The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. [2] Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge. [3] There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard. [4] Their line a has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world.
Psalms 19:1-4

Whatever happened to Awe that moment when your heart is stilled yet beating fast? Whatever happened to Wonder that moment that the vision of splendor and glory all around you is speaking to you just to Worship in stillness? In a World of discussions debates and communication reveals that the multitude of many words foolishness manifests from our limited understanding. David taught us soo much from the Psalms about how the splendor of God's artistic order which is nature around us is the best and completely free theological course to take. Because only in the stillness of Awe can the Holy Spirit speak and hover over the Waters for Him to speak and say, "Let there be."

Hi Kisharen,

I love that scripture. And I'm so in awe of God's majesty!!! And amen to all you've said!!! Thanks for the beauty of your spirit revealed in your words. You make me think of the scripture where God says to be still and know that I am God..........

"Awe" got downgraded by kittens and puppies, debased by pity and completely overused in "awesome, dude".

God is worthy of some words being reserved for Him.

Psa 4:4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

Psa 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
