Someone mentioned Greek mythology today on a thread....So... Who are the ancient Greek gods? When do you think they will return? What will happen when they come back?.....

Probably all of them. I'm just taking a break from my writing and thought I would ask people opinions on this

Well.....I am sure I will catch flak from this but an very interesting point to ponder.....

When Jesus addressed the church at Pergamos he said that HE knew they dwelt where SATAN'S seat was located....the interesting fact is that the THRONE of ZEUS was located in Pergamos. What I have found in my studies is a continuing attempt by Satan to be worshipped in a man as GOD with God continually hindering it because it was not yet time (end of the age and the beast).....I believe the following....

Horus in Egypt, is Bel in Assyria, is Marduke in Bablyon, is Merodach in Persia, is Jupiter in Greece, is Zeus in Rome is Allah at the end of the age and ALL of them were/are SATAN........

Not fallen angels but definitely nephilim and the Raphaim

Don't forget the demigods Hercules and others These are the offspring of the gods. Part god and part human.

The seven day calendar is adopted from the Hellenistic world. The German people took the days and labeled them with their gods/sacred images. They've made their way to English.

I assume that old pagan religions are no different from modern religions in how they started. Not necessarily conscious worship of a particular demonic being, but certainly lies created and propagated by people under the influence of the Fall and Satan.

It's reasonable to assume that the beings the Greeks worshiped were around before the Greeks and continue after the Greeks. They are not coming back. They're already here or bound by Providence. Humans have just found newer ways to violate the first commandment.

Why the particular attention to the Greek pantheon?

Why do you think they are not coming back.

I think the whole idea is that they aren't real.

But maybe you should ask somebody from Greece to make sure.

I think the demons who are behind the deception are likely still around. They just work and act in different ways.

But I can't prove a negative? Why do you think they are a bunch of real gods and why are they coming back?

And again, I'm very confused about your fixation on the Greek pantheon. Most pre-monotheist people had their own assortment of gods.

Why do you think they are not coming back.

Greek religion was based on the antediluvian world and generally harmonizes with Genesis.
It was basically ancestor worship, and was practiced by many cultures, not just the Greeks.
Adam/Zeus, Eve/Hera and/or Athena, Garden of Eden/Hesperides, Serpent/Ladon, etc.
Directly mentioned in Genesis 6:4.
They didn't make this stuff up out of thin air.
It happened.

That's interesting. I'll entertain the possibility.

How did Adam go from falling to hurling lightning bolts from a mountain?
