I think this is a question of great importance to the end times.

What would make it authentic? Land borders and real estate? The religion of the Phraisees (modern Judaism) or the DNA of the Hebrews?
God's acceptance? Why are the people so white, and why are the dark-skinned ones treated with contempt? How come Tel Aviv is a homosexual capital of this planet, even though that is against the Torah?

What are Christians supposed to think about it? Are we supposed to wait and see? Or are we to serve with money, warfare, and adoration?

Isn't it illegal to preach Christianity there? What are we to do about that? We complain when dictatorships have such rules, but what should our position be on that state?

So a couple things,I see you're new, welcome. Secondly, you couldn't have picked a more controversial subject, its like coming in here with a hand grenade and pulling the pin. And lastly I see that by your comments your mind is already made up. You're not asking for opinions you are just stating yours. So theres no point in answering. Hope you enjoy the BDF.

Uh, the poll is an asking of opinions. I want a vote to see where the people stand on the issue. Yeah, I am suspicious due to a variety of reasons. I didn't say that I was clueless and wanted others to instruct me. Go ahead and vote, help out with the stats.

It's a stupid poll. Not enough questions.

I think part of the reason why she claimed you weren't asking for opinions is because a lot of the time here when people are "asking for opinions" and someone gives their opinion and it doesn't match up with theirs they attack that person.

Whatever we think of Israel, if it is an outworking of prophecy and God's plans then we must watch.

I would never give one penny to their causes, and regard their actions with abhorrence; many many Jews also feel likewise.

Traditional orthodox Judaism regards Zionism as a putrid travesty of God's Law.

I think the Church should focus on God's message, (which includes saving Jews also), and stay well out of politics.

Why would we vote on something God has settled...? Sounds dangerous.

Most of the time there isn't a discussion in BDF.
It's you're opinion lines up with mine or I'm going to try to pull whatever I have on you and argue with you until a mod stops us.

Basically they are immigrants - not one of them can trace their ancestry to the original 12 tribes, the genealogical records were all destroyed in the 66-70 AD war.

The conditions for return to the land for Israel in the OT was in repentance and obedience to Torah - seeing as the Old Covenant/Torah is no longer valid there are no conditions for a return to the land.

This isn't really accurate Locutus. The info is passed down by word of mouth, of which tribe one is of. There are many familes that haven't mixed with gentiles, stayed in communities of their own in other countries, much like the muslims are trying to do now.

For my part, it don't matter entirely too much...as long as no one is trying to start WWIII over it and suggest that we should die over their real estate in order to please God.

Isaiah 11:
11 It shall come to pass in that day
That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time,
To recover the remnant of His people who are left,
From Assyria and Egypt,
From Pathros and Cush,

First time was after the Babylonian captivity, the second time started 14 May 1948.
From Elam and Shinar,

1948 is meaningless - has nothing to do with bible prophecy - the remnant of Isaiah were already being delivered in the 1st century AD:

Rom 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

it is AUTHENTIC. Israel is now gathered in unbelief and then they r purified during da tribulation (jacob's trouble) and then Lord will pour His spirit on them!
christians should stand with israel, she has many enemies now, the world is turning against israel. Read jerusalem post and third intifada is coming soon. Jesus bless israel!
