Ex28:26-43
26 "You shall make two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on the edge of it, which is on the inner side of the ephod.
27 And two other rings of gold you shall make, and put them on the two shoulder straps, underneath the ephod toward its front, right at the seam above the intricately woven band of the ephod.
28 They shall bind the breastplate by means of its rings to the rings of the ephod, using a blue cord, so that it is above the intricately woven band of the ephod, and so that the breastplate does not come loose from the ephod.
29 So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgment over his heart, when he goes into the holy place, as a memorial before the Lord continually.
30 And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be over Aaron's heart when he goes in before the Lord. So Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel over his heart before the Lord continually.
31 "You shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
32 There shall be an opening for his head in the middle of it; it shall have a woven binding all around its opening, like the opening in a coat of mail, so that it does not tear.
33 "And upon its hem you shall make pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet, all around its hem, and bells of gold between them all around:
34 a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe all around.
35 And it shall be upon Aaron when he ministers, and its sound will be heard when he goes into the holy place before the Lord and when he comes out, that he may not die.
36 "You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet: HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
37 And you shall put it on a blue cord, that it may be on the turban; it shall be on the front of the turban.
38 So it shall be on Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.
39 "You shall skillfully weave the tunic of fine linen thread, you shall make the turban of fine linen, and you shall make the sash of woven work.
40 "For Aaron's sons you shall make tunics, and you shall make sashes for them. And you shall make hats for them, for glory and beauty.
41 So you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him. You shall anoint them, consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister to Me as priests.
42 And you shall make for them linen trousers to cover their nakedness; they shall reach from the waist to the thighs.
43 They shall be on Aaron and on his sons when they come into the tabernacle of meeting, or when they come near the altar to minister in the holy place, that they do not incur iniquity and die. It shall be a statute forever to him and his descendants after him.
These are just ramblings on Ex. 28:33-35.
If pomegranates symbolize knowledge,
If blue symbolizes our Lord Jesus Christ,
If purple symbolizes majesty,
If scarlet symbolizes sacrifice,
If the gold of the golden bells symbolizes divine,
Then the blue, purple, and scarlet pomegranates symbolize our Lord Jesus Christ or our need to understand or have knowledge of the truth,
and the golden bells symbolize GOD.
If one then considers the hem of Aaron's robe, it could represent a warning.
There are many who go into the ministry these days as a vocation instead of a calling. There are some who don't really believe in what they're teaching but it's a paycheck. The Bible is, to them, only something they cherry-pick in order to augment their next sermon.
But the hem of Aaron's robe says keep knowledge, learn of me, know me, have all understanding. The golden bells are GOD saying, "ring-a-ding, ring-a-ding, learn of me. If you don't, you will die." It doesn't mean the death of the flesh. The Bible teaches us that the death of the flesh is nothing. It's the death of the soul or eternal damnation. Those folks who go into the ministry who are not called are risking EVERYTHING. Because they're not just responsible for their own errs. They're also responsible for all the souls of those who, through their own lack of knowledge, have led to err from the path of truth.

Ex 37
1 Then Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood; two and a half cubits was its length, a cubit and a half its width, and a cubit and a half its height.
2 He overlaid it with pure gold inside and outside, and made a molding of gold all around it.
3 And he cast for it four rings of gold to be set in its four corners: two rings on one side, and two rings on the other side of it.
4 He made poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.
5 And he put the poles into the rings at the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.
6 He also made the mercy seat of pure gold; two and a half cubits was its length and a cubit and a half its width.
7 He made two cherubim of beaten gold; he made them of one piece at the two ends of the mercy seat:
8 one cherub at one end on this side, and the other cherub at the other end on that side. He made the cherubim at the two ends of one piece with the mercy seat.
9 The cherubim spread out their wings above, and covered the mercy seat with their wings. They faced one another; the faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy seat.

10 He made the table of acacia wood; two cubits was its length, a cubit its width, and a cubit and a half its height.
11 And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made a molding of gold all around it.
12 Also he made a frame of a handbreadth all around it, and made a molding of gold for the frame all around it.
13 And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings on the four corners that were at its four legs.
14 The rings were close to the frame, as holders for the poles to bear the table.
15 And he made the poles of acacia wood to bear the table, and overlaid them with gold.
16 He made of pure gold the utensils which were on the table: its dishes, its cups, its bowls, and its pitchers for pouring.
17 He also made the lampstand of pure gold; of hammered work he made the lampstand. Its shaft, its branches, its bowls, its ornamental knobs, and its flowers were of the same piece.
18 And six branches came out of its sides: three branches of the lampstand out of one side, and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side.
19 There were three bowls made like almond blossoms on one branch, with an ornamental knob and a flower, and three bowls made like almond blossoms on the other branch, with an ornamental knob and a flower--and so for the six branches coming out of the lampstand.
20 And on the lampstand itself were four bowls made like almond blossoms, each with its ornamental knob and flower.
21 There was a knob under the first two branches of the same, a knob under the second two branches of the same, and a knob under the third two branches of the same, according to the six branches extending from it.
22 Their knobs and their branches were of one piece; all of it was one hammered piece of pure gold.
23 And he made its seven lamps, its wick-trimmers, and its trays of pure gold.
24 Of a talent of pure gold he made it, with all its utensils.
25 He made the incense altar of acacia wood. Its length was a cubit and its width a cubit--it was square--and two cubits was its height. Its horns were of one piece with it.
26 And he overlaid it with pure gold: its top, its sides all around, and its horns. He also made for it a molding of gold all around it.
27 He made two rings of gold for it under its molding, by its two corners on both sides, as holders for the poles with which to bear it.
28 And he made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.
29 He also made the holy anointing oil and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the perfumer.

Though little is said on this chapter as a whole, on teacher informs us, "Due to this chapters clear message, their is little to say. Yet in all it brings to a close the time spent at Sinai. Giving us a look at the construction, it's furnishing, and vessels, that make up both the essence, and teachings of the Sanctuary."
One other tells us, "These vessels symbolize the purpose of the Exodus. There Holiness should be a reflection of the Patriarchs, and Matriarchs whose homes and very beings were suffused with the holiness that must always be central to us."

