I was wondering, what should a biblical Christian live be like, include, not include.

Obviously not sinning willfully.

But other than that, the list I give is all I can think of at present:

1) read / study Bible.
2) church / fellowship in prayer and study.
3) prayer,

4) applying the lessons of the Bible etc ( understood new sin to avoid etc because of conviction or other? etc).

5) Be humble, forgiving, polite, nice, decent parent/spouse/son/daughter/neighbour etc.

6) Improve knowledge of your job without forgetting God (career minded etc).

7) work through your salvation with fear & trembling, not hoarding or desiring anything except to please God.

That's about it.

Anyone see anything that is biblically added to this that is not self-indulgent or other etc?

Please add and number if so, thanks.
Getting depressed feeling people are luke-warm with somewhat normal ish lives, as I'm thinking I'm the only person who thinks this.

Your list is great and includes the main points fo sho!
If you are doing all of the above never let anyone tell you that you're luke-warm far from it!
God bless you keep grinding!

Here is what i'll add:

REST! Rest in Christ.

Trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour that by believing in Him you are saved and trust Jesus Christ as your Good Shepherd that by believing in Him that He will help you to follow Him as His disciples to bear fruit so that your joy may be full.

I have difficulty with that one as I have no idea what it's like to enjoy "the promised land". Or what it is other than Heaven.

I find it hard to rest, with so many unanswered questions. Also, I only put the list down to see what else can be added. I'm not a great evangelist and I'm trying to not have a snappy attitude, a bit of a problem for me.

Love your neighbour as yourself. This is the hardest of all the above points mentioned above that I find to do.

Nothing wrong with the list so far but it is woefully incomplete.
IMHO this is a FAR too passive approach to Christianity!

Christians are called to minister, to be witnesses.
The foundational text for the church is the Great Commission.

So far all the suggestions are a variation of what can God do for me...
The real question is what can I do for God...

I don't think the Lord has a pre-approved list of things we can do. He just wants us to refrain from sinning.

Peter outlines it pretty good:

2 Peter 1:5-11
...applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in
your moral excellence, knowledge, 6and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, 7and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. 8For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. 10Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; 11for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.

If someone thinks it has to look a certain way, they probably will never live it.

Even though you are a Christian and will serve God for the rest of your life, even then, Idk if this is actually in the Bible (I imagine it probably is, though), but I think it's best not to take everything so seriously. Case in point...me.

It's a state of life... rest. It's the place where we dont have to work to please God, a place where sin is no longer the focus of our relationship with God, it's pure freedom because the battle is the Lords and not mine.

'Fear God and keep His Commandments, for this is the WHOLE duty of man.''

yeah, this is the crux for all who have NOT been 'called-chosen-elected'...

True, but I'm basically winging it on my own. Because the church I go to is only open for me Sunday or work hours, roughly. I'm the only Christian around I know. Also, most of the people here probably don't even manage this list, including me (8) evangelising etc.

So I find it depressing that others also are potentially "luke-warm". I think we should probably be more like the "Roman Christians" of old. Just doing it and not being embarrassed or weak. Though I don't think they were alone individuals, probably small fellowships all day, anytime etc, next door neighbours and travellers together.

Also, the Bible says I'm not allowed to be a preacher, only an evangelist (not a clean family man). So I find it difficult to see the difference. I'm such a wuss in my awkward opinion. Alot of Americans have it easier with this as they are brought up with church. UK people are mostly not. The church is mostly invisible here.
