I wonder if anyone has noticed? Every single thread I look at, there is little scriture shared but a lot of anger and strife is shared instead. I wonder why? Yes.....I'm no less guilty than anyone else. :(

Computers suck!

People have gone from actually studying the Word to Googleing the Word then cutting and pasting it. Makes them look really knowledgeable but they actually learn very little this way. That's why so many here don't believe the majority of the bible. They don't know what it says. And they do it all intellectually to win their point. Because of this there is little love involved in this site. Only a mediocre show of it. Though to be honest, there are some real Christians in this forum.

Its all because of this tech shortcut called computers.

I guess, it was because you want more people to post scripture, but you complain that it's too easy for younger Christians to post scripture and claim that they/we don't understand it.

It's much easier and faster to use the online word than find it on paper and type it out.

but a lot of anger and strife is shared instead. I wonder why?
I think it's just the adversary getting more desperate, its time is short. As long as we remember the importance of forgiveness we can overcome it.

Matthew 24:
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

It seems to be one of things... where mans anger does not bring the righteousness of God that he desires of us. He says vengeance is His. While His does protect his righteousness it in doing so it protects us. The faith we are to defend is the faith of Christ not of our own selves. Ephesians 4 according to the King James instructs us to "be angry" and sin not.It sounds like a commanment. I think the better would be of another translation that say "in you anger do not sin". The first seems to give permission. While the second tells us where that anger comes from Its angry people you look for fault in others .In one sense its shows a person is angry at God for brining people into our lives. We can be a angry race who long to be clothed with a incorruptible body .the body of dearth we live come short of that glory. Self control the fruit of His Spirit We have His Spirit as our treasure in theses earthen bodies but it is not of us.

Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: King James

Eph 4:26 “In your anger do not sin” Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, NIV

I thought I was speaking English...Maybe you were listening in a different language? So that's why you posted what you did. Actually in that post I was saying it's too easy for people to find their answers in google...They don't have to dig so they don't learn either.

You said "It's much easier and faster to use the online word than find it on paper and type it out." I agree but its the digging and writing that makes it firm in their memories.

You said "I think it's just the adversary getting more desperate, its time is short. As long as we remember the importance of forgiveness we can overcome it." Are you saying that we are helpless victims? That we have no choice? What a great excuse we have!! The devil made me do it!

In all fairness, you're making me laugh, so I haven't been offended. However, if you keep inflaming things and provoking people in to arguments, isn't it contributing to that which you're complaining about?

Maybe you understand this more than I do:

Ephesians 6:16
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Not every thought that enters our heads belongs to us, a lot of them are put there by the adversary. I don't know how many people realize this, though. Have you ever noticed how sometimes you have the most shocking and inappropriate thoughts? Thoughts that you'd never approve of, given what you know about God. Or when you're typing a reply to someone who insults you, you may get the thought to insult them back, or call them idiotic? Any bad thoughts while trying to pray?

One example I can think of is a thread about abuse that was active for the last few days, someone asked how to study it, and then several posts later that person railed on another Christian. They later discovered that abuse was synonymous with railing.

Here's some scripture regarding railing / reviling;

1 Corinthians 5:11
But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

1 Corinthians 6:10
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

It's shocking how serious our situation is, any good works we do are nothing next to the depth of grace that God gives us.

Are you saying that we are helpless victims?
No, I'm saying that the adversary is causing the increase of sin so that people will struggle to love each other. Where as God commands us to forgive each other; because it's good and proper to do and helps us.

I think there is a lot of scripture shared but it tends to be a lot in one post and easy to overlook because we look for what one is interpreting it mean to them.

I do agree with you though that anger and strife is apparent, which to be honest makes me sad and also I will say that I have fallen foul of that.

What makes me sad is that it tends to get personal.

To me the issue is not to disagree but it's how we disagree.

I am happy to disagree but also will talk if it's a big issue to me.
If we can't agree let's not be nasty and condemning about it.
Lets judge people and say because of what you believe you are sending people to hell.
God is the ultimate judge and not us.

Does anyone have a scripture that would coincide with this thread? Otherwise...it too is going to go down in flames.

Just to clarify

Lets judge people and say because of what you believe you are sending people to hell.
I meant to say

"Let's NOT judge people and say because of what you believe you are sending people to hell"

By this

James 3:17-18
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

its from above

When I was bullied here, it started to cause me to be bitter. I'm not going to be bullied off the site by people who are happy to do so.

Hebrews 12:15
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Ephesians 4;31
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

God just made me feel better, He can wipe away negativity. I've also seen other people come back to the site after being bullied off by those same people.

God is so good, at least we can all agree on that.