Ex 40

1 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 "On the first day of the first month you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.
3 You shall put in it the ark of the Testimony, and partition off the ark with the veil.

We do well to understand that the Most Holy place is were the ark is placed. The reason we must keep this in ind is that the lamps of the Menorah were cleaned everyday. Some have used this to try and place a contrition in scripture, by stateing that only the High Priest was to go in and only once a year.

4 You shall bring in the table and arrange the things that are to be set in order on it; and you shall bring in the lampstand and light its lamps.
5 You shall also set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the Testimony, and put up the screen for the door of the tabernacle.

Most of the drawings that are seen of the inside of the Tabernacle have the alter of incense on the out side of the Most Holy place. This does seem to the teaching of most of the sages, as well as the understanding of the Temple Institute. Although there is some debate over how the High Priest worked inside the temple, when he went in to make Atonement for the nation. Some think He simply pulled open the curtain to the M.H.P. making the whole of the inside the M.H.P. Others seem to think he would pull them over the alter of incense to bring the 2 face to face.

6 Then you shall set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.
7 And you shall set the laver between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
8 You shall set up the court all around, and hang up the screen at the court gate.
9 And you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it; and you shall hallow it and all its utensils, and it shall be holy.
10 You shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar. The altar shall be most holy.
11 And you shall anoint the laver and its base, and consecrate it.
12 Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of meeting and wash them with water.
13 You shall put the holy garments on Aaron, and anoint him and consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest.
14 And you shall bring his sons and clothe them with tunics.
15 You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to Me as priests; for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations."
16 Thus Moses did; according to all that the Lord had commanded him, so he did.
17 And it came to pass in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was raised up.
18 So Moses raised up the tabernacle, fastened its sockets, set up its boards, put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.
19 And he spread out the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
20 He took the Testimony and put it into the ark, inserted the poles through the rings of the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark.
21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, hung up the veil of the covering, and partitioned off the ark of the Testimony, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
22 He put the table in the tabernacle of meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil;
23 and he set the bread in order upon it before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
24 He put the lampstand in the tabernacle of meeting, across from the table, on the south side of the tabernacle;
25 and he lit the lamps before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
26 He put the gold altar in the tabernacle of meeting in front of the veil;
27 and he burned sweet incense on it, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
28 He hung up the screen at the door of the tabernacle.
29 And he put the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the grain offering, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
30 He set the laver between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar, and put water there for washing;
31 and Moses, Aaron, and his sons would wash their hands and their feet with water from it.
32 Whenever they went into the tabernacle of meeting, and when they came near the altar, they washed, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
33 And he raised up the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the screen of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.
34 Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
35 And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
36 Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys.
37 But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up.
38 For the cloud of the Lord was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

Leviticus chapter 1-7 are being skipped. The sacrificial system holds nothing for us today. Though there are things to be learned from a study of them, I don't have the time to get into them. I will be back tomorrow with a bit from chapter 8.
First however we must understand why the sacrificial system was removed, as well as when.
Psa 40:6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire;
My ears You have opened.
Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.

It is understood that this Psalm was written by King David. So it becomes clear that even then this was not a thing HaShem wanted. So what was wanted?
Hos 6:6 For I desire mercy and not sacrifice,
And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

HaShem said,
Jer 7:22 “For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices.

Some use this to try and show that the Bible in conflict with its self. This comes from a lack of understanding. Let me explain.
One thing that many don't know, or understand is what the sacrificial was really about. It had more to do with given the people an understanding of HaShem than anything. It showed us the price for sin, not forgiveness, True it did COVER sin, though as we all know or should, that is not the same as washing away sin.
Even as we read about them, in great detail in Lev. that is not what was being followed. As with many forms of power, it can corrupt any that holds it. The system HaShem gave to Israel, (as stated above) was to show them Who He is. If the teachings that were meant to be passed on, had remained in-tacked, they would have know Yeshua when he was walking with them. Rabbinic Law had removed, (with out intent) the teachings that were meant to be passed down.
This is what lead to the plea in Hos. 6:6. The people were not only walking in sin, they had no idea that is what they were doing. As we all know, Yeshua rebuked the teachings of the Pressies, every time they asked Him something. Well ok almost every time. It was for this same reason, their teachings had left the true meaning and intent of Torah. It had became something that followed the teachings or traditions of man, (even if the root of that teaching come from Torah) as can be clearly seen in the following.
Isa 29:13 Therefore the Lord said:
“Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths
And honor Me with their lips,
But have removed their hearts far from Me,
And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,

Mat 15:7
“Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
Mat 15:8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And
honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
Mat 15:9
And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching
as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”

Teaching more from my Biblical and Israeli history teacher, with a bit from my Biblical Law teacher.

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 "Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, the anointing oil, a bull as the sin offering, two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread;
3 and gather all the congregation together at the door of the tabernacle of meeting."
4 So Moses did as the Lord commanded him. And the congregation was gathered together at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.
5 And Moses said to the congregation, "This is what the Lord commanded to be done."
6 Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons and washed them with water.
7 And he put the tunic on him, girded him with the sash, clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod on him; and he girded him with the intricately woven band of the ephod, and with it tied the ephod on him.
8 Then he put the breastplate on him, and he put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastplate.
9 And he put the turban on his head. Also on the turban, on its front, he put the golden plate, the holy crown, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
10 Also Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and consecrated them.
11 He sprinkled some of it on the altar seven times, anointed the altar and all its utensils, and the laver and its base, to consecrate them.
12 And he poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron's head and anointed him, to consecrate him.
13 Then Moses brought Aaron's sons and put tunics on them, girded them with sashes, and put hats on them, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
14 And he brought the bull for the sin offering. Then Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull for the sin offering,
15 and Moses killed it. Then he took the blood, and put some on the horns of the altar all around with his finger, and purified the altar. And he poured the blood at the base of the altar, and consecrated it, to make atonement for it.
16 Then he took all the fat that was on the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat, and Moses burned them on the altar.
17 But the bull, its hide, its flesh, and its offal, he burned with fire outside the camp, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
18 Then he brought the ram as the burnt offering. And Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram,

There are some that will say the reason for the placing ones hands on the head of any sin sacrifice was to show that your sins are being placed on the beast. Others say it is so that you feel the life leave the beast, and understand the price for sin. No mater what anyone tells us, (with all do respect to all my teachers) this is a matter of debate, and one that seems to follow many others. In that there seems to be no end to it.

