Here is a whole thread that speaks about it. Those that believe our loving Father throws His children into hell have one view. Those that believe in the gospel of the grace of God in Christ's finished work believe another view.

Read through this thread and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your own spirit. ( the mother-in-law view is not discussed in this thread..:). )

Hebrew believers who want to go back under and inferior way.....there are no scriptures in context that teaches the lose of salvation....VERB tense, verbiage, context and the very definitions of words prove that salvation is a one time event for eternity....It is JESUS that begins our faith, it is JESUS that finishes our faith, it is JESUS that will finish the good work he began, we are saved to the uttermost, sealed with the Spirit of promise, in the Father's hand, in Christ's hand and he promises to never leave us or forsake us and NOTHING can separate us from the Love of Christ......

JESUS said he would LOSE NOTHING that the Father hath given him and WILL raise it up on the last day......reference the verse references above.....!

Just curious you proclaim people cannot lose their salvation. So if you personally decided to take the mark of the beast do you actually believe you are still saved

"If you could lose your salvation, you would." John MacArthur

None of us are good enough, smart enough, strong enough, to keep ourselves from falling. We can't fall because we are IN Christ.

Thank you. Have a good night. Don't forget to tip your waiter/waitress. Don't foget to lock up when you leave.

The bible is clear....No saved child of God will take the mark and "what if" games like this are not from God nor does it help any who are weak in the faith....

Is that something you added? lol the scripture doesn't say "no saved child of God will take the mark". However did does forewarn not to take it. You have freewill like everyone else. But i understand not answering because if you did that would probably put a hole in your cannot lose salvation theory.

Hebrews 10:10
And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Jn 10:27 — Jn 10:28
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

If we're Christ's then we're Christ's. If we're not, then we never were.

Sometimes verses need to be studied with regard to all relevant verses. That way we see Biblical Truths more accurately.

I did answer and just because you play foolish games and reject scripture means nothing to me...the only people who take the mark are those who have been deluded by God because they refused to receive the love of the truth that they might be saved....WAKE U to the truth!

What if Jesus turned out to be a liar? Because He did say that the Holy Spirit will be in us forever in John 14:16. Jesus also said that no man can pluck us out of His hand nor the Father's hand.

Jesus did say that He will never leave nor forsake us - never!

Jesus did say that all that came to Him - He will in no wise cast out.

That would ruin everything in this salvation business wouldn't it if Jesus turned out to be a liar?

Ahhh...but I do not believe that Jesus is a liar. We are called believers for a reason...:)

He (MacArthur) may have an issue with understanding Rom 8:29, which is what I first thought of when you posted about the mark of the beast with relation to losing salvation.

A lot of the mindset is to focus on the "you could lose your salvation" Scriptures because people don't want to lose their salvation, so they want to do everything in their power to keep it. The only problem with this is, it becomes about self-righteousness not Christ's righteousness. And Paul calls this falling from grace. The FEAR of losing salvation ends up causing problems that it's trying to avoid. Because Fear isn't our Lord. God is and He is Love.

And there are far more "keep your Salvation" Scriptures than lose your salvation. But we fall into error when we take a minority position in Scripture to retranslate simple majority position Scriptures that clearly say, you are saved - forever.

Peter was a fast learner.

John 13:8
“Never shall You wash my feet!” Peter told Him. Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with Me.” 9“Then Lord, Simon Peter replied, “not only my feet, but my hands and my head” as well.
