But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26

Jesus promised us the Holy Spirit. He describes Him as the Counsellor or Paraclete (the One that comes alongside to encourage). The Holy Spirit is sent from the Father (in Jesus' name) and one of His ministry is to teach us all things and to remind us of what Christ has told us. But, from what does He teach us? And how do we know what Christ has taught us so the Spirit can remind us? We've got to read the text book - the Bible. There is where the Holy Spirit starts from to teach us. It's from reading God's Word that the Spirit reminds us. Get it! Read it! Just Do It! =)

It applies to us too but it also needs to be read within context.
When you read in Acts after His reserrection you find their minds were opened to understand and remember the things He said. I can't remember specific scriptures and I don't have a moment yet to go searching.