19 and Moses killed it. Then he sprinkled the blood all around on the altar.
20 And he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burned the head, the pieces, and the fat.
21 Then he washed the entrails and the legs in water. And Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
22 And he brought the second ram, the ram of consecration. Then Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram,
23 and Moses killed it. Also he took some of its blood and put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

The ear shows that one should lessen to the voice of HaShem and only to Him. The foot shows that one should always walk in obedience to HaShem, even what it seems the hardest way to live ones life.

24 Then he brought Aaron's sons. And Moses put some of the blood on the tips of their right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. And Moses sprinkled the blood all around on the altar.
25 Then he took the fat and the fat tail, all the fat that was on the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, the two kidneys and their fat, and the right thigh;
26 and from the basket of unleavened bread that was before the Lord he took one unleavened cake, a cake of bread anointed with oil, and one wafer, and put them on the fat and on the right thigh;
27 and he put all these in Aaron's hands and in his sons' hands, and waved them as a wave offering before the Lord.
28 Then Moses took them from their hands and burned them on the altar, on the burnt offering. They were consecration offerings for a sweet aroma. That was an offering made by fire to the Lord.
29 And Moses took the breast and waved it as a wave offering before the Lord. It was Moses' part of the ram of consecration, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
30 Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood which was on the altar, and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on the garments of his sons with him; and he consecrated Aaron, his garments, his sons, and the garments of his sons with him.
31 And Moses said to Aaron and his sons, "Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and eat it there with the bread that is in the basket of consecration offerings, as I commanded, saying, 'Aaron and his sons shall eat it.'
32 What remains of the flesh and of the bread you shall burn with fire.
33 And you shall not go outside the door of the tabernacle of meeting for seven days, until the days of your consecration are ended. For seven days he shall consecrate you.
34 As he has done this day, so the Lord has commanded to do, to make atonement for you.
35 Therefore you shall stay at the door of the tabernacle of meeting day and night for seven days, and keep the charge of the Lord, so that you may not die; for so I have been commanded."
36 So Aaron and his sons did all the things that the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses.

Leviticus chapter 10
1
Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them.
2 So fire went out from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.
3 And Moses said to Aaron, "This is what the Lord spoke, saying: 'By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified.' " So Aaron held his peace.

Though there is some debate over why the fire was profane, (some translations say wrong or strange). Ranging from coals taken from from a fire used to worship ideals, to them being drunk at the time. No matter what we may think or say, it comes down to being disobedient. One thing is made clear, if ever we hope to stand before HaShem, we must seen as Holy in His eyes.

4 And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, "Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp."
5 So they went near and carried them by their tunics out of the camp, as Moses had said.
6 And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons, "Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the people. But let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord has kindled.
7 You shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die, for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you." And they did according to the word of Moses.

Some teach that if Aaron and his sons had grieved it may be taken as a sign they disagreed with HaShem. Others say it was due to their needing to stay in the tabernacle for 7 days, and that time wasn't up.

8 Then the Lord spoke to Aaron, saying:
9 "Do not drink wine or intoxicating drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations,
10 that you may distinguish between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean,
11 and that you may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord has spoken to them by the hand of Moses."

It is from this section of the chapter that one gets the idea they had been drinking. We should also take note that some will teach that this passage speaks to knowing the difference between ceremonially clean and unclean only. In fact some translations use wording to back that idea. Yet when seen in context with the whole of the chapter, it doesn't seem to be that way at all. The sages teach that if one wishes to teach Torah, (or any part of The Word) they must do so with a clear mind. We today may not think anything of a pastor teaching when he has taken pain meds, yet they can cloud ones mind.
It is also at this point that something is seen most don't give much thought to. HaShem spoke to Aaron directly. This may be a sign that HaShem accepted Aaron, due mostly to Aaron's silents regarding his sons.

12 And Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons who were left: "Take the grain offering that remains of the offerings made by fire to the Lord, and eat it without leaven beside the altar; for it is most holy.
13 You shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your due and your sons' due, of the sacrifices made by fire to the Lord; for so I have been commanded.
14 The breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering you shall eat in a clean place, you, your sons, and your daughters with you; for they are your due and your sons' due, which are given from the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.
15 The thigh of the heave offering and the breast of the wave offering they shall bring with the offerings of fat made by fire, to offer as a wave offering before the Lord. And it shall be yours and your sons' with you, by a statute forever, as the Lord has commanded."
16 Then Moses made careful inquiry about the goat of the sin offering, and there it was--burned up. And he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron who were left, saying,
17 "Why have you not eaten the sin offering in a holy place, since it is most holy, and God has given it to you to bear the guilt of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord?
18 See! Its blood was not brought inside the holy place; indeed you should have eaten it in a holy place, as I commanded."
19 And Aaron said to Moses, "Look, this day they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the Lord, and such things have befallen me! If I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been accepted in the sight of the Lord?"
20 So when Moses heard that, he was content.

The sages use the word onen. This most likely denotes the altered state of mind one encounters upon hearing of the death of a loved one. The idea that this may have been the reason for Aaron and his remaining sons didn't eat the offering is why Moses approved of them not eating. After all, Aaron had just been told by HaShem that he must know the difference between right and wrong. Also keep in mind that if they had sinned when making the offering, the offering it's self would have been unacceptable. Thus to eat it, would have been as well.

