If you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can go and say unto this mountain go and cast yourself into the sea and it will be done for you. Gods word. Gods promise, God can not lie. Knock and the door shall be opened to you ask and you will receive. In Jesus name Amen. Hope this helps you.

Hi FranC

My son is autism, I pray a Lot, and doesn't get well. God has a plan for us. and His plan is to make us come closer to Him.
The end of the day we Will understand why God let problem happen.

Jesus Said If you eyes bring you to hell, take It of, is better you go to heaven without eyes than go to hell with both of your eyes
Hi Jackson,

My granddaughter has autism. Low on the scale, but it still affects everything. Only those with children like this can understand what it's like.

I've learned that we're to accept God's will. Some make it sound like if we ask for what God wants for us, we'll get it.
In the end, I was asked if my husband really wants healing. Silly question. NO!!! He WANTS to be sick.

Of course we all want to be well. So we're supposed to ask God and He's supposed to give it to us, and if we don't get the healing we ask for?

Bad situation. Since God can do anything, it must be OUR fault that we do NOT receive a healing. What kind of theology is this?
I don't care to start an argument about this, but all I WILL say is that God is not Santa Clause. We don't go to Him to ask for things which may or may not be in His will, we go to worship Him, the creator of the universe.

If we get a healing, we're thankful, and if we don't, we love Him anyway.

I believe that telling people God WILL heal them and then they do not get the healing created a lot of problems for Christianity.

So, let's pray for each other since we understand our problem and let's leave what will be to God.

Gods plan is never to let us get sick or lame. Read the Word and forget silly churchy doctrines. What did you just say? I pray and my daughter does not get healed...So what do you want? Do you want her healed? Or to stay with autism? If you want her to get healed of that thing. You speak what God speaks, not what your eyes see. I don't care if you believe this or not. YOU WILL HAVE WHAT YOU SAY!
Its no wonder you church people don't get prayers answered as much as you pray..You keep speaking against it.

And God does not allow sickness....We do.

"YOU CHURCH PEOPLE"

So, YOU don't go to Church?

Yes..God can and will use anything He can to bring us closer to Him and to teach us. But consider...That is what His Word is for. Romans 8:28 says that All things work together for good to those that love God and are the called....." God will use a broken leg, but He doesn't want you to have a broken leg. You said "So if your statements are correct, why do some people get healed and some don't??
Everyone who prays for a serious healing REALLY wants it." Do they really want it? Well ok. Most do. But it comes down to this. If you don't know that its Gods will that you be healed, how can you believe Him for it? Simply put...You won't believe Him for it and thus..you will not receive it. Receive means to reach out and take it....You won't do that if you don't know that it belongs to you, and that you have a right to it.
I'm only writing because Joe F gave you a like and your statement above makes no sense at all.

So let me get this straight...:

Many on these threads are upset with me because they tell me that JESUS DOES IT ALL and I don't really agree with that for theological reasons.

YOU OTOH, tell me that I have to do it all.

It's up to ME whether or not I get a prayer answered, NOT UP TO GOD.

Wow. I'd call that a nice split in the Church of today.

So,

IS IT GOD DOING EVERYTHNG

or

IS IT ME DOING EVERYTHING?

Maybe it's NEITHER.

1. Some blame God for everything.
2. Some think God works for THEM.

◄ 1577. ekklésia ►
Strong's Concordance
ekklésia: an assembly, a (religious) congregation
Original Word: ἐκκλησία, ας, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: ekklésia
Phonetic Spelling: (ek-klay-see'-ah)
Short Definition: an assembly, congregation, church
Definition: an assembly, congregation, church; the Church, the whole body of Christian believers.

the body of Christ IS the church

CC is a form of church... but one that has unbelievers (neighbors) yolked in as well.... and not ONE teacher but many brothers and sisters

i would say the only way its possible to not "go to" church is to avoid any gathering of believers

"church people" is a silly dig that makes no sense

and judging someone for not going to a modern cathedral or temple is equally silly

thats like saying if you arent close enough to go to one
you cant truely know God

But how do you know? I have had prayers answered through the intercession of the saints.
think of this Cyberman-

Before one can be named a saint, they must have had 3 miracles.
This is while they're still alive.
I DO believe in healing, BTW. It is possible that a particular person has the gift of healing.

Now, when they're dead and are declared a saint and you pray to them, do you suppose it could be possible
that it's God answering that prayer because He heard you?

Just a thought. This is a field where I don't believe anone really knows enough about the after-life.
I do have a problem caused by the omnipresent idea.

Hi J
Have to leave soon, but will be back.

This dumb computer capitalizes all the c's for Church. See. It just did it again.

One day I'm going to sit here and figure out how to disactivate this,,,here's why:

The way you spell Church is very important.

Church with a small c, means the building.
Church with a captial c, means the Body of Christ.

The early Christians gathered together for Church (small c) because they understood it was necessary to encourage each other, to pray together, to share communion together, to hear the word of God together.

I don't consider any forum a form of Church. Small c.
I do consider it a form of Church, capital C.

Everyone should find a Church they like and attend.
Preferably a mainline denomination where one could do bible study and learn some theology.

That's my personal belief -
It's good to be with other Christians and to do this in person.
Right now there is no Church for me. I DO miss this a lot.

my two cents...

i do 100% agree meeting with TRUE brothers and sisters is a huge help

someone may have been shown something we havent

and point it out to us

it can help us stay humble and meek

help us see our mistakes

and those further in their walk can be shining examples and help us along our way

which is why "church people" sounds silly to me

but ive seen many on here act as if GOING to "church" (modern sense) is the difference between true and false Christians

which... is just wrong (not pointing at you)

No. Its not wrong to ask Chrisians to pray for you. An example..James 5:14 I still suggest you be very careful which Christians you ask though..for reasons stated above.
Yes the ones that are still alive on earth.

