before vatican second counsel, she believe there is no salvation out site catholic

after, she believe Islam and Jew are save

it mean she admit pope before second counsel was wrong in teaching, need correction

is she still maintain the doctrine of the infabillity of pope? Or unaware to realized coughs lying

The whole thing kind of odd to me, on another thread someone mentioned that the word catholic means universal why create a word for another word is weird pointless, the universal church or just plain church is enough IMO. reading between the lines and another odd thing I see.

Cat -- are nocturnal animals

Holic -- means unusual behaviors

catholic = nocturnal unusual behavior

I don't know much about the catholic religion - I do know there are true Christians in there just like in every denomination that speaks of Christ's work.

There are many people that believe their "pastor" and what their "denomination believes " is infallible too so it's a common humanistic trait that is "universal"....pardon the pun.

I completely agree there are lots of folks probably the vast amount of them are true Christians, i look at things on what is the purpose of things like what i mentioned the need to add a name to church etc., was someone tempted to create such a word for another word, did this start the vast amount of denomination is this a fancy word for division or worse demonization. this maybe extreme but gee I jut don't get all the denoms out there hundreds and hundreds of them,

well that's the point I making, what's the purpose of that, isn't the word universal good enough, this word was coined in the early 2nd century how did this person form the word? what made the person think of changing a word to another word was it a slide of hand two words added together to form catholic. I mean it is odd, further more it is what a lot of what the doctrine does unusual practices. aka behavior.

I don't believe Christians should worship any man other then the Lord Jesus Christ.

I think every denomination has their own :unique "Mary-like beliefs" that are not true Christian at the core and live by their own interpretation of the scriptures and also their own traditions..

Well the bible does say many will be deceived, blinded of the truth. if a denomination wanted to hide the small theorized details the way to do it is by creating a vast network of practices and orders etc. if I use a comparison of the these two Pharisees practices and Catholic practices there's not much difference IMO, one had a high priest the other has a pope, with a bunch of under class levels, call the paster Father ask him forgiveness, really a bunch of non sense.

I am no aware if other denomination has Mary like believe, but ar least, they declare Bible as the only text book, Rcc declare not only base on the Bible,

also so the problem is they declare pope infallible in moral an teaching, mean the teaching always right, than why there is change in teaching before and after second counsel 1965.

I doubt that all Catholics believe the pope is infallible.
Mat 7:21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Only the Lord can sort out the false professors from the real deal. Tares and wheat or goats and sheep the Lord knows His own from the counterfeit.

The actual teaching from Rome is that the pope is only infallible when he speaks ex cathedra or from the chair. Rome has a special throne from which the edicts are given if they are to be absolute. It is possible for the pope to err as long as he is not speaking ex cathedra.

For the cause of Christ

Here's something I've seen, now I'm not saying the pope messed up was wrong or anything but none the less would this be something Jesus would have done, if a small child took jesus hat He was wearing I don't believe He would have automatically try and get it back. this a example of man doctrine can't go without a bonnet on the head. I mean surely the pope has many hats.

infallible would have gladly let the child have the hat, I mean it's just a hat good grief really. let the child have the hat, we shouldn't be so quick to react to things, surely quick to think and slow to speak or react is of virtue.

I find it hilarious that their very name contradicts the truth....the word translated church by it's very nature means a local, visible body (assembly)

So...their name = a Universal Local visible (assembly) body.....

I have friends and family that are Catholic........they believe they can pay for sins, pay to have the priest pray dead relatives into heaven, that the POPE is God's VICAR on the earth and his words are equal with God, one must be in the Catholic church or they are lost, one must do the 7 sacraments or they are lost...etc.....

Nothing but a cult.....

I doubt that all Catholics believe the pope is infallible.
it is in her official doctrine

Papal infallibility is a dogma of the Catholic Church that states that, in virtue of the promise of Jesus to Peter, the Pope is preserved from the possibility of error "when, in the exercise of his office as shepherd and teacher of all Christians, in virtue of his supreme apostolic authority, he defines a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the whole Church."[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP]
This doctrine was defined dogmatically in the First Vatican Council of 1869–1870, but had been defended before that, existing already in medieval theology and being the majority opinion at the time of the Counter-Reformation.[SUP][3][/SUP]

the assembly church aka the universal church consists of all those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free and we were all given the one Spirit to drink (1 Corinthians 12:13). This verse says that anyone who believes is part of the body of Christ and has received the Spirit of Christ as evidence. The universal church of God is all those who have received salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. seems pretty simple to me, I guess one could call the denominations the local church in the area but to call these universal churches isn't quite correct.