Leviticus 11
1 Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them,
2 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying, 'These are the animals which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth:
3 Among the animals, whatever divides the hoof, having cloven hooves and chewing the cud--that you may eat.
4 Nevertheless these you shall not eat among those that chew the cud or those that have cloven hooves: the camel, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you;
5 the rock hyrax, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you;
6 the hare, because it chews the cud but does not have cloven hooves, is unclean to you;
7 and the swine, though it divides the hoof, having cloven hooves, yet does not chew the cud, is unclean to you.
8 Their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch. They are unclean to you.

This is a point of contention with many in the world. I my self, (though it isn't easy were I am) work hard to follow the dietary laws. If for on other reason that it is a healthy way to eat. As one teacher puts it, "Everything on the DON"T eat list can be seen as the custodians of the world, they remove other dead animals, from the earth. As for the unclear things listed from the sea, they also remove unwanted fecal mater, and dead fish from the waters." That is enough for me not to eat them.

9 'These you may eat of all that are in the water: whatever in the water has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers--that you may eat.
10 But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you.
11 They shall be an abomination to you; you shall not eat their flesh, but you shall regard their carcasses as an abomination.
12 Whatever in the water does not have fins or scales--that shall be an abomination to you.

Given what was stated above, there are fish that have both fins and scales that do eat other fish. This in the teachings of some has been used as to discredit any teaching that tells others to follow this diet. At the end of this chapter we will look at both sides of the debate.

13 'And these you shall regard as an abomination among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, the vulture, the buzzard,
14 the kite, and the falcon after its kind;
15 every raven after its kind,
16 the ostrich, the short-eared owl, the sea gull, and the hawk after its kind;
17 the little owl, the fisher owl, and the screech owl;
18 the white owl, the jackdaw, and the carrion vulture;
19 the stork, the heron after its kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.
20 'All flying insects that creep on all fours shall be an abomination to you.
21 Yet these you may eat of every flying insect that creeps on all fours: those which have jointed legs above their feet with which to leap on the earth.
22 These you may eat: the locust after its kind, the destroying locust after its kind, the cricket after its kind, and the grasshopper after its kind.
23 But all other flying insects which have four feet shall be an abomination to you.

Not being much for eating bird of any kind, makes it a little easier to follow this. I simple don't like bird. As one reads this, they soon find that it is much harder to understand what birds are ok by this diet, and what arn't. Although with some work, it can become clear. One teacher makes the claim that if a bird doesn't eat meat of anykind then it is good for food. Yet another may say that chicken is unclean. Even though a chicken does eat bugs, should we call it unclean? After all, most birds do eat bugs. So with that line of logic all birds would be unclean.

24 'By these you shall become unclean; whoever touches the carcass of any of them shall be unclean until evening;
25 whoever carries part of the carcass of any of them shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening:
26 The carcass of any animal which divides the foot, but is not cloven-hoofed or does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. Everyone who touches it shall be unclean.
27 And whatever goes on its paws, among all kinds of animals that go on all fours, those are unclean to you. Whoever touches any such carcass shall be unclean until evening.
28 Whoever carries any such carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening. It is unclean to you.
29 'These also shall be unclean to you among the creeping things that creep on the earth: the mole, the mouse, and the large lizard after its kind;
30 the gecko, the monitor lizard, the sand reptile, the sand lizard, and the chameleon.
31 These are unclean to you among all that creep. Whoever touches them when they are dead shall be unclean until evening.
32 Anything on which any of them falls, when they are dead shall be unclean, whether it is any item of wood or clothing or skin or sack, whatever item it is, in which any work is done, it must be put in water. And it shall be unclean until evening; then it shall be clean.
33 Any earthen vessel into which any of them falls you shall break; and whatever is in it shall be unclean:
34 in such a vessel, any edible food upon which water falls becomes unclean, and any drink that may be drunk from it becomes unclean.
35 And everything on which a part of any such carcass falls shall be unclean; whether it is an oven or cooking stove, it shall be broken down; for they are unclean, and shall be unclean to you.
36 Nevertheless a spring or a cistern, in which there is plenty of water, shall be clean, but whatever touches any such carcass becomes unclean.
37 And if a part of any such carcass falls on any planting seed which is to be sown, it remains clean.
38 But if water is put on the seed, and if a part of any such carcass falls on it, it becomes unclean to you.
39 'And if any animal which you may eat dies, he who touches its carcass shall be unclean until evening.
40 He who eats of its carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening. He also who carries its carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening.
41 'And every creeping thing that creeps on the earth shall be an abomination. It shall not be eaten.
42 Whatever crawls on its belly, whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet among all creeping things that creep on the earth--these you shall not eat, for they are an abomination.
43 You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps; nor shall you make yourselves unclean with them, lest you be defiled by them.
44 For I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
45 For I am the Lord who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
46 'This is the law of the animals and the birds and every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth,
47 to distinguish between the unclean and the clean, and between the animal that may be eaten and the animal that may not be eaten.' "

Some wish to remove this from Law. One group teaches that HaShem had no intention of man eating meat. They will even make the claim that it was never given as food for us. Knowing many people that follow that idea, I asked them, "If it was never given as food, why does the Torah go to such detail over the whats, and hows?" Needless to say I was given no answer.Other than to turn to Gen. where we were given only plaint life as food.
On the other end, we have some that wish to say it has been removed. For this they will turn to Peters dream. Or to Yeshua saying it isn't what goes in that makes a person unclean. Both are seen as right in their eyes. However there is still that small group that will debate both ideas. So for that lets look at just a hand full of passages used by both sides.
In Acts 10, we find Peters dream. Though one side will say it tells us that everything is clean and good for food, they will argee that the dream had nothing to with people at all. Yet even Peter tells us that it had everything to do people. What is over looked by this gruop is the fact that Peter know he could be killed for going into the home of a gentile. Yet HaShem wished to use Peter in just this way. Just one example of Rabbinic Law going over the top, and placing demands on people, that they them self didn't follow.
You see, if a religious leader had a business, and they had to work with a gentile, they did so. Yet if Jo Blow had to, that was forbidden. At lest that is how my Israeli History teach tells it. In a full reading of that story, one will find that Peter tells us 3 times that he understood the meaning as dealing with people. 2 sides of the same coin, and once more we find that even with the same words, in the same book, man kind can't find the same meaning.
Next would Mat. 15. It opens with a question of unwashed hands. In the whole of the chapter, not once does it say anything about clean or unclear foods. In fact when Yeshua is explaining the parable He even turns right back to the washing of hands. That's one side of the coin. On the other side, we have the idea that this has nothing to the washing of hands, and goes directly to clean or unclean foods.
Both can't be right. at times like this one is better off to remove their eye from the microscope, and take a good long hard look at the full subject mater of the whole of the Word.

