Let’s examine the approximate 20,000 people Jesus fed in Galilee with 2 fish and 5 loafs. A year later He returned and discovered they as a collective group had not forsaken their sinful ways, despite His miracles, and said the generation of Nehemiah would stand in judgement against them because they repented but ye repent not.
20,000?
More like the possibility of 6- 8,000 people, nothing near 20,000.

What is amazing too, is that the 2 fish are symbolic for the 2 witnesses (the saintly believers, when 2 or more are gathered in His name), that would come in the gospel age. And 5, the biblical number for grace, that God would later dispense through them after Pentecost, as they gathered up the remaining fragments that they shouldn’t be lost (bringing in yhr sheaves, the gathering of the faithful ecclesia in the gospel age), and placed them into 12 baskets (the number of God’s government) that they should stand in judgement against the wicked at the last day of fiery indignation, when His office of redeemer shall have closed, having put all opposition to His Government under His feet, and so shall be the kingdom delivered back up to God…….be blessed
I don't know where you got this from, but it's totally wrong, my friend.:)

There's symbolism in the parables, but not in the regular writing.

Not so long ago I was first introduced to what that means even though I've been a believer since 1982. It's being IN Christ having Jesus be "our Person" standing in "for us". After that, it's a daily journey about seeing just how much Jesus actually stands in for us. Many Christians are like I was and still proceeded a head in life in and about "self"

When we were not saved., Adam was our stand-in guy. We went before God in Adam and were not even in God's beloved family. So all our righteousness's were as filthy rags. We didn't even do anything but be born and live and become aware of God. We didn't do any good things or bad things we were just in Adam and outside of Christ. So when we heard the Gospel of our salvation that Jesus went on the cross on our behalf and died shedding His blood we learned He paid for all our sins making us totally worthy to go before the Father and to be recipients of His grace and truth forever after.

I was reading yet again of how majorly important the knowledge of being righteous IN Christ is. Actually I read it daily and because it is so shockingly unearthly I often forget it in my human self if I don't read it daily and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to my spirit that I am a son of God. But the Bible says to be aware of Christ's obedience at the cross. Most of us are living lives of being aware of our own obedience.

We have been taught to look at 'our' obedience and it has become a religious past time. Actually it is fought about among people who are Christians every day. I see it on these forums on CC all the time and actually whenever I come here the forums are slathered with believers who fight to look at their own righteousness and want others to look at their own righteousness. And even believe it's unholy to look to Christ's obedience and not our own as our pass port to God's hand in everything we are and do in our lives here while on earth.

In reading yesterdays devotional it reminded me yet again and I neeed to be reminded again and again because in my humaness I am distorted and negative. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:5

Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

That verse does not mean as most of us have been taught from day one in our Christian lives to cast down arguments and evil things by learning to think like Jesus. No., that comes later. What that verse does mean is when we fail., when life is fearful and when things in this world become and are overwhelming bigger than our ability to fix in all areas of our lives personally., corporately and universally., the answer is to bring our thoughts into captivity and think instead about the obedience of Christ. Romans 5:19 says;

For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.

Many of us continue to be mislead into thinking it's by our obedience we have been made righteous. I see the devil do this all the time with people of faith. he wants us to look at ourselves and then he can freely condemn us because who knows better than us how loathsome we really are? Yet., because we are not IN Christ and 100% righteous and 100% IN the family now we are no longer our standard. Adam is no longer our standard bearer. Jesus is. There is no condemnation to those who are IN Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1-2 Because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

This truth will free the persons who take it to live a life of faith. And in that we will bear a lot of fruit because it's the fruit of the Spirit not the fruit of the flesh. In living by the Spirit we will be walking testimonies of what Jesus has done in our lives and the good works come as an effect of our right standing IN Christ. Not our right standing in ourselves.

I hope to challenge many here in the Bible forum to consider this and see how different your Christian life will be when you are actually looking to Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Hold your horses. What you are accusing someone of is very serious, you do know that is the UNPARDONABLE sin? Extremely serious accusation here. You are claiming over the internet that someone cannot be saved anymore. Stop.
All is well...:)... Scripture is clear that sin was put on Jesus on the cross and we have now become the righteousness of God in Christ.

Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1 Peter 2:24 (NASB)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

The gospel of the grace of God in Christ will always be a stumbling block to those of us that think we can "do our own righteousness."

The gospel message is the "righteousness of God revealed."

Romans 1:16-17 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

[SUP]17 [/SUP] For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

Romans 5:17 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

So, since I heard that this thread just recently became rather trendy on CC, and I don't have the motivation or time to read 40 pages of arguments, what's up, people?

Hi WineRose, I just re posted the OP for you. Would love to have you give your thoughts.

Thank you Grace777 for helping get the topic back on track again. And as always, thank you for posting the pertinent Bible verses.

It was said is not in scripture.....notwithstanding, He suffered greatly by the hands and the wrath of wicked people not God.
sin cannot overcome sin, its totally impossible..never go to one unclear verse in scripture to formulate doctrine, but rather go to clear verses to define unclear verses....He was a without spot and blameless sin-offering, not sin, and was acceptable by God in that He appeased the Fathers mercy which triumphs over HIS wrath, on our behalf, not in our place, that we might be reconciled back to His favor through repentance, at the atoning mercy seat of God (our propitiation)....Jesus is the mercy seat of God our propitiation, in no way could sin be a propitiation for sin......be blessed
You want to tell the Jews they don't know what they are talking about? lol....

...Why did I just happen to know that I will be bashed here like this... :/
Just ignore them and forgive them. They don't know what they are doing....All is well...:)..

You are God's righteous one because Christ has made you righteous and He loves you dearly.

i don't know why you insist upon numbering yourself among the wicked Magnita...They are contrasted against the righteous on every page of the text....Isaiah was speaking to the nation of Israel as a whole, whose religious works were as filthy rags to God, because they were still in rebellion to Him, then he contrasts them against the righteous....please take your pet scriptures that you think supports sin, and then read them in the whole context of the chapter... the righteous are always contrasted against the wicked, yet you always number yourself among the wicked......sinners or saints:confused:, can't be both, because they are the opposite in the text......
Why would you say I think Scriptures support sin? You are the one numbering me among the wicked. Jesus numbers me among those found righteous through faith in Christ :)

For the record, Scriptures support the fact of the existence of sin.
Yes, I affirm that :)

For the record, sin is condemned in Scripture.
Yes, I support that :)

Anyone who says I believe Scriptures support sin
in any other way is misstating something horribly.

I said approx. 20,000 Stephan…maybe it was 15,000, or maybe 24,000, who knows? That number is just guess on my part, and has nothing to do with the symbols in the parable I mentioned..There were 5,000 men PLUS women and children. It is no great stretch to perceive that each family could consist of 2 or more children, even Jesus Himself had 7 siblings..I’m sure there we some bachelors present no doubt, but their most likely were families consisting of many members too ,I would suppose….be blessed always

You say by your own words that yours works are as filthy rags. I didn't say this, you did. On the contrary, our works done in faith are as white robes before the Lord, only the wicked present works of filthy rags. (do you want to number yourself among them?)..maybe you dont understand what you say about yourself. Many were trained by the popular Pundits of Christianity to parrot the filthy rags Christian mantra 24/7 of which is a oxymoron, because no true Christian presents the works of filthy rags..Of course many call themselves the wretched man, and chief of sinners also which is another oxymoron.Paul said he was FORMERLY in times past the chief of sinners, before His 3 day repentance in Damascus, not presently, because he said there was no blame found in himself. I should hopes your works done in faith are as white unspotted garments (white robes), and not filthy rags in the presence of the Lord......be blessed

Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is giving credit to Satan for the works done of God, said Jesus to he Pharisees. It is only unpardonable if not repented of by the way.....if one hardens their heart to the truth to the point that they can no longer repent, then it becomes the unpardonable sin...by the way; this man Grace777, is severely deceived and deceiving others. Deceived people dont know when they are deceived and under strong delusion. I hope he repents and comes to the light.......be blessed

You really don't understand why Magenta (not magnita) would say that scripture? Past...the past. Nothing of flesh will come before the Lord.

She knows who and and what she is. Talk about twisting words.
