Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father until His enemies become His footstool at His second coming as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Matthew 22:44 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Right now, Jesus acts as our mediator between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5

I believe Jesus is God. The Holy Trinity is difficult to understand. One day, we will all understand these mysteries.

And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Matthew 28:18 ESV

What's one thing that a king has that a commoner hasn't? Authority.

I don't think it's necessarily incorrect to refer to Jesus as "King". An analogy I can think of is from the Book of Daniel, where Darius the Mede is called a king. But he was only the ruler of the province of Babylon after Persia conquered it. As far as I know, Darius was under Cyrus the Great, who was the Persian emperor at the time.

In the same way, although Christ is at His Father's right hand, He could still be called a King. :)

Well, to the point that I have put Jesus on the throne of my heart, He is MY king.

1. Jesus is the ONLY king.

2. He has ALWAYS acted as our mediator.

John 18:36,37
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.” 37Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the worldto bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”

John 19:19-22
Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” 20Many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Aramaic, in Latin, and in Greek. 21So the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but rather, ‘This man said, I am King of the Jews.’” 22Pilate answered, “What I have written I have written.”

All judgement has been given to Him, right? So He's sitting on the throne...I would say that too makes Him King.

PS. 2:4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: The Lord shall have them in derision.

Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure.

Yet have I set My King upon My Holy hill of Zion.

I will declare the decree: The LORD hath said unto Me, Thou art My Son; this day have I begotten Thee.

Ask of Me, and I shall give the heathen for Thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth Thy possession.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

Serve The LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

MATT. 2:2.
Saying, Where is He that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen His star in the east,
and are come to worship Him.

21:5.
Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass,
and a colt the foal of an ass.

REV. 17:14.
These shall make war with The Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords,
and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

19:16.
And He hath on vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

PS. 2:12.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when Hs wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.

What's one thing that a king has that a commoner hasn't? Authority.
All authority has been given unto Him, but it's not His time to use that authority.

Trust me, when Jesus is King He will be ruling with a rod of iron. The world will not be in chaos as it is now.

Revelation 5
1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

Who's on the throne holding a book? God the Father. Who takes the book from the Father? The Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus is king of the Kingdom of God, and that is where we are supposed to reside right now. We aren't supposed to be of the world.