Leviticus 18
1
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'I am the Lord your God. 3 According to the doings of the land of Egypt, where you dwelt, you shall not do; and according to the doings of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you, you shall not do; nor shall you walk in their ordinances.
4 You shall observe My judgments and keep My ordinances, to walk in them: I am the Lord your God.
5 You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man does, he shall live by them: I am the Lord.

Both in Egypt, and Canaan incest was comon place. Though it seems that the Torah went the long way to say this, we must keep in mind what they had been use to when Egypt. This isn't to say that Israel took part in any of it, as History doesn't speak to this. Though some will say that it took place in The Land, as the Laws are set up for this. Though this is a somewhat wide view of Torah, it can be seen as true, at lest to some small extent. As we enter into the parts some wish to use for this line of reasoning, we will look at them.
6 'None of you shall approach anyone who is near of kin to him, to uncover his nakedness: I am the Lord.
7 The nakedness of your father or the nakedness of your mother you shall not uncover. She is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness.
8 The nakedness of your father's wife you shall not uncover; it is your father's nakedness. 9 The nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home or elsewhere, their nakedness you shall not uncover.
10 The nakedness of your son's daughter or your daughter's daughter, their nakedness you shall not uncover; for theirs is your own nakedness.
11 The nakedness of your father's wife's daughter, begotten by your father--she is your sister--you shall not uncover her nakedness.
12 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's sister; she is near of kin to your father.
13 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister, for she is near of kin to your mother.
14 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's brother. You shall not approach his wife; she is your aunt.
15 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law--she is your son's wife--you shall not uncover her nakedness.
16 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's wife; it is your brother's nakedness.
17 You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, nor shall you take her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness. They are near of kin to her. It is wickedness.

In regard to the comment above, one should look closely at this chapter. It is clear that HaShem is speaking of close kin. I am sure we all know about the prohibition on marring out of Israel. as seen in Deut. 7:3. Keep this statement in mind when we get to that, for now lets stop and look at why. Some woill say that the Torah has gone to great lengths to contradict it's self. They turn to this passage and others to show it. If Israel can't marry from outside the family, then this chapter means nothing. It tells them not do what they must to keep other parts of the same books of laws. That how ever is a twisted view of what one sees here. Though it is true that they all came from the same 12 sons, of one man, it isn't true that any part of Torah teaches they must marry with in their own family. Keep in mind, that by the logic used to say they are, the whole world is marring inside their own family. After all, we all came from the first Adam and Eve did we not.

18 Nor shall you take a woman as a rival to her sister, to uncover her nakedness while the other is alive.
19 'Also you shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness as long as she is in her customary impurity.
20 Moreover you shall not lie carnally with your neighbor's wife, to defile yourself with her. 21 And you shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.
22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.

Please read all the following. Lev. 20:13, Rom. 1:24-27, 1 Cor. 6:9-11, Gal5:19-21, Rev. 22:14-15
23 Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion.
24 Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.
25 For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants.
26 You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you 27 (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled),
28 lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
29 For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
30 Therefore you shall keep My ordinance, so that you do not commit any of these abominable customs which were committed before you, and that you do not defile yourselves by them: I am the Lord your God.' "

Leviticus 19
1
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
2 "Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: 'You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.
3 'Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and keep My Sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.

As a pastor once made clear, (or tried to anyway) the use of the plural Sabbaths by Paul has no reflection on the OT. The claim he made left me somewhat dumbfounded. You see the idea that there is more than a weekly Sabbath is founded in Torah, andcarried on by Paul in the NT. (please see, col. 2:16) don't get me wrong, I have said it is wrong to worship HaShem on any day one wishes. In fact we should worship Him every day we are able. After what is the LORDS day? every day is His, He created them, and they all belong to him.
4 'Do not turn to idols, nor make for yourselves molded gods: I am the Lord your God. 5 'And if you offer a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord, you shall offer it of your own free will.
6 It shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the next day. And if any remains until the third day, it shall be burned in the fire.
7 And if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination. It shall not be accepted. 8 Therefore everyone who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the hallowed offering of the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from his people.

Even though many today can't see any way this fits with the world we now live in, they simply are not looking. When we give teeth it should seen as an offering to HaShem. Not the church, or the pastor. Though many in todays church are not clear on that, it is due more in part to the lack of, or unwillingness by church leaders to teach this.
9 'When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.
10 And you shall not glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather every grape of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the stranger: I am the Lord your God.

Although I don't follow the ideas given out by liberals, nor do the ideas of socialism agree with me, one can't deny that HaShem did give us many of the ideas we follow today. We are told to take care of the needy, and the poor. They are the same in my book, the needy simply can't help themselves. Be it do to physical or mental handicaps, they simply can't work. The poor on the other hand, can work. They simply don't make enough to meet their needs.
11 'You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another.
12 And you shall not swear by My name falsely, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.
13 You shall not cheat your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of him who is hired shall not remain with you all night until morning.
14 You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind, but shall fear your God: I am the Lord.
15 'You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.

