Now, as always, God discloses Himself to "babes" and hides Himself in thick darkness from the wise and the prudent. We must simplify our approach to Him. We must strip down to essentials (and they will be found to be blessedly few). We must put away all effort to impress, and come with the guileless candor of childhood. If we do this, without doubt God will quickly respond."

It is better to learn the message through Scripture:

James 4

[h=1]James 4King James Version (KJV)[/h]4 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Matthew 11:25 NASB
At that time Jesus said, "I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.

Sometimes one can only truly understand the scriptures when spoken in the tongue of one of his children

So many come and try to lead people away to other sites... I'm weary of this and will share Scripture.

We are to study Scripture and ask for understanding through the Holy Spirit.

why do we need to receive quotes from a w tozer?

Let us not not lead them to doctrines of men...

We have the Holy Bible of the Old and New Testament to learn from.

Hi loveme1, your devotion to scripture a alone indeed is good :). At the same time, why limit God? He is able to speak scriptural truths through his own. As long as they are not in anyway opposed to God's Word, there is no harm, it can actually be edifying. A.W. Tozer is actually a very reliable person to help guide you through Biblical Truths alongside The Holy Spirit:)

A welcoming post, thanks :D

Open Our Ears And Hearts,

Set our minds and thoughts on your eternal will.
As it says in scripture, we need to become like
children, our faith In Him unquestioned, our love
for Him unbridled. Our reliance on Him in him for
all things. Jesus says to us, come to me all who
are weary and I will give you rest. He goes on to
say I am meek and humble of heart. Strangely
that gets lost in translation somehow. It seems
that the further we get into Christianity, the more
we lose track of peaceful thoughts of Jesus. Our
egos begin to win out over submission. It's in our
weakness we become strong since that is His way.
It is in our need that we really find love, the love of
heart as is describe in 1Cor. 13. Lord we need
you this day and forever.

To go before God as a child is to go before God stripped of our sins and doubts, full of wide-eyed inspiration that comes from total faith.

Is God going to be there when I need Him? A child would say, “Yes!”

To go before God as a child is to expect awe-inspiring greatness.

Let’s visit Matthew 18:3 again.

Jesus said, unless you change and become like a child.

Webster’s dictionary describes “childlike” as “becoming a child; meek; submissive; dutiful.”

“Assuredly, I say to you, unless you change and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.”

God seeks a childlike submissiveness and meekness, a gleeful childlike heart … and a childlike faith.
Did you write this article? https://ccsouthbay.org/blog/be-like-a-child

If you are not Ani Ma'amin https://ccsouthbay.org/blog/author/animaamin you should give the credit to him as he is the one who wrote the things you've pasted into your post. Otherwise you're plagiarizing and acting as if what you write is yours when it is not. Not exactly "child like faith" is it?

Anyone can simply google the portions of her post and it will lead them to the above article.
