In Ephesians Paul is speaking to gentiles needing salvation.

In Eph 2:2 Paul explains that it is God who makes them alive in Christ. It is by God's grace. In verse 3 Paul tells them they were far away from God, but God brings them near to Him through the blood of Christ.

It is God the Father who gives us salvation through grace, it is Christ who died for our sins so we may claim this grace.

I'd like to point out your last 3 words "claim this grace." Grace is available to all, but we must redeem it. It's like if you have a coupon for something free, you still have to take it in in order to receive your free item. Grace does not come to you, you have to go to it. Jesus says "Come to Me." Grace is not a matter of if you believe it exists you have it, only those who obey will receive it, because they are the only group He gives it to.

Yes, this is true, and it is God the Father who is shown in the New Testament to be the one who gives salvation (the gift of eternal life) to those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. At the same time, we see many Scriptures which indicate that it is Christ who gives the gift of eternal life (John 5:21,26).

For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