When one judges anyone, they do so not of fear or anger. (Well they shouldn't) Rather we should always use the Word to find what is lacking in others, and help to bring them up, not try to keep them down. All too often, people wish to push away, silence, or at times even kill what they fear. Mostly we fear the things we don't understand. one we understand them, they are not so scary.
16 You shall not go about as a talebearer among your people; nor shall you take a stand against the life of your neighbor: I am the Lord.
17 'You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

Yeshua told us, not to hate, or hold anger in ones heart. They are both the same. A teacher once said that Yeshua expanded the Laws of the Torah, yet here is that same teaching. (Please see, Mat.5:21-22)
18 You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
19 'You shall keep My statutes. You shall not let your livestock breed with another kind. You shall not sow your field with mixed seed. Nor shall a garment of mixed linen and wool come upon you.

I was told that I didn't follow the Torah as well as I think. This Rabbi, did his best to explain that by by putting on a cotton shirt, and a leather jacket, I was in violation of this law. However, as I made clear to him, this Law is about a shirt made of 2 kinds of thread. It has nothing to do with one being place on top of the other.
20 Whoever lies carnally with a woman who is betrothed to a man as a concubine, and who has not at all been redeemed nor given her freedom, for this there shall be scourging; but they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
21 And he shall bring his trespass offering to the Lord, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, a ram as a trespass offering.
22 The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the Lord for his sin which he has committed. And the sin which he has committed shall be forgiven him.
23 'When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as uncircumcised. Three years it shall be as uncircumcised to you. It shall not be eaten.
24 But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, a praise to the Lord.
25 And in the fifth year you may eat its fruit, that it may yield to you its increase: I am the Lord your God.
26 'You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor shall you practice divination or soothsaying.
27 You shall not shave around the sides of your head, nor shall you disfigure the edges of your beard.

A teacher of Biblical Law once told me that this isn't the same as the Law for the priest in the Temple. They are not to trim, or cut the corners of their hair or beard at all. Here however the law is a bit different, it tells us not to disfigure the edges of it. Though it does say we are not shave the sides of our head, (what I call a muppet cut) this is not the same as the corners.
28 You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.
29 'Do not prostitute your daughter, to cause her to be a harlot, lest the land fall into harlotry, and the land become full of wickedness.
30 'You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord.
31 'Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
32 'You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man, and fear your God: I am the Lord.
33 'And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. 34 The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
35 'You shall do no injustice in judgment, in measurement of length, weight, or volume. 36 You shall have honest scales, honest weights, an honest ephah, and an honest hin: I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
37 'Therefore you shall observe all My statutes and all My judgments, and perform them: I am the Lord.' "

Torah can be fulfilled by the law of Jesus, to love God a above all else with all our hearts mind and might, and to love our neighbors as we love oneself.

Leviticus 23
1
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'The feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.
Like many in the world I once seen the feast as Jewish. It was not until some 20 years back that I fully understood they aren't the Jews feast at all. True they were given to the Hebrew people, yet they are HaShems feast.
3'Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
For a thing that has been removed, changed, or how ever one wishes to look at it, did you know that The Sabbath shows up 458 times? thats a lot of wasted time spent on one topic for no reason at all. 4 These are the feasts of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times 5 On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord's Passover.
There is one teaching out there that wishes us to think that we should X number of days from the Winter sultans, to find the day we should keep as Passover. That however is wrong, as doing that comes to the spring equinox. Though many see this as pass over this in incorrect, the day you find doing this is what is called Easter. Now before anyone that wishes to teach the Law has been removed, keep in mind that observe passover, are keeping the Law. Even if you do it wrong, you are still holding to Torah to some extent.
Passover was not a full day, in truth it was a meal. Though it is a full day of celebration, in most Jewish homes. It always starts at sun set on the 14th of Nissan. by today's calendar. The only Passover I have ever had the privilege of attending with a Jewish family, started around 3PM, and ran until sunset. At sunset the new day started, and we have the first day of unleavened bread.

6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread.
7 On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it. 8 But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.' "
As noted in my last post there is a reason that HaShem used the word SABBATHS, just as there is a reason Paul also did. Here it is. If one reads this, and understands what they are reading, then they will see that we have 2 Sabbaths tied to this feast. They are not the same as a weekly Sabbath. 9 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
10"Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest. 11 He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted on your behalf; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.
Although many have said this was on a Monday, they have missed the meaning of the passage. The sages explain it this way. Although the word used ordinarily refers to the Sabbath, it came be, as the Torah doesn't tell us which of the 52 Sabbaths it is talking of. For this reason one must conclude that the Waving must take place on the 16th of Nisan.
With that I wish to pass on one other teaching that I do hold to. Though this first came to light in Biblical Law, it has stayed with me. Though it is true that Yeshua walked out of the thumb on the first day of the week, He was not placed there on a Friday. He fullfilled Passover on a Wednesday, was placed in the thumb just before sunset that same day. If we place don't get that day right, we fail in seeing the fulfillment of 3 full days. He also fulfilled the Sabbath that goes with the first day of UB, as well as the weekly Sabbath. When he was raised, He fulfilled the first harvest feast as well.

12 And you shall offer on that day, when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb of the first year, without blemish, as a burnt offering to the Lord.
13 Its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the Lord, for a sweet aroma; and its drink offering shall be of wine, one-fourth of a hin. 14 You shall eat neither bread nor parched grain nor fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your God; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings
15 And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed.
16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.
17You shall bring from your dwellings two wave loaves of two-tenths of an ephah. They shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven. They are the firstfruits to the Lord.
The second harvest feast is seen here. The counting of the Omer sounds odd to many. I know I was lost with that for a long time, I mean I was counting from the first day of UB. That was wrong, we are to count 7 weekly Sabbaths. This feast will see it's fulfillment when Yeshua raises His people from their graves.
18 And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs of the first year, without blemish, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be as a burnt offering to the Lord, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma to the Lord.
19 Then you shall sacrifice one kid of the goats as a sin offering, and two male lambs of the first year as a sacrifice of a peace offering
20 The priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits as a wave offering before the Lord, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to the Lord for the priest.
21 And you shall proclaim on the same day that it is a holy convocation to you. You shall do no customary work on it. It shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations 22 'When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field when you reap, nor shall you gather any gleaning from your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am the Lord your God.' "
Though we have no need for sacrifices, I find it sad that no one follows the Law of leaving the corners of ones feild for the poor. I may not follow it as it is written, however I do let others that are in need take from my own garden. It is after all, the SPIRIT and not the LETTER of the law we should hold in our hearts. Finish of 23

