastor, I know that God is my healer. But why is this sickness and pain still in my body?” If you have been looking at your sickness and pain all this while, stop looking at yourself and start looking at Jesus. Did He or did He not take upon Himself your sickness and pain?

God’s Word declares, “Surely our sicknesses he hath borne, and our pains—he hath carried them…” (Isaiah 53:4, YLT) Since Jesus has already taken your sickness and pain at the cross, then He cannot “untake” them. Even if you find it hard to believe that Jesus has paid for your healing, especially when the pain is unbearable, the truth is that it is still paid for. It is a finished work!

God is not saying that your sickness does not exist, nor is He asking you to pretend that it is not there. He is asking you to look away from the sickness, painful as it may be, and look to the truth that it has already been judged at the cross in the body of His Son.

Once, while still in the wilderness, the children of Israel were bitten by deadly desert serpents. The serpents were real. The bites were painful and deadly. So God told Moses to point the people to the bronze serpent put on a pole—a picture of the cross. (John 3:14) Bronze signifies judgment. In other words, the serpent—their problem—was already judged at the cross.

Those who kept their eyes on the bronze serpent lived. Those who focused on their wounds died. So stop looking at your sickness. Instead, look to the cross and see your sickness already judged in the body of Jesus. Surely He has borne your sicknesses and carried your pains! That is the truth of God’s Word. And His Word supersedes natural facts.

My friend, you let natural facts rule or establish God’s truths over your problem by what you choose to focus on. So decide today not to focus on the facts concerning your problem. Instead, establish the truth of God’s Word and Christ’s finished work over your problem—and live!

Personal testimony.... I have determined to live my life in this kind of faith pathway that looks to the Word and Jesus as the Holy Spirit leads and reveals. Not to the physical world where the word is always "NO" There have been many challenges and many temptations not to keep on looking to the Bible truth that says If God be for us who can be against us?. And despite it all, Jesus has been faithful to His promises. Even during the lowest of times when it felt like nothing would work out right and the natural mind was saying "this is impossible your wasting your time and what little energy you have" Yet the truth in Christ remained and it was possible just as the Holy Spirit said. All the promises of God are yes and amen.

The enemy has sent many symptoms of illness and failure to cause me to stop in my tracks. But each time Jesus showed that none of it can be compared to what His Spirit is doing and will do. He goes through and will continue to go through the times with me (each and every one of them) and has gotten me out to the other side especially over the last few months.

He heals and sustains us when we can't do it. When all the energy is gone., somehow by His grace it comes again for the next job and the next episode. Matt.19:26

Oh give thanks to the Lord for He is good! His mercies endure forever. Psalm 107:1

Not sure if JP spelled this out exactly. The serpent was judged. No judgement on us anymore. It's his fault we are sick.

Not OT...and definitely not new.

Maybe the reason the fiery serpent was placed upon a pole and lifted up was so that the people who were bit could see where to go for treatment. You know with that many people (hundreds of thousands) gathered together in an encampment a person bitten could wonder around lost never able to receive the healing kinda like a person could search the scriptures and never being able to come to the truth. find where it is written where the preacher is like the fiery serpent.

SYes signs are designed for those who rebell.(no faith) Prophecy for those who believe(have faith).
You sure that prophesy isn't given for them that won't believe while signs so a person can believe?

Ex 4:2-3
2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.
3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.

Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe John 4:48

But i agree there is no judgment on us believers anymore. :)

Of course not, there was no judgment upon man to begin with.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.John 3:17

Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. Ps 37:34

Have you ever wondered why some Christians are weak and sick, and die young? I thank God that the Holy Spirit gives us the reason as well as the solution. In 1 Corinthians 11:29–30, He tells us clearly that the one reason some Christians are weak and sick, and die prematurely, is that they don’t discern the Lord’s body when they partake of the Holy Communion.
Many believers don’t understand that the pierced, striped and slightly burnt bread, which represents the Lord’s body, is for their health and healing. And when they partake without discerning this truth, they partake in an unworthy manner. The reverse is true: If they discern accurately the Lord’s body, then they will be strong and healthy, and live long.
Unfortunately, the church down through the years has misconstrued this teaching and taught that if you have sin in your life, you are unworthy and cannot partake of the Holy Communion, lest you become weak and sick, and even die! We have turned a blessing into a curse. Because of this, many Christians are afraid to come to the Lord’s table and are therefore robbed of the health-giving power of the Holy Communion.
My friend, there is no such thing as a worthy person! The best of us still miss it and fail. So unworthy people are the only people who partake of the Lord’s Supper. But because Jesus died for unworthy people, He has qualified those of us who take Him as our righteousness to partake of every benefit that He died to give us.
So it is not a matter of whether you are worthy or unworthy to partake, but how you partake. Come to the Lord’s table with boldness and partake because Jesus has qualified you with His precious blood. Don’t treat it as a ritual, but release your faith for health and healing as you discern that Jesus’ body was broken so that yours can be healthy and whole today. When you partake like this, you are partaking in a worthy manner, and you will not be weak or sickly, or die prematurely!
Thought For The Day

The pierced, striped and slightly burnt Holy Communion bread, which represents the Lord’s body, is for our health and healing.

Prince totally rejects what the Bible says about taking communion unworthily.

He also says communion brings healing, which is nowhere in the Bible.
26For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
1 Corinthians 11

27Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. 28But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. 30
For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep.

We must examine ourselves to determine if there's any unconfessed sin before we partake.

Joseph Prince's teachings are heretical WOF, easy believism, & hypergrace.

These statements are for information purposes to christians.

