The reason why the blood formed a cross was that there was blood in the sill of the door. ('Caph' translated basin, but it really means the sill of the door). So the hyssop branch was dipped in it and then blood was applied to the lintel, (top beam of the door), and the two side posts. Now those 4 locations for the blood form a cross. Jesus was pierced in his hands - side posts, feet - basin/sill, head with thorns - lintel.

ok, back to the Olivet

Just to clarify this.

Nisan is the first month of the Jewish New Year. I think Jesus started his ministry Nisan AD 30. (yes, no?)

Passover starts on Nisan 10 every year when the sacrificial lamb is selected

Likewise Jesus entered Jerusalem on Nisan 10 on a colt and presented himself to the High Priest.

The 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th are inspection days where the lamb is inspected for blemishes

Jesus presented himself as the lamb without spot to the priests, preaching and teaching in the Temple for these days

On the 14th the Lamb is killed and then eaten during the night. Simultaneously, the 7 days of the Feast Of Unleavened Bread begins as sin (yeast) is cast out of the house for 7 days.

I believe the prophecy recorded in Luke 21 is not the same as what is recorded in Matt 24 and Mark 13.

The prophecy in Luke takes place in the temple.

In Matt 24 and Mark 13, Jesus taught at the Mount of Olives and He answers specific questions asked:

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Mark 13:3-4 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

There are similarities between what Jesus taught in the temple and what Jesus taught at the Mount of Olives, but these were two separate events.
