John the baptist was Elijah/Elias

Matthew 11:
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.

This is the correct interpretation as confirmed by John 1:21:
And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

Rahab was a prostitute.

So was Gomer <---name is passive in Hebrew....100% a prostitute.....and who was commanded to marry her?

The names of the children indicative of God's relationship with Israel....and HE had to go buy HER back from her lovers.....imagine that...!

The spirit of Elijah is the spirit or power that God gave him and it is not his own human spirit.
Similarly, John the Baptist obtains a similar spirit or power from God while he was in his mother’s womb.
This spirit or power was to perform ‘similar’ acts as Elijah.

These acts of Elijah were to call the house of Israel (Northern Kingdom) to repentance and to know the true God. The days of Elijah were in turmoil. Elijah prepares the way for Elisha who performed miracles as did Elijah. The Northern Kingdom would fall within 100 years of his preaching because of their unbelief.

Similarly, John the Baptist preached the gospel to bring Judea (including the descendants of Jacob) and to prepare and declare the person of their salvation. He preached in turmoil times as well. As we know because of their unbelief, Judea was ruined and over 1 million people died (66-70 AD).

So Elijah was the same type and ‘similar' spirit as John the Baptist. And Elisha possessed a ‘similar’ spirit as Jesus the Christ.

Elisha has more power from God that any human being at that time of Elijah.

So when Jesus said the John the Baptism is the Elijah, he meant that John the Baptist performed similar acts, in the spirit and purpose of God, as Elijah.

In Christ, Always

The book of Esther is the only book in the Bible that never mentions God by name.

Rahab was a prostitute.
Joshua 6:25 And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

Hebrews 11:31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

James 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

The word, "Love", is never mentioned in the two books named for women.
Albeit, the word 'loveth' is in Ruth in one place, and the word 'loved' is in Esther in one place.

None of these books actually contain the letters 'love' ( not even within a larger word ):

Numbers
2Kings
1Chronicles
Ezra
Joel
Obadiah
Jonah
Nahum
Habakkuk
Haggai

None of these books contain the exact word 'love':

Ruth
Esther
Job
Lamentations
Malachi
Acts
2Peter

All of the words in the Bible containing the letters 'love':

beloved
cloven
clovenfooted
love
loved
lovedst
lovely
lover
lovers
loves
lovest
loveth
wellbeloved