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
24 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.
25 You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.' "
I have never got be in Israel for this feast, though I was once told it is a real celebration, And that there is no place in Israel that you won't hear a shofar. Faest Sabbath #4 The fulfillment of this feast will be on the Day Yeshua returns.
26 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
27 "Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.
How many of think we should keep this day? Most will say no, as we have no need for sin sacrifices, to them I give 1/2 a good on you. You see this is a day when people should really look hard at their lives, seek every corner of your heart and mind. When you find something wrong, you place it before HaShem, and He will do His part to help us do better. Like I said, and keep saying, it is not the letter of the law we should hold fast to, rather the spirit. Feast Sabbath #5
Also this feast will see it's fulfillment on what we call Judgment day.
28 And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the Lord your God.
29For any person who is not afflicted in soul on that same day shall be cut off from his people.
30 And any person who does any work on that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.
31 You shall do no manner of work; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
32 It shall be to you a sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict your souls; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall celebrate your sabbath."
33 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
34 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord.
35 On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it. 36 For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it
37 These are the feasts of the Lord which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, everything on its day--
38 besides the Sabbaths of the Lord, besides your gifts, besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to the Lord
39 'Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days; on the first day there shall be a sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a sabbath-rest.
40 And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.
41 You shall keep it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
42 You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths, 43 that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.' "
44 So Moses declared to the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.
Succos, this is by fare my favorite, 2 reasons, I love camping out, and this feast will be fulfilled with Yeshua ruling for 1000 years. Also if done with your heart in the right place, and for the right reason, this feast can open ones eyes to many things. It removes you from your TV, Radio, and most distractions in this world. Giving one time to really look at HaShem's work. As there are also 2 Feast Sabbaths with this feast, we now have 7.

Are you saying that the Torah isn't a part of that?
  • "Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:" (2Tim 3.16).

Every scripture, and not just part of it.

Every scripture, and not just part of it.
So nothing wrong with a study that starts from the beginning is there. That being as it is, your first post seems a bit unworried, and with little or no purpose.

Leviticus 26:1-26
Although there is much that can be learned from 24 and 25, not many one here would welcome it. It is with that on my heart that I have moved to 26. Though I do feel it is just as true that not many will wish to look at this, I am going to follow it through anyway.

1 'You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the Lord your God.
2 You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord.
3 'If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them,
4 then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

In the class I hold in my home, this topic became one of fulfillment. As we looked at what is going on in the world today, (and yes we can be wrong we are only human) it became some what clear that world wide we are paying for turning away from HaShem, and the way He showed us to walk. One of the Pastors put it this way, "The rain that fell in Israel in the last week was out of season for them. If we look at what is going on there can we learn anything?" His answer came from an email, in it that same question was asked. The Rabbi that wrote that email had this to say. "With the world turning to self satisfaction, homosexuality, greed, and many other forms of sin, it is highly likely that we will see more earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, and drought. As we should know from prophecy they will grow more server if we don't turn back to HaShem.
5 Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
6 I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land.
7 You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you.
8 Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.
9 'For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you. 10 You shall eat the old harvest, and clear out the old because of the new.
11 I will set My tabernacle among you, and My soul shall not abhor you.
12 I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.
13 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you walk upright.
At one time a person could look at the above and see a description of the USA. That was in a time when we feared HaShem as a nation. If we look at in the light of what were, and what we stood for, there should be little if any doubt. In fact if we look back to when pray was removed from school, it was also when we lost our first war. As we,(at to some degree) turned back to HaShem things got a bit better for us. The in more resent years, everything has gone the way of dogs. With one leader after antother turning their backs on Israel, and the last even turning his back on the nation, we find our selves faced with more debt, lower GDP that we have ever had in history. Yet to that end, under our currant leader, who has worked to be a blessing to Israel, and in his own way follows HaShem, and His Laws. We are seeing that turn around. So I ask, is it just coincident or is the Hand of HaShem?
14 'But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments,
15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant,
16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you.
18 And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. 19 I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. 20 And your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.
21 'Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins.
22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your highways shall be desolate.
23 'And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me,
24 then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins. 25 And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
26 When I have cut off your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall bring back your bread by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied.
If one was to look back at the history of Israel, they will see every part of this has been theirs to face.More than once in some cases. To this day, in every nation that has turned their back on HaShem, we can see this come to pass. Though some may point to China and say I am wrong, please look closely at this chapter.

Leviticus 26:27-46
27 And after all this, if you do not obey Me, but walk contrary to Me,
28 then I also will walk contrary to you in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. 29 You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters.
30 I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars, and cast your carcasses on the lifeless forms of your idols; and My soul shall abhor you.
31 I will lay your cities waste and bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not smell the fragrance of your sweet aromas.
32 I will bring the land to desolation, and your enemies who dwell in it shall be astonished at it. 33 I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste.
34 Then the land shall enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies' land; then the land shall rest and enjoy its sabbaths.
I was said I didn't know of any place that in the Word that for-sow the 2000 year diaspora. However after having it pointed out in one place, I can now see it in others. As we talked about Torah this week, our Jewish friend,(that teaches us much of what we just think we know) Pointed out that this passage covers many things. All of it has came to pass more than once. The 10 northen tribs being removed from Israel is one, then later the remaining 2 tribes of Judah marks 2. He also made note of something I didn't know. In his words, Israel had returned to a lax, or complacent life, after they returned from Babylon. The Roman occupation was the result. when Israel was once removed from their own lands, it lasted close to 2000years. If one was to look closely at what they were doing just before that, they would find that Israel had once more replaced Biblical law, only this time they had turned to mans law. I am not going to say he is right or wrong. I haven't time to really look at what he said.
35 As long as it lies desolate it shall rest-- for the time it did not rest on your sabbaths when you dwelt in it.
36 And as for those of you who are left, I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; the sound of a shaken leaf shall cause them to flee; they shall flee as though fleeing from a sword, and they shall fall when no one pursues.
37 They shall stumble over one another, as it were before a sword, when no one pursues; and you shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
38 You shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
39 And those of you who are left shall waste away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; also in their fathers' iniquities, which are with them, they shall waste away.
40 'But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, with their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me,
41 and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their guilt--
42 then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham I will remember; I will remember the land.
43 The land also shall be left empty by them, and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; they will accept their guilt, because they despised My judgments and because their soul abhorred My statutes.
44 Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God. 45 But for their sake I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am the Lord.' "
46 These are the statutes and judgments and laws which the Lord made between Himself and the children of Israel on Mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
In one church that was a part of my life, I was told that HaShem had rejected Israel, and taken that church to replace them. Now me being me, I had to find how they came to that was of thinking. So I asked a lot of questions, and was never really given an answer that could be fond in the Word.
This passage is clear that that would never come about. It is also clear that HaShem will not forget His people. Though we could go through many passages that back this, we simply need look at the world around us, as it is now. Israel is back in their lands, and they are a strong nation.
Yet we should not think that this is only for Israel, as the USA, and other nations more further from HaShem, and His laws, we can see a decline in them. Often in more than one way.

