To truly understand the post for this thread I hope you all can take the time to hear this song
I know what it feels like to feel alone and to be taken by the heavy tides of life to the point of utter darkness and simply crying out to God WHERE ARE YOU!? and then hearing this song as if he responded to me directly.

The beauty of this song is not just in the timing it tends to appear to me but rather the message that it speaks as if it was God himself brings me to tears even as I am writing this. The image that it sends to my heart feels as if my heart and soul have been pierced by a white hot blade and the love that the blade is infused with just floods out endlessly like the tears that I know many others like myself have flooded themselves with.

Empathy is word used to describe the ability to emotionally connect to others and be able to place themselves in their shoes, and this is something I have been gifted in as a believer which can be both a blessing and a curse. I am able to write about people never knowing them or even knowing the struggles they go through and yet as I am writing about them I can feel what they feel I can write about their thoughts and struggles as if they were my own especially so when it comes to the hurt and the pain and sadness and mental spiritual and emotional struggles they go through.

One thing that breaks my heart and floods my soul with sorrow is knowing what a broken sorrowful and tear drenched soul feel like, as if they have shed so many tears that a wet and tearful soul that is only drenched in absolute sorrow can describe their hearts. It is these hearts I felt as I listened to this song today and it is these hearts I know that this song was written was for. God is not simply a God who is all knowing he is the very definition of empathy he doesn't just know what we are going through he feels it and lives it at the very same time we do, our tears are his tears our sorrow is his sorrow our pain is his pain. when we are in tears he even at his own throne is also drenched in tears when out hearts are absolutely and abundantly filled with sorrow his heart is as well.

Sorrow is a word used a lot but the meaning of it is not simply sadness but the deepest kind of sadness the kind that only one who has known that kind of depth of sadness can truly use this word and truly relate to it. To truly understand why we seek to be strong in Christ and to truly understand why we seek so exhaustively to be strong in love and to truly understand the depth the meaning of such words empathy is needed because otherwise it is simply a set of words that the average Christian says.

The reason and motive of the heart just like everything else in life is always the deciding factor but even more so as a follower of Christ, to some of us we speak of seeking to be strong in Christ and in love but it is simply a set of beliefs we have and merely words to us but others when we speak these words there is profound meaning and purpose to them it is not simply something we are called to do and say and be it is the words and the reason burned in our hearts.