James 5 is not directing us to pray to workers with familiar disembodied spirits as form of necromancy. We receive our daily bread from our father In heaven who knows what we need before we ask ….not from seeking after the dead(.Necromancy)

There is one manner not mulitible that we pray by faith towards the unseen .Our Father in heaven not saints that no longer have any part here on earth when they do depart from here under the Sun..

Isa 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek (necromancy )unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

keyword there "let" remember paul prayed for some form of healing but the Lord answered him saying"my grace is sufficient for thee",meaning if anyone has some form of affliction and it stays it is because God knows that you can still keep moving forward with it,for though a man be blind does he not "try" to walk?
though a man cannot hear does he not pay attention?
if a man stumble and fall will he not get right back up?
if a woman's baby die in child birth does she not still long to have a child?
if a man be bed ridden will he not still persist to manage what he has?
all such people who still move forward for God despite their personal afflictions, are those who "Truly" serve God for they have appreciated what God has given, and two particular gifts did God give to all mankind that were profound yet many overlook...
1.Life,be grateful not spiteful God hath hath made all he even knows the number of the very hairs upon your head,as well as your desires
2.Jesus/Immanuel(God with us)
God came upon earth in flesh and died for us in the form of his only begotten son, whom died for all our sins, retrieved the keys of hell from heaven and even fulfilled his own law all to spare our lives, give us hope, and even comfort us afterward with his spirit, all that for us,and what are we to do compared to what he has done for us,very little by comparison yet what have we all done at sometime in our lives?
curse his name, seek our own death, despise what we have, become idle because of afflictions,do whatever sinful thing we desire with no thought of consequences...
particularly one thing we should "never" be idle about no matter our afflictions is our "faith" and "working for God",
I'm sure many could ponder well wait what about those who are in wheel chairs or have amputations or the like, well they are alive yet dead in Christ when born again so "nothing" is stopping them from serving God,I'm dead tired nearly every night or day even having very sore bones often, yet I strive to make time for serving God,on the 7 Christian Chat sites I'm a member of to welcome people, pray for those who request prayer, answer bible questions through the holy spirit,Go to church, when ever possible, but am I going to complain about serving God...
What for???
has he not already helped me when I needed help even when I didn't ask for his help?
has he not kept me alive when by all accounts I could have died many times?(seizures, deathly gashes, broken leg at not even a year old by a cruel person, poisonous spiders on me many times, deathly snakes near me,stung in the ear, stung in the foot as a child, crashed bikes, hit my head countless times, multiple ear infections, and that's just most of what I can remember!)
God has already done "plenty" for "All of us" we will have afflictions of some sort but if we believe on God and keep "moving forward"for him instead of dwelling on whys or what ifs,I would encourage "All" to do right by God instead of waiting for him to do right for you in your own view,I hope this shall help many to further understand God...I'm about to fall asleep now and it's 7 am...God bless you all!

I agree J.

Just because one goes to Church means nothing at all.
I said my reasons for going.

Going there for the sake of going to Church is useless.

thank for Sharing your problem brother. I believe God love you and want to be closer with you, He train us to love and think for other. I can imagine If we always healthy and rich, we may have dificulty to love other, we become arogan and do not need God

earthly pleasure is not our goal, because earthly pleasure is temporary.

I pray for your healing brother, physical healing and especialy spiritual healing.

we, me include, is not perfectly spiritualy healthy, we are in the proces to be healthy. I pray, God Will give us strength to Face all the problem. God allow all problem happen to mole us to be more spiritual mature person

in the end of the day when the time come, when we see His face, we Will say Thank you for all the problem we face.

Finally we know that God allow all the problem happen to us, to take us to heaven.

if you eyes couse you to hell, take It off, your better go to heaven without eyes than go to hell with your both eye

if your health bring you to hell, God allow you to sick, your better go to heaven with your sickness than healthy but go to hell

some time sickness and problem help us to heaven, than we say Thank to the Lord for our problem.

LOL It only does not make sense to you, dear lady. Ok You said. "Many on these threads are upset with me because they tell me that JESUS DOES IT ALL and I don't really agree with that for theological reasons."

They are not completely wrong. Jesus did do it all. His shed blood. His death and the horror that led up to it.

And I suspect this is the part that makes no sense to you. "YOU OTOH, tell me that I have to do it all.

It's up to ME whether or not I get a prayer answered, NOT UP TO GOD." So By Jesus stripes you were healed. Its done. Jesus done it. What is your part then if Jesus did it all. Well simply this Fran. You receive it. receive is verb. It means 'to reach out an take' So you reach out in faith....Oh Faith....Faith worketh by love.....Oh my! Am I walking in Love so my faith can work?
See what's happening here? We have responsibilities to fulfill. If we are not getting needed healing, needed finances, needed deliverance from anything you can think of, we have to ask ourselves, ask God, What are WE missing here. What do I have to do to get into line with the Word so I can receive it? Kind of a windy answer but I hope its clear.

God did everything but what you are to do. If I was not clear, please yell at me and I'll try again.

Lets see here....You entered this conversation #196 with a poke and a jab. You opened the ball. You called the tune...You either dance to it or go home.