Leviticus 27
1
Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When a man consecrates by a vow certain persons to the Lord, according to your valuation,
One teaching on this that a person is sold to pay a debt owed to the Temple. That how ever isn't true. This is a voluntary offering, This was set apart from the offerings commanded in the earlier chapters of this book, to show that they are not as essential as the performance of the commandments.
3 if your valuation is of a male from twenty years old up to sixty years old, then your valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.
4 If it is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty shekels;
5 and if from five years old up to twenty years old, then your valuation for a male shall be twenty shekels, and for a female ten shekels;
6 and if from a month old up to five years old, then your valuation for a male shall be five shekels of silver, and for a female your valuation shall be three shekels of silver;
7 and if from sixty years old and above, if it is a male, then your valuation shall be fifteen shekels, and for a female ten shekels.
8 But if he is too poor to pay your valuation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall set a value for him; according to the ability of him who vowed, the priest shall value him.
Although today this isn't something that is ever done, We may see its return with the return of the 3rd Temple. Like the tithes that many churchs say we must pay, (Not saying don't pay them, they are after all derived from Torah.) The offerings like this were used to keep the Temple running, and in good repair.
9 'If it is an animal that men may bring as an offering to the Lord, all that anyone gives to the Lord shall be holy.
10 He shall not substitute it or exchange it, good for bad or bad for good; and if he at all exchanges animal for animal, then both it and the one exchanged for it shall be holy.
11 If it is an unclean animal which they do not offer as a sacrifice to the Lord, then he shall present the animal before the priest;
12 and the priest shall set a value for it, whether it is good or bad; as you, the priest, value it, so it shall be.
Not all unclean animals are bad. Many do have value, like a good horse, or working dog.
13 But if he wants at all to redeem it, then he must add one-fifth to your valuation.
14 And when a man dedicates his house to be holy to the Lord, then the priest shall set a value for it, whether it is good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall stand.
15 If he who dedicated it wants to redeem his house, then he must add one-fifth of the money of your valuation to it, and it shall be his.
16 'If a man dedicates to the Lord part of a field of his possession, then your valuation shall be according to the seed for it. A homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver. 17 If he dedicates his field from the Year of Jubilee, according to your valuation it shall stand. 18 But if he dedicates his field after the Jubilee, then the priest shall reckon to him the money due according to the years that remain till the Year of Jubilee, and it shall be deducted from your valuation. 19 And if he who dedicates the field ever wishes to redeem it, then he must add one-fifth of the money of your valuation to it, and it shall belong to him.
20 But if he does not want to redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed anymore;
21 but the field, when it is released in the Jubilee, shall be holy to the Lord, as a devoted field; it shall be the possession of the priest.
22 And if a man dedicates to the Lord a field which he has bought, which is not the field of his possession,
23 then the priest shall reckon to him the worth of your valuation, up to the Year of Jubilee, and he shall give your valuation on that day as a holy offering to the Lord.
24 In the Year of Jubilee the field shall return to him from whom it was bought, to the one who owned the land as a possession.
As with all things, be it a person that soild them self into slavery, land, or house. It is returned when Jubilee come around. All prices are set on that idea. If Jubilee is next year the price drops, so that the one doing the buying can regain their expenditure. As we know HaShem will not violate His own Laws, so it stands to reason the same would hold true here as well.
25 And all your valuations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs to the shekel.
26 'But the firstborn of the animals, which should be the Lord's firstborn, no man shall dedicate; whether it is an ox or sheep, it is the Lord's.
27 And if it is an unclean animal, then he shall redeem it according to your valuation, and shall add one-fifth to it; or if it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your valuation.
28 Nevertheless no devoted offering that a man may devote to the Lord of all that he has, both man and beast, or the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted offering is most holy to the Lord.
29 No person under the ban, who may become doomed to destruction among men, shall be redeemed, but shall surely be put to death.
30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's. It is holy to the Lord.
31 If a man wants at all to redeem any of his tithes, he shall add one-fifth to it.
32 And concerning the tithe of the herd or the flock, of whatever passes under the rod, the tenth one shall be holy to the Lord.
33 He shall not inquire whether it is good or bad, nor shall he exchange it; and if he exchanges it at all, then both it and the one exchanged for it shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.' "
34 These are the commandments which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel on Mount Sinai.

As we move into Numbers, there will be more skipping over chapters. Though there is a lot to be learned from them I feel I am running short on time. Numbers at one time was a book ijust skiped over. That changed however when I was challenged to write the full Torah at lest once in my life. I started out thinking this won't be any help, then found that fater I did it, things were a bit more clear. Enough about all that, I don't have much time today so I am going to need to close for now.
May HaShem Bless you all