No Stephen you are wrong again as usual whenever you seek to redo and re-evaluate and re-interpret what I post. The reason I didn't post that days devotional was because I'm behind a few days. And even if I was not., I might not have posted that days devotional because it would mean getting into the subject of communion and there are differing opinions on that topic.

As for myself., I used to always avoid communion because there were only rare times I could honestly say I confessed every possible sin I was struggling with at that time. There were also times i was not finished dealing with or resolved with an issue of a particular sin like unforgiveness. There were times I was not able to forgive my mother who rejected me and turned my family against me when I first got saved. So I avoided communion and even missed church the 1st Sunday of the month rather than pretend in front of all the congregation that I was good to go and take communion.

Not wanting others to know I was not worthy to take communion because I harbored unforgiveness. There was a time or few that I took communion anyway for the sake of how it looked. I didn't want people to think I was in some sin so I took communion "unworthily". I had heard of people dying in the pews who did this but I was willing to take my chances. When I didn't get zapped with a heart attack I figured it was ok for that time but I better not test God again! (soooo wrong in my human reasoning at the time about God and His dealings with His children. God does not zap us in the pews or strike us dead.

See how our religious views of sin and retribution can come into play and we try to bargain with God with our works? What I should have done but didn't know it at the time was Praise Jesus for the grace of His righteousness and constant forgiveness on me at all times. That because of Jesus and His shed blood and broken body I didn't have to be perfect and could still have issues being worked on while I took communion and thereby thank God for the grace that sustains me in Christ. Believers are not rejected or condemned. Why? because in Christ and at all times because of Christ He is our right standing., we are not standing on our own goodness, we are standing in Christ.

No., that is not easy believe ism. Why? because most people cannot fathom or believe the truth of unmerited favor (grace) and love from God being poured out on us because of Christ alone having nothing to do with our works of righteousness. Our standing is based solely on Jesus Christ and His finished work on our behalf as sons and daughters of the Most High God. The Bible says in Titus 2:11-13

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men 12. instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age,

looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Christ Jesus;

It is the grace of God that teaches us these things but it takes faith in Christ just like when we were saved. By grace through faith. It's always by grace through faith.

I'm sorry to see yet again you misrepresent me and this devotional by this pastor by only giving your poor interpretations of what is being said.

They had sin which brought the serpents into the camp. Sin came upon men because 1. deceived-Eve; 2. temptation-Adam.

The serpent was the cause of both. So judgement is on the serpent- seen in bronze. Both on the pole, and the stake.

God is saying...I fault you mankind no more.

It's just something I saw with my own quest to understand.

Not saying JP is wrong by any means.

Joseph Prince has been proven multiple times to be WOF by his own words, he teaches hypergrace & claims to have "received it" from God in 1997, plus he has been caught using eisegesis in most of his teachings/sermons.

That's not my fault.

Yet, with all the evidence, you still quote him.

This isn't my fault, either.

The part about this particular devotional that spoke to me the most was this part;

When I focus on my own life situations on any given day (because there are many to focus on) I grow weak and pretty much rendered helpless because of the thinking of them. The facts of life are real but the way I look at them whether through the cross where only what Jesus thinks matters OR through my own or other people's ideas and opinions. Who I look at makes the outcome of them a success or a failure.

So to take it to the next step of healing of our physical body is just another extension of the truth. The truth remains the same. The answer to all questions is always Jesus for wisdom, healing and deliverance from oppression.

Oh so what if you find JP to be an imperfect human being preacher., Stephen. I know lot's of people including JP who are not perfect but that doesn't mean they are to be rendered 100% and totally incompetent. I've read much of what you write here on CC and believe you to be over 60% wrong most of the time. As well as missing many major truths about the Bible but that doesn't make me believe you are totally incompetent and evil as a person. I just don't go on your threads and read them because I already know you are not someone I agree with.

So your litmus test for judging people is not the same one I use. And I don't feel the need to point out all that I believe is wrong with you. You are allowed to write your opinions all you want just as anyone else here is allowed to do. But Stephen., since it sounds like no one has told you this info and you really need to hear it.... there is no one human being on planet earth who has the 100% truth but the Lord Himself. Your opinions of JP don't interest me. I just happen to agree with much of what he says and the things I don't., I pass by.

Your "news" that I only post certain days of the Destined To Reign devotional as if you caught me in a crime is just too ridiculous. Don't you get out of the house and see other people with differing ideas and opinions? Do you run to the other side of the street in fear when you see others with a different way of living than you? Do you take out ads in your local paper on them? Life is too short Stephen. Find the good in people and in life and don't focus on the bad. There is enough of that already why make more of it?

Just ignore him - his Pentecostal false doctrine of works-based righteousness makes him act that way in his malice and in the slandering of others in the body of Christ if they don't "agree with his views on a subject" - such as this - " Prince totally rejects what the Bible says about taking communion unworthily. "

He then sees it as his right to slander and malign others that see things differently then he does. Just ignore him and don't interact with him and leave the truth in the hands of the Lord . He will sort us all out.

( In saying that - I consider myself of a Pentecostal background but just don't believe in some of their false beliefs handed down in some of our church denominational teachings )

The Lord is sending His truth of the finished work of Christ to the body of Christ so that we can walk free and manifest His life and fruit to a hurt and dying world that needs to see the love and grace of our loving Father and Lord that is towards them.

The Lord is bringing the knowledge of the glory/goodness of the Lord to all the world. It is the goodness of the Lord that leads us to repentance.

Let's have them be met at the door of our churches by our loving Father and not the older, judgmental brother.
