Revelation 17v18
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.” (New York)

Revelation 17
[SUP]4 [/SUP]The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls,

having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.[SUP][b]

Golden cup
[/SUP] and 7 heads

[SUP]5 [/SUP]And on her forehead a name was written:MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS
OF THE EARTH.

[SUP]6 [/SUP]I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

Revelation 17
[SUP]3 [/SUP]So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Seven Heads

Ten Horns + the little horn (Antichrist), portrayed here as bigger.

Daniel 7v7b-8
It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. [SUP]8 [/SUP]I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.

Now...the fall of Babylon the Great

Revelation 18
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And he cried mightily[SUP][a][/SUP] with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! [SUP]3 [/SUP]For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.”

[SUP]7 [/SUP]In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’ [SUP]8 [/SUP]Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges[SUP][d][/SUP] her.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]“The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, [SUP]10 [/SUP]standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’

[SUP]20 [/SUP]“Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles[SUP][f][/SUP] and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!”

Ezekiel 17 Prophesy: Is the riddle solved in the USA?

17 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, [SUP]2 [/SUP]“Son of man, pose a riddle, and speak a parable to the house of Israel, [SUP]3 [/SUP]and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God:

“A great eagle with large wings and long pinions,
Full of feathers of various colors,
Came to Lebanon
And took from the cedar the highest branch.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]He cropped off its topmost young twig
And carried it to a land of trade;
He set it in a city of merchants.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Then he took some of the seed of the land
And planted it in a fertile field;
He placed it by abundant waters
And set it like a willow tree.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And it grew and became a spreading vine of low stature;
Its branches turned toward him,
But its roots were under it.
So it became a vine,
Brought forth branches,
And put forth shoots.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]“But there was another[SUP][a][/SUP] great eagle with large wings and many feathers;
And behold, this vine bent its roots toward him,
And stretched its branches toward him,
From the garden terrace where it had been planted,
That he might water it.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]It was planted in good soil by many waters, <See revelation 17v1>
To bring forth branches, bear fruit,
And become a majestic vine.”’

[SUP]
9 [/SUP]“Say, ‘Thus says the Lord God:
“Will it thrive?
Will he not pull up its roots,
Cut off its fruit,
And leave it to wither?
All of its spring leaves will wither,
And no great power or many people
Will be needed to pluck it up by its roots.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Behold, it is planted,
Will it thrive?
Will it not utterly wither when the east wind touches it?
It will wither in the garden terrace where it grew.”’”

[SUP]11 [/SUP]Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, [SUP]12 [/SUP]“Say now to the rebellious house: ‘Do you not know what these things mean?’ Tell them, ‘Indeed the king of Babylon went to Jerusalem and took its king and princes, and led them with him to Babylon.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]And he took the king’s offspring, made a covenant with him, and put him under oath. He also took away the mighty of the land, [SUP]14 [/SUP]that the kingdom might be brought low and not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand. [SUP]15 [/SUP]But he rebelled against him by sending his ambassadors to Egypt, that they might give him horses and many people. Will he prosper? Will he who does such things escape? Can he break a covenant and still be delivered?

[SUP]16 [/SUP]‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke—with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die. [SUP]17 [/SUP]Nor will Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company do anything in the war, when they heap up a siege mound and build a wall to cut off many persons. [SUP]18 [/SUP]Since he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, and in fact gave his hand and still did all these things, he shall not escape.’”

[SUP]19 [/SUP]Therefore thus says the Lord God: “As I live, surely My oath which he despised, and My covenant which he broke, I will recompense on his own head. [SUP]20 [/SUP]I will spread My net over him, and he shall be taken in My snare. I will bring him to Babylon and try him there for the treason which he committed against Me. [SUP]21 [/SUP]All his fugitives[SUP][b][/SUP] with all his troops shall fall by the sword, and those who remain shall be scattered to every wind; and you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken.”

[SUP]

22 [/SUP]Thus says the Lord God: “I will take also one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and prominent mountain. [SUP]23 [/SUP]On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it; and it will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. Under it will dwell birds of every sort; in the shadow of its branches they will dwell. [SUP]24 [/SUP]And all the trees of the field shall know that I, the Lord, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the Lord, have spoken and have done it.

_________________________________________________________________________

The Church is going through exactly what Israel went through in the OT. The pattern is being repeated. The final apostasy is the taking away into captivity all those who did not have a love for the Lord, who did not have the love of the Truth.

A remnant of Israel was saved.
A remnant in the Church will be saved.

All those who were called by the Lord's name who broke covenant went into captivity. Ensure that you are not one of them. Take heed the Word of the Lord. Be diligent in regards to your faith.

No. USA do not rule over the world. Not to say New York.

It was Rome.

Meaning that Jews rule the world?

According to John it must be a city, not nation...?

You did not notice? The second half of Ezekiel 17 tells what the first half means
Here is the second half again:

Ezekiel 17

[SUP]11 [/SUP]Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, [SUP]12 [/SUP]“Say now to the rebellious house: ‘Do you not know what these things mean?’ Tell them,Indeed the king of Babylon went to Jerusalem and took its king and princes, and led them with him to Babylon.

[SUP]22 [/SUP]Thus says the Lord God: “I will take also one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out.

Old Testament
1) Israel disobedience lead to their captivity (siege of the Babylonians)
2) They went to Egypt for help (always going back to Egypt for solutions aren't they?)
3) They would die in the midst of Babylon

New Testament
1) Church disobedience is leading to her captivity (siege of the prophetic Babylon see post #2)
2) Church going back to Egypt (willful sinning)
3) They will die in the midst of Babylonian system because of this disobedience, lest they repent. Revelation 18v4 [SUP]4 [/SUP]And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

Yet a remnant will be saved. Verse 22-24. This is the Heavenly Jerusalem.
